But you know it's funny though???? A lot of the younger generation are now jumping on the MJ bandwagon... And to me, that's a good thing because they see it for what it is..... The documentary really changed a lot of kid's minds...
And they don't understand when attempting to drag Jordan they are actually making the case that he is the Goat. I would think when trying to diminish MJ please have a sensible, objective, and well thought out response. Some of these callers comments are just inane.
How did Jordan have a stacked team, when Scottie Pippen missed half of the 97/98 season with injury and the Bulls still won 62 games? Nobody seems to mention that. They only bring up the 94 season
@@cobrachannel100 Armstrong stepped up and became an all star that year, Kukoc was a BIG piece, he dominated the euro league and Krause wanted to draft him to the Bulls since 92, and we all know Kerr. Don't try to downplay it man
@@TheJackKnite That is exactly what I am saying. My argument is to the idiot who says MJ left and those guys won the same number of games. I pointed out they added those 3 players but I know it was 4. I dont remember the fourth one.
I love how people bring up how when Jordan retired the bulls won 55 games bt never bring up the next year they were a .500 team before Jordan came back n they went 18-4. The bulls never won titles without Micheal. Period
These people never even put the 93-94 season into context properly because they want to trivialize Jordan. He helped players to develop and most of that first 3-peat team remained. With the addition of good new players, they were able to fair well over the season. Prior lessons learned and passed down enabled the team to go far. When Lebron left those teams, those teams core players also left OR were on the injured reserved list. That is why they tanked. People never make a note of this or they just don't know about it.
@@jakeharrison207 The offense wasn't great either, they ranked 14th or 15th in the NBA that year without Jordan....The 55 win Bulls won off defense. Also the team was better defensively and offensively with Jordan.....and this is coming from a big Magic Johnson fan.

@@Big_3000 Is Lebrin better at that or is it a matter of strategy. Jordan has proved he can avg just as many rebs and ast when he played pg. And what does it really matter what stats you have if you playing a losing strategy. Stats are what you get while trying to win. Wins > Stats
@@Matt-kd8xx Lol. You're so uninformed about basketball. Mike was only swept in 86 and 87. He played the super Celtics who had 5 hall of fame players on the team. One man can't beat a superteam. That same logic applies to lebron when he was swept against better teams like the Spurs and warriors.
@@phraymtv6655 kobe didn't choke in the finals like lechoke did in 2011 while having a finals mvp in wade and all star bosh on his super heat. Kobe is 5-2 in the finals and didnt get swept twice. @@gagandhaliwal9391 Lebron's individual final's performances are more impressive than Kobe's yes Kobe's teams have a better record. But Shaq was the main guy in the first 3 and Kobe had poor shooting in the next 3 but he had Gasol as back up. Lebron's 2011 perfromance was his worst and his 2007 was not very good but he was very young leading a bad team in 2007. But his other finals performances have been good even when he loses. His stats blow Kobe's out of the water. Kobe only shot over 45% in one of his finals appearances and that was probably cause the other team was focused on Shaq who was averaging 36 points! Plus it was the 52-30 New Jersey Nets! While Lebron has gone up against a 73 win team and a team with Durant, Curry and Thompson. Jordan is the GOAT in my opinion but Lebron is higher than Kobe.
Terry F your making a lot of excuses for lebron. the fact remains is he’s been blown off the floor multiple times in the finals and that never happened to Kobe. you can say he had better stats than Kobe in the finals but where did that get him when he’s lost 67% of the time he’s been in the finals..? that’s not impressive at all especially if your supposed to be considered the goat but all people like you do is make excuses. Lebron averaging a triple double while his team is getting swept is not impressive to me im sorry. It just shows me those numbers are empty and had absolutely no impact being that they got swept. If lebron was really the goat he would of been able to keep his teams competitive in the 07, 14, and 18 finals. You can make the argument that he was playing against better teams in those three finals but you can also make the argument that lebron’s teams shouldn’t of been dominated the way they were...
