It included but is not limited to, no radio, no HVAC, no power windows, no shift interlock, ABS, MIL, and Trac Lights on, no wipers and the list goes on. Lets see if we can't figure this one out.

Man I can't believed that it worked. I did everything as you did in the video and found 4 broken wires on the frame. It also fixed 2 other problems I was having with my vehicle. I originally took it to the shop for the first issue two issue's i was having and payed $128 dollars to diagnose it, they wanted $450 to fix, I didn't have that much so I took it home and was driving and all my dash lights came on and I couldn't get it in gear. got it back to another electrical shop and they told me it would cost me close to $700 to fix. I thank God I found your video and followed it to the T. had run get a test light and connector's which cost me like $15.00. I just finished and everything is working great. $15 dollar fix and about 2hrs of my time. Thanks so much your awesome.

That's honestly how your mechanics should work. I wish more would. I'm working on the same issue that everyone turned down and can't figure it out this video helped tons. I touched the body panels with a oms meter and was drawing current witch is bad ground that's why I'm still watching this guy I am the same mechanic and we won't stop till you find the real problem all these people in town are throwing batteries and alternators and clean terminal since the power issue it's the power issue with the power issue no one has once brought up ground

This is THE BEST video I've seen on diagnosing this problem on Chrysler products. Your videos are HIGHLY valuable to all of us DIYers trying to avoid the 'Remove and Replace' repair shops that are charging major $$$ for what we could be doing ourselves.

Eric "O" I must say that you are the "POWER - GROUND MASTER." Your techniques at adding POWER and GROUND to circuits to make them work are powerful teaching tools for young techs. You are the BEST man! You allow no room for guessing and you believe in returning all circuits back to OEM standards. That makes you great - thanks!

Hey Mr O, as a Mechanic here in Aussie land who's done his time back of the basic electrical system, It was easy to fault find electrical problems, but if there was a so called "major" electrical problem, then the Auto Electrician was called in to find and fix the problem, the problem with getting these guys in was that they would never tell you what the actual problem was if it wasn't a component swap out like the alternator or starter, because if they told the mechanic what the problem was, then if it happened again, the mechanic knew just what to do, so the Auto Elec would be doing himself out of potential income. So watching you fault find this electrical ground problem was very pleasing and is a sign of an excellent Mechanic/Technician as you are, especially repairing those rusty vehicles there in the rust belt, something we never see here in Australia.

You sir, have saved the day with this video. I have a 2008 Pacifica in my shop and had this potential nightmare figured out in the time it took me to watch you point the way to the problem. Well done man....well done! I repaired it easily despite the location of the 2 ground posts and my customer is very happy as he was expecting an electrical/expensive diagnosis and repair. I have subscribed and am impressed with your work. Thank you very much my friend.

My Chrysler Town and Country sometimes doesn't start, but only after it has been driven around a bunch of places in one day, so shut off and restarted. Just, key turns, starts, then shuts off. What could be the problem? Mechanics said they can't diagnose, but they don't drive it anywhere either, just one start and aren't trying. . . It's been there 2 and 1/2 months. Please help

Very good video Eric. My wife called me this afternoon to tell me our 2010 Patriot wouldn't start & did I want her to stop at discount battery & get a new battery. I told her NO, bring it back home if the jump works. She brought it home & the first thing I noticed was the ''Square'' Light that is supposed to go around the ''P'' - ''Park'' Position, when you turn the key was out. I put the Jeep in Neutral & it started right up. So I shut it back off, put the shifter back into Park & slapped the Shifter. Then turned the Key & the ''Square Shifter Position Light'' was back on. So it's something with the wiring or the linkage below the Shift Lever. Once the rain lets up, I'll fix it.... It's probably another bad grounding wire or lug..... Thanks for posting the video Eric, (I did watch it in it's entirety).....

Great approach and professional repair. Here's why. Test..not guess. Initial thoughts were not correct but didn't gamble on a high dollar parts change out. Testing of circuits didn't involve stabbing holes in harnesses. Repair at frame stud was soldered not crimp and hope (like factory). Verified repairs. Nice job SMA

If the owner watches, he might see how the guy didn’t protect the fender with a cover as most shops do and has tools banging against it and potentially belt buckles scratching the paint, not to mention attempting to sit on the headlight. Also, prying the headlight at first with a screwdriver leveraging directly against the vehicles paint before switching to a nylon tool. Maybe it’s just me. I learned a certain sort of “etiquette” when repairing another persons vehicle. Good job diagnosing and fixing but those small things make me cringe. Some customers saying “I didn’t have these dents or scratches when I brought it in” might just not always be playing a fake blame game if you don’t follow a certain etiquette.

