Kyle might be a jerk at times. But, deep down, he is a good man. He acted in a manner any manager or boss would in a workplace environment. At least he and Jonathan are making some positive progress in making sure that Jonathan can trust him.
2:11, While the “special treatment” because Jonathan is Superman’s son thing was the more prominent part of this conflict, it’s interesting to highlight how Jonathan also made the mistake of not going to Kyle, his boss, first to discuss the issue, which would be the adult thing to do. It’s a believable mistake for someone so young and inexperienced with having handle disputes without his parent’s supervision and allows Kyle to demonstrate a pretty decent lesson in handling disputes in a work setting. It’s even more interesting that Jonathan is becoming more mature in his experiences as a relatively normal person, while Jordan’s growing powers, his mother’s health issues and his increasingly negative experiences with Sarah have made him progressively more immature, even if he does begin to reform towards the end.
@@mtombomagadla8399, Which is to say Clark also needs to get used to allowing his kid to handle things like an adult. It’s a learning curve for everyone involved really, even if they all meant well, but at least Jonathan and Kyle have made some kind of progress.
This is surprisingly fairly accurate. Everything is about handling it in house with FD. I remember crews would argue on the engine, and we would keep driving the district until that shit was settled before we got back to the station.
In a sense I respect what Jonathan wants, no need to make your name off your parents, cause at the end of the day, how you die will be a reflection of your own choices
@@reynardbell1133 If you really look at it, Jonathan is both like his mom and dad, as well as Jordan is. Do you think Jordan might become Superboy-Prime?
As long as it was the same Superman everyone knows and most love (all the Evil Supermen definitely not included), it would be a honor, even if it was a small favor.
This is one of Kyle’s best moments here. He may be a jerk at times, but it was nice to see him teaching Jonathan a lesson about solving problems in a work space. As the FD chief, Kyle has to make sure that if ever there is an issue, his brother and sister firefighters can go to him. This scene is where fiction meets the real world.
John didn't even tell his dad to talk to Kyle. Clark heard John venting his frustrations to Jordan, and he took it upon himself to tell Kyle. I understand the overall point, but the dude was just venting. That's all. 😐 He never asked anyone to step in and fix his problems.
Lord if I was the non powered Kryptonian I would of lost my fucking mind and went out to look for superpowers fuck car insurance, debt, gas, mechanic fees lol
Why should his kids benefit from it? Do you believe a police officer's kids should also receive special treatment? Everyone who is a productive member of society saves the world a little bit in their own way. Clark knows this. He understands with his abilities, stopping a rocket or saving the world is equivalent to the medic who without abilities saves lives. He wouldn't be superman if he allowed his kids to benefit, Also he has seen how that turns out, He watched Lex Luthor benefit from Lionel Luthors achievements and wealth and how this put Lex into a shadow that he fought his whole life to get out from under and it eventually sent him down a dark path.