Louie Paolo Lumanglas He shot 29.6% from 3 without the shortened 3pt line. Which is fine because when he needed to hit 3s he did and could. He just wasn’t a great 3pt shooter. Not a negative on MJ or his legacy. Let’s just be truthful
@Brian G ... People never realize this. His percentage was a bit lower, from 2- and 3-land, because of the bailout shots and he still averaged a crazy percentage for his Bulls career!
@@ericjordan6059 This. More over, IF Jordan was practicing 3 point shots like modern players today, his FG% at 3pt range would've been just as spectacular. Remember when everyone used to say that Rookie MJ couldn't shoot at mid-range...by the late 80s, they all completely shut their mouths because MJ was an absolute killer with the mid-range in his late 80s and early 90s incarnation. The only difference is that he didn't have to rely upon it as much as his older late 90s counterpart due to his peak athleticism version which could allow him to split defenses and get to the hoop at will. Tell MJ that he isn't "good" at something and the guy would come out and clean you up on doing that very thing. MJ if he wanted too would've been an absolutely spectacular 3pt shooter, and even when he as you stated started to "try" his averages were still good despite never truly practicing the shot.
KD, Steph, Kawhi, Dirk, Duncan all won Championships at LeBron Peak. Ewing, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Payton, Miller, Drexler all denied Championships at MJ Peak.
@Jimmy Taylor thank u! Its weird old heads never talk about jodan loses.... they never talk about how jordan retired because he was tired! Just talk the truth thats all we want.... we dont count the wizards years like wtf lol he still played! Oh jordan locked the league and nobody never won ! Oh rele so rockets and all that dont matter and before he went to the finals no body won no? Lol bullshit.... they always put holes in lebron career etc do the same for mike thank u
OMG thank you!! Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe are the culprits of this. Then you have other members of the media who dont put Lebron as the goat, but still number 2?! They all prematurely leap frogged Lebron over these greats. Lebron is def top 10, but he has more to prove to crack the top 5
Imagine leading the league in scoring like 12 times, was a steals leader twice, was all defensive team like 12 times, and somenobody like Channing say, all he did was score. lol
The whole point of basketball is to score and defend and MJ does both better than Lebron. What Lebrons the goat cause he makes sure to go outta his way to get those 10 assists? Lol Lebron more worried about a triple double stat line and that’s why he’s 3-6 in finals
@@tylerrbh9769 imagine in that same game jordan torched that whole team.. listen to this stat line for that game 36pts on 14/24 shooting to go along with 12asst and 8 rebs.. go back and watch the game then come back and try and defend this comment
@15:00 Wrong, Jordan could (and did) elevated FAR MORE than Lebron with FAR LESSER talents. First of all, when Jordan left in 1993, the Bulls didn't have the same team in 94, just like when Lebron left in 2010, the Cavs were a totally different team in 2011 (including the coach). So that argument is invalid. Second, The 1997 and 1998 Bulls have the two worst/lowest scoring supporting casts by a winning team in the history of the playoffs (shot clock era). And Jordan was 34 and 35, oyt of his prime. 1994 Rockets - 59.3 ppg 2006 Heat - 58.2 ppg 1999 Spurs - 57.4 ppg 1997 Bulls - 55.5 ppg 1998 Bulls - 54.5 ppg Even better than that, in the 1997 nba playoffs, Jordan actually became the only player in nba history to lead a team to a championship with only ONE PLAYER BY HIS SIDE IN DOUBLE DIGIT. No other Bull teammate averaged even 8 PPG. That's the definition of carrying a team and it's unheardof. And by the way, Rob Parker is right on this...there's a HUGE DIFFERENCE between win 3 championship in a row and get knocked out in the second round of the playoffs. The last time it happened to the Bulls was in 1988.