Well, this video has saved me. I have a 2004 Pacifica that I took to a Chrysler dealer in Monticello IN last week Jan 2020 to run diagnostics for a check engine light. They gave me back the car with all hell broken loose! Every warning light on the dashboard was on and I could not operate wipers, windows, AC etc. They basically ruined the car and had the audacity to tell me that they left it running and I should be able to drive home (30 min away). I insisted that I did not gave them the car in this condition and after bringing the big boss they said that the they would try to tighten the grounds which they did. The warning lights came off only to reappear about 2 mi away from home. I watched the video, found my C5, #14 ground wire to be defective just as taught in the video and jumped it to the negative pole of the battery and everything runs fine!. Cost: My time watching the video. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

This same problem has been plaguing me this week. At first it was intermittent and I still managed to get around. Today everything died - head and brake lights, radio, heater controls, windows, horn, couldn't come out of park and my dash was lit up like a Christmas tree with so many warning lights. I found your video and as soon as it was over, went outside and sure enough - all five wires were broken off from the eyelet. It's a tight spot, but managed to strip back the wires and crimp on two new eyes. Turned on the ignition and my car was cured! I dread electrical problems because you can spend days tracing wires and testing components, but you already did the hard work for me and made this an easy and inexpensive repair. I am so impressed with your knowledge and troubleshooting skill. Thank you Eric - you have a new fan.

I just had this issues with my 04 Pacifica. Was about to bring it to the shop until I found your video. Thanks for doing this and it fixed all of the issues I was having. Only thing I did differently was pulled the battery and the battery tray instead of the headlight. It just gave me a little room from the top. Keep up the great work and the videos. These are awesome!

You are a very talented man! I came across this video while looking for a way to jimmy rig the windshield wipers because my car has the same exact problem. I wasn’t expecting to be able to fix the whole thing but now everything is running perfectly. You are an awesome teacher!

Another fantastic troubleshooting job right there! Instead of shooting a parts gun at it and wasting hundreds of dollars and man hours, you methodically troubleshoot and it ends up being a $.50 fix (plus labor of course!) Great job dude! Troubleshooting is a skill that should be taught in school from kindergarten on up!

Great Video and great help bud.....seriously wow!!! I was in my Nieces Pacifica today trying to find a "no start" problem and found these three ground posts you traced down were GREEN and CRUMBLING also....tight spot to fix but will do. Thanks. My NO START issue has to be something similar. THANKS!!!! Semper Fi!!

Awesome diagnosis, It shows how easy it is to fall into the trap of firing the parts cannon, being thorough in your diagnosis pays off, Well Done.

Well done Eric, great thought process. For sure the next Dodge comes in your going for the ground stud and it will be the module . Good advice on verifying the fault thru testing. Great vid 👍

Nice diagnostics Eric on finding the corroded ground. And since all the circuits not working would have a common fault, picking one circuit to troubleshoot is the method I would choose also.

Excellent diagnosis and fix!! This is the type of work I love doing, sure it can get difficult and frustrating, but I would rather do that than all the bull and pull work. Just about anybody can do that type of work but only a small percentage can or will take the time to learn and figure out electrical and drive-ability. Most problems can be figured out with a little common sense and time and not with the parts shotgun approach. That's why I love watching your channel. You don't just throw parts at problems and hope it fixes it, you actually test and figure out what the problem is. In my book your the best auto repair channel on RU-vid. ( And no I'm not brown nosing, that is the honest truth) Lol. By the way, its nice to be able to hear you in this video! Lol

Jonathan Milbury OK "Mr. Brown noser" Hahah . I agree I do enjoy doing this stuff to because it gives a little break from the everyday brakes and bearings :)

You are a brilliant teacher. Additionally,I always find it fascinating that something that took so long to grow (green Crusties) can cause an instant issue, as opposed to an initially- intermittent problem.

That was a fantastic post! I forwarded it to a tech currently working on my 2018 Pacifica Limited, that is having some crazy faults occur as well. Particularly, it's been losing the electronic steering assist. I suspect a bad ground, but locating it may be time consuming. Your video shows a clear approach to troublshooting and the tech assigned to my vehicle has a high level of integrity, just like you. Even if it turns out to be something totally different, it was a very well done video and enlightening to watch. Thank you!

I really enjoy your videos and most certainly your knowledge. Obviously you care about what you do... don't ever change, the public needs more mechanics like you. They may not be happy about the cost of diagnosis but a quality repair from a quality shop is getting hard to find Paul
