About to start this project today on my own truck. 2004, 4.8 V8 with Manual. I bought truck new in 2004, plastic lasted until 2023! But I recently had new transmission and clutch and master and slave cylinder all done, 350K miles on original NV3500. Thanks for the very in depth video, yes the other videos and alldata is ridiculous to loosen entire dashboard, your way much better. I got the Dorman 926-086 part with the upgraded metal reinforcement ring for the Master Cylinder mount, $67 at Oreilly.

Update: got it done with the Dorman part. Noticed that the part where the Pedal goes into the bracket it is flared. I installed the new bracket by itself first then just pushed the pedal up into place. Just be sure that the spring loaded pin on the outer side (left) goes in first, then wiggle it around and maybe rotate it a little until the right (inside) pin snaps in also. Much easier to install that bracket with the pedal out of the way. Could probably with the right tool pop the pedal out before removing a bad OEM bracket also to get the pedal out of the way.

I’m at a loss I can’t get mine out I have to have mine fix with in a hour my family had to get picked up and taken to the hospital from heat exhaustion trucks dead on the side of the road can’t start it because of this so no air conditioning