Megadrive Jordan wouldn’t make the finals in 07 or 18 with those Cavs teams. Lebron is the most valuable player ever, jordan is the greatest. We don’t have to diminish a Mount Rushmore player in Lebron to prop up MJ. MJ is the goat we all know this, LBJ still top 2-5 all time.
That’s untrue. The Lakers and other division leaders would get a lead on the other teams in the standings and would sit out the final six to eight games to stay fresh for the playoffs. They’ve been doing that before the 90s.
Have you guys heard the joke of a guy named Hollins who's a teammate of Lebron too, I believe? If you haven't, look up the video. The one he's debating/arguing with Shaq. Lebron's great. No doubt. Lebron is just not the GOAT! Michael Jordan is the GOAT! Period. It's been over!
🤣 disgusting! He doesn't respect the real GOAT and places himself ahead. Now he's being slapped in the face by reality when the Black Jesus unleashed his wrath. 😏
There's never been an argument to say Lebron is the goat and that's why it's a fake debate. You want to talk about the influence of the documentary. What about the 24/7 pro-Lebron hype that we've been getting the last 10 years? Give me a break...
Kareem should have won more. He played on a stacked team and when it was fair throughout the league Kareem only won once until magic came. Kareem couldn't give himself the ball so I truly feel big men cannot have that influence over the game. He's not better then Jordan, magic, lebron, bird and kobe imo. He's 6th imo but dominance he's top 2 with Jordan. His stats are even more impressive then anybody career wise.
@@datguitarplayer1656 I do like Kareem but the knock on him is that the lakers showtime was mostly magic's team. Heck, magic won game 7 and finals mvp as a ROOKIE when he played Center for an injured Kareem. Kareem has the most unstoppable shot but just can't get over the fact that he could not win a title until magic came along. When he won the first one, he had Oscar Robertson. Jordan has 6 titles with 6 FINALS MVP. If pippen won three finals mvp then yeah... We would have a different conversation. However, I can't remember one series where we said pippen was the best player over Jordan.
So the 2007 Cavs had no business in the Finals, yet they were the #2 seed in the East? So does that mean that the only team that deserved to be in the Finals from the East that year was the #1 seed team in the East?
@@mauricedavis1740 that Finals was unwatchable. The average margin of victory for SA was 6 pts per game and it STILL seemed like the most noncompetitive finals I'd ever seen. LeBron was awful, but he was still learning how to win while going up against a multiple time championship team. His game was exposed.
More narrative from ESPN and people suck it up. I remember more than a few analyst believing Cleveland would win that series. That changed once game 3 was over lol Also, Iverson and the Sixers shouldn't have been in the finals in 2001 against LA. But at least they won 1 damn game.
Ahh...the Kobe fans. Never seen a basketball game in real life, all under the age of 28, and when they saw him play one time on TV when they were 11 years old they remember him being cool. Kobe fans are a unique breed- not basketball fans, not Lakers fans, just Kobe fans.
I was a huge doctor j and sir Charles fan. When Barkley was traded to the suns for a bunch of stiffs I still remained his fan. I was so happy that he was finally going to exact revenge on Jordan. Since I was a Sixers fan I hated Jordan for two reasons he replaced the doctor as the most dynamic player in the nba. And two, he had beaten chuck and the Sixers back to back seasons in the playoffs. So when he got traded I thought, for sure that Barkley would prevail with a better squad and beat jordan finally. So you can only imagine my contempt for him increased exponentially. The point is I never was a Jordan fan. Till this day I have never bought Jordan's either. (I'm a Barkley air max 95 guy). But when Jordan beat Phoenix back in 1993 I simply gave it up to his airness. To me the suns were better than the bulls. And I thought Barkley was better that Jordan cause he rebounded and passed more ( sound familiar). Boy was I wrong! Sometimes people's hate for another person can cloud our judgment. I don't need a documentary, stats or anything else other than my own two eyes to see that the show Jordan put on in that finals sealed the deal for me. If Barkley with a better team couldn't get the job done then no one could. Mj in my mind has been the goat to me since That 1993 finals were he avg over 40pts a game to Barkley's 27pts a game. I was done after that. The issue became undebatable !
Yeah I was a huge Barkley fan too...even was cool with his younger brother. I always thought Barkley was too nice to Jordan in those Finals though because I definitely thought they would win that year as you did. That one let me down majorly cuz Barkley was a beast that year for sure. 6.4 1/2 and killed at power forward....unreal. Just like Lebron is a 1 of 1 as well.... there'll never be another player that big, that strong, that fast, and have the hoops IQ like that and Bron never even focused on scoring and is almost top 3 all time....wow. I get that MJ was great and I watched all of the 80s and 90s but for people to say LBJ isn't a monster in his own right is ludicrous. I've always said people won't respect his talent and skill set until he's gone....and this is coming from an actual hooper that played in college against former NBA players...💯.
@@IG9611 honestly. I think lebron would've been more dominant if he focused more on scoring and defending and at the same time let his coach and team mates make plays for him. He can score 40ppg with his freak size and athleticism esp in this less physical era. Him moving without the ball and posting up is harder to defend. But i guess fillin those stats are more important.
@R S No it is clever, that's why I wrote it. After LeBron retires he's going full Twitter revolutionary/ Al Sharpton. Saying a whole lot but not helping anyone
People forgot....Lebron, Wade and Bosh....only won 2 out of 4....Thats a failure for being a superteam..... Im not asking for 4 for 4..but at least 3 out of 4...........
Imo, LBJ is the Peyton Manning of the NBA. He is the system. So when you take him off, the team falls. Brady was out and the Patriots still won 11 games. Who has the rings? Who's the GOAT? Love Peyton and LBJ, but them being the system has held them back even as great as they are
Good analogy my friend. Hadn’t thought of that before. Then it’s strange that Rob does not consider TB12 the best like he does Michael? His standards and criteria change depending on the players.
Lebron: no one watches what they say, trash talk all day MJ: (EVERYONE FEARS) Theirs a actual rule around the nba that damn near every player, gm,coach whoever follows (Never talk trash to Jordan)😂😂😂
100% Jordan left the residue of his high standards on the organization, His impact, reputation what have you. And that 94' team played accordingly. So now imagine if Jordan was on that 94' team... he would've simply closed it out.
@@Reignwonton I always believed Jordan's teams were stacked, but you are right, and I never realized it. 94 Bulls would have gone to the championship and would have possibly taken down Hakeems Rockets. But nonetheless Jordan would have taken those Bulls to the championship which speaks about his basketball skills. I truly don't believe there is a best player ever in any sport. Top 5 sure but in no order. From the eye test on pure skills (things player can do on the court) I havent seen a more complete player than LeBron. Now the only problem with LeBron LeBron most frustrating part about his play is that he didn't play like Kobe. He was a much better player from talent stand point but he just didnt have "it." Kobe could impose his will and would, but LeBron doesn't. Him feeling out quarter was always frustrating. LeBron would be considered the greatest hands down if he would play every game like he did against the warriors game 1 2017 season or against the celtics game 6. But he doesnt do it so ultimately I'm giving MJ the nod, but my eyes tell me LeBron is the greatest as a complete player Again I grew up watching basketball from 2000s to now. I never saw the actual bulls at an age to realize how great MJ was. I remember him as a wizard player more than bulls so I really have no idea how great he is. I saw a prime T-Mac, Kobe, and LeBron.

It’s obvious Channing Frye didn’t even watch Jordan play or he’s another plant in LeBron’s pocket!! Dude could barely average 6 rebounds a game at 7ft tall. HE LITERALLY DID NOTHING BUT SCORE, but he’s bashing Jordan? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I want to know the reason they have Lebron 2nd greatest all time. Lebron does not have the 2nd greatest accolades all time. Winning or stats or a combination of both.
@Amun Ra There’s only 2 players with 4 finals mvps Jordan and Lebron. If Kareem has 6 rings and magic won all five with Kareem simple math and that doesn’t make sense
@Amun Ra Averaged over 20 ppg and 7 apg for 10 years so therefore we have nothing else to talk about. You obviously started watching basketball in 2015
@Joshua Hunter what about lebron seeking and playing with Allstars hofers and champions most his career 9 finals three rings. 2 rings are controversial. Today's tech. U see ray Allen foot was on the line. And fact the NBA suspended Drayton Green instead of lebron because they knew the cavs would lose the series. Its overrated to say he the best.
@Joshua Hunter LeBron is not a versatile defender. His defense has always been overrated. He has never shutdown anyone. DWade is a way better and versatile defender than LeBron. In fact, Wade just like Jordan, had over 100 Blocks and 200 steals in one season. LeBron never came close to anything like this because he is overrated. The guy always hide on defense. In his weak era, there are no real centers. So LeBron never guarded any real Power Forwards nor Centers. So stop it with the lies. Kuzma had to push this garbage guy on his defensive assignment just last season. It is laughable. The guy was even scared to guard Durant on the biggest stage.
We dont keep it real alot....truth be told bron hasnt surpassed Kobe. Bron just calls himself the goat. Y didnt bron conquer his own era?!? 3-9?!? Even with a loaded heat team?!?
Notice how Kobe went from Top 15 All Time to Top 10 after he passed away? And now the Kobe fan boys wanna put him Top 3. Kobe was great, remember him for what he was, he was good enough for you to not have to lie about who he was. Contentious Top 10/Unanimous Top 15 All Time is a helluva career accomplishment.
Michael LeBron ain't top 10 he should have 7 or 8 championships but he has 3 that's poor Kobe has always been better then LeBron just like Duncan was always better then LeBron but MJ and LeBron are by far the 2 most marketed basketball players ever but that doesn't make them the greatest especially LeBron at least MJ could really play and was a winner
The bulls did well when Jordan left because the bulls used an actual basketball system that was not dependant on one player holding the ball the whole game. Jordan took it over at the end Wich is why they win chips. The LeBron system that you might notice is the same whatever his listed position is based completely off of him holding the ball reading the floor driving and kicking. Just like Westbrick and James Haren. So they do poor when he leaves cause nobody knows what to do. Wich is why Kyrie got the hell out of dodge. D
@@aaronaiysen7534 They see it. The just choose to ignore it because that's not an excuse they can use to justify Liebron failures when it comes to winning
When LeBron left Cleveland the first time, SIX other players left. Essentially the whole team left, so of course they didn't win as many games. There was no one on the floor. How does that elevate any one player over another?
Same here. I tell people all the time I was 12 when MJ came into the league. I went to a few games and I also saw Kobe and Lebron play live. They can't compare by some distance.
No legitimate argument...at least. At this point.. LeBron fans calling him goat is basically "trolling" . Not even quoting his stats can make a case for LeBron. If anything all those stats , minutes played, millions to stay in shape , trading players, firing coaches , going from team to team , running his own offense, throwing teammates under the bus, drama, taco Tuesday , and the dive treatment JUST To BE 3-6 . All that just be 3-6.. 33% win percentage for allllllllllllllll those stats. LeBron might as well be a normal star and get the same results.
That team won55 because they had the same core players in place and Jordan built that team and brought them to that standard which Phil /Scottie instilled! And remember the year after that they were barely 500!
Nobody ever mentions Lebron won with teammates he DIDN'T develop himself. During all this ring chasing years, he was teaming with already established players like Wade, Bosh, Love, and Kyrie. Jordan was there while Pippen was coming off the bench, he was there when Kerr was a nobody, he was there when Paxson was just a guy at the end of the bench. Rodman was already a great in his own right but he was far from his Piston prime years, the Bulls got him for Will Perdue FFS. He wasn't some superstar who warrants a huge contract like Bosh or Love because he was a role player.
Exactly. That was a completely short-sighted point that caller made about teams being bad after he leaves. OF COURSE teams are going to be bad when he leaves because literally everything revolves around him. Everything has to be shifted to accomodate what LeBron wants to do. Phil Jackson taught Jordan how to play a different way yet remain just as effective but from more of a team approach that prioritized winning and team play. LeBron dominates the ball and thinks that the only way to make people better is by having them stand at the corner or the top of the key for a kickout three after he's dribbled the ball for 15 seconds. 20/10 guys like Bosh and Love are reduced to spot up shooters playing with LeBron. I give LeBron credit in that he makes guys like Mo Williams and JR Smith better but that's about it.
An interesting fact for Lebron fans...for his career he shoots only 37% outside of 3 feet from the basket and in the playoffs that number goes down to 31%. So essentially outside of layups and dunks he's actually a very below average scorer. You can't find any weakness in Jordan's game anywhere. This stat to me by itself completely destroys any argument for Lebron.
The generation after Kobe either played together or didn't win. Lebron can't be debated against Jordan because he started the Super Team era! Lebron got his buddies making fools of themselves trying to defend him! Paul George wanted to go to the Lakers until Lebron came there!
Respect All and Fear None what you just said wasn't relevant to the original point most of the teams you mentioned were built through the draft LeBron stacked the deck in this era without superteams whereas in the 60 70 and 80s most teams would be considered superteams because there was less teams meaning top players regularly played together I don't put asterisks on LeBron championships but with those teams he's had its title or bust and more times then not he's just that's why he still isn't a top 10 player all time not good enough
@news flash he also went back and won in Cleveland.Look out for Lebron documentary 20 years from now with these narratives. left cleveland jesrsey got burnt went back gave them a title and went to la and won a championship. 3 different teams 3 different championships and made good on a promise to a city void of a sports championship

All you have to do is say that I’m the greatest of all time. Deal?” Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson, Damon Jones: “Sounds good LeBron. Thank you so much!” Shannon Sharpe: “Ay Goat James, ol’ Shay Sharpe will say it too!”
Magic4413 that caller was smoking something man. if you jacked up a three, your ass would be on the bench and possibly not playing anymore. It was inside out rather than outside in. And at the time it was like you can’t win shooting from the outside, until teams eventually did and the blueprint changed. This version of basketball seems watered down and ratings driven. Just like the nfl. All about the offense
This generation thinks that if something is more entertaining that it makes it "better." Of course, the game and players' skills have evolved. Guys can do more with the ball...but that doesn't make the game better. For me, who grew up on late 80s/90s basketball, it's tough to watch most regular season games now. Dudes don't play hard every night, everyone does the same thing (pick and rolls, 3 pointers), and it's way too easy to score. The game has gotten better in alot of ways but worse in others. But I still prefer guys competing, which you don't see consistently every night now. And, you're right, RU-vid clips ain't gonna give you that context.
LeBron's weaknesses are not just those that are visible. He cannot seem to play within a system unless it has been created for him to be ball dominant. Jordan learned early on, to play within the system of the team.
MJ: 11.4 APG in the 91 Finals (Magic the GOAT OF PG 12.4 APG) MJ was a phenomenal passer, if he wanted to he could avg 35-10-10. the system was designed to maximise him differently and it worked damn near to perfection. LBJ never avg that much apg in anything.
Terrible When Mike Left they ran the triangle offense you know the offense thats 12 and 2 in the finals from the 70s until 2010... unless you know that offense that Tex Winters perfected your not gonna understand that.
I still don't get why LBJ is #2? How did he pass Magic, Duncan, Kareem, Kobe or even Bird? Do a real comparison to Kareem, Duncan and Magic and he isn't as good.
Here's some facts about why MJ is the GOAT and Lebum is just a GOAT Michael Jordan has: •3 more rings •3 more final mvps •1 more DPOY •1 more season MVP •9 more scoring titles •3 more steals leader •3 more all defensive team selections •4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer. •800 more steals •Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10) •Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals Lebron did it twice •6/6 (never allowed a game 7) •Lebron had much more offensive help, example: Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring * In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26 •MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs •MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games.. MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons Lebron after his 16th season, is still chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago” •Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg. (86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics. •Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line. •in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this. •the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%. •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3% •MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3. •MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9% •LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games. Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games. Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times (updated 2018) •MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.. •Mj also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy. Also, MJ averaged 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-88 season which is absolutely bonkers for a 6’6″ shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. Mj is the GOAT. MIchael Jordan: •NBA record 5 playoffs series’ averaging atleast 40ppg •Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY •Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series: 41.0 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA Finals •Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win Most Valuable Player, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (1987-88) •Only player in history to average at least 30pts 6reb 5assists And 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES. •Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), Defensive Player of the Year (1987-88), NBA MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98), All-Star MVP (1988, 1996, 1998), and Finals MVP (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season * He did this SIX TIMES!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98) •One of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87) * Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this. •MJ is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at age 40, and he did it twice! •In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk Champ, All Star Game MVP, NBA Scoring Title, League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Michael in only ELEVEN complete seasons with the Bulls: -10 scoring titles, -Won Defensive Player of the Year, -9 times all defensive team, -9time All NBA, -5 league MVPs -6 finals MVPs All 11 seasons. Mj has done in 11 seasons things Lebron hasn’t done and won’t do in his whole career. Nuff said
The ability of Jordan to dominate you no matter how far up you are on the all time list makes him the goat and his ultimate alpha male mentality over every super star it's just insane
Brad Iverson LeBron makes his teammates worse in order to score like he does that's why his numbers always look good and his teammates look shot despite the fact there very talented
Kobe's a contended Top 10, a consensus Top 15 and nowhere near the Big 3 of Kareem, Jordan & Lebron. Kobe was great, he was, but I only saw him start to crack Top 10 lists after he left us. It's a little revisionist- I'm Kobe's age so I lived his career in real time with him- and I remember when he was hated, disrespected and unliked...a guy, people said, who played hero ball that would rather score 40 and lose than 20 and win. Now everybody wants to sing his praises.
@Tyler Holt you're talking about stats alone which is skewed, Kobe's career avg is less after not immediately starting when he came into the league + stats when he got back from the serious injury + his role as the primary scoring SG. But when it comes to an actual Arsenal of moves from ANYWHERE on the court, footwork, defense, obsession with winning, and who's gonna outwork you and put up Thousands of hours in the gym til he perfected a move: Kobe >>>>>>>>>>> LeBron. Most of the guys that have played in the NBA say this
@@datguitarplayer1656 Disagree. Kobe was mostly hated through the media post Shaq and pre Gasol. Many former and current NBA players sing his praises and rank him over Lebron and even have him top 5 (which i agree with). Kobe's resume is more than qualified as a top 5 player, and easily top 10. Kobe is the closest thing weve ever seen to Jordan. He never jumped ship either to form super teams. He stuck it out in those sub-par years with Phil Jackson return, and then he got help via trade with Pau
Channing sounds like he's just hating because his team got beat by Jordan. I hated Tom Brady cause he whipped the Jets all of the time and I enjoyed when the Giants beat him in the Super Bowl twice but I know what type of player he is and he is the best
The arguement that Chi was better when MJ left compared to Cavs when Lbj left is really against lebron, it just confirms that MJ made his teammates better that when he left, his teammates improved drastically.
For years we were told the reason LeBron hasn't won more championships is because he never had a Scottie Pippen of his own. The Last Dance taught us the only reason Scottie Pippen became an All Star & HOF player was because Michael Jordan made him that way.
Love the last dance and there is no question there is gonna be a LeBron documentary in the future, but as far as there life on the court and off the court is concerned, I think we know more about LeBron's life because we live in the age of social media where almost every aspect of his life is shown, and now after seeing the last dance and learning more about what Jordan have to do, Jordan's greatness just shines even more than the highlight we see him before.
Broussard doesn’t understand the fact that everybody starved for success when Jordan owned the league but everybody eats during the So called Lebron era or the Lebron eastern conference era.
When LeBron left Cleveland for Miami, didn’t they change coaches and lose the second best player in the team as well as other role players? What about the year Jordan returned and only played 18 regular season games? The Bulls by All-Star break were barely above .500 ...that isn’t the whole story about the the Cavs and Bulls without LeBron and Jordan.
These niggas are bias they make the narrative championships & finals mvp lebron is MR. playoffs based off they’re argument Bill Russell is the 🐐 Micheal Jordan was a Talented Scorer but he was loser until all the other great stars started to retire!!!
That Cleveland team was so bad because everyone was hurt. Mo Williams only played 36 games, Varejao 31, Jamison 56 and Baron Davis a whopping 15. The Bulls were healthy and added Toni Kukoc and Steve Kerr to the roster.
Facts.. Plus when L36ron left Miami fanboys tell you Heat missed the playoffs but don't tell you Bosh and Wade BOTH missed over 40 games each! I remember they were a pre-season projected 3rd seed and ppl were hoping for a Wade vs Bron playoff matchup.
runnin3216 thank you Jordan was never the under dog the only competition he had was the super Sonics & the jazz every other teams superstars was washed up or on they last legs
To say that the Cavs had no business being in the Finals in 2007 is just bad history. Here are the facts: 2007 - Lebron has a top 5 Cavs defense that held down Duncan to 45% in Finals after 55% in regular season Lebron beat bum 41-41 Wiz with no Arenas/Butler - injuries LeBron beat bum 41-41 Nets with post-injuries Vince Carter LeBron beat washed up Pistons who lost their best defensive player (4x DPOY Ben Wallace). Then LeBron got exposed by the only real team he played, the 2007 Spurs - He averaged 22 points, 36% shooting, 6 turnovers a game, missed game-tying shot in Game 3, and 2/6 FT in Game 4 as the Spurs only won by 1 point. The surprising thing is those 4 games were decided by only single digits despite LeBron's poor play. So, yes it would ABSOLUTELY make a difference if you switch Lebron and Jordan on that team. So, LeBron wasn't really carrying 2003-2010 Cleveland when he led them in the playoffs. He just feasted on the weakest playoff teams while playing in Cleveland. When he played good playoff teams, he couldn't carry Cleveland anywhere
Three questions....why does everyone forget what happened to the Bulls the second season that MJ was in baseball? MJ had to comeback for those 18 games for the Bulls to even make the Playoffs...yes Bron created a super team and lost to Dallas but why does everyone forget that he also had to add the greatest shooter of all time in Ray Allen to the Heat before he could win...why does no one recognize that the way Lebron plays ball dominant ball is the same way that MJ played before the Bulls started winning (look at his 80s stats)?...understanding that Bron's game is similar to MJ's prechampionship level, how is this even a conversation? Ok, that is four questions...
Young people: y’all don’t give our generation any credit. Also young people: our era way better at basketball than y’all era no question. Just look at RU-vid.
Thank you Brussard!! THANK YOU!!! You said it as perfectly as I ever could "LeBron dominated the east, it was his...That's what Jordan did to the whole league" I'm a LeBron super fan, but Jordan is the greatest, no question, and it really isn't that close.
Let’s not forget that Scottie had the back injury that entire game, was at the tail end of his career and the second 3 peat, played almost every minute of every finals game and Malone was killing the Bulls all series. To have the presence of mind to do that in that moment shows how great of a player he was. Plus to make sure he went to the basket to get the 2 for 1 opportunity to give them an opportunity to get the ball back shows the basketball savvy that Lebrun just doesn’t possess in clutch moments. And did it on the road!
