This man is a great man. Hope he continues to make videos. He one of the people made it happen with his videos!!. I don't know how to express it. Any better
I’ve used the Lucas and power Services cleaner products. I never actually knew they worked until My friends Pete With Detroit would blow Fire out exhaust and lope like crazy on start up and would finally idle once it warmed up. I recommended Lucas Cleaner/ and Power services products to him and he asked how much should he put in his tank. I said try whole Gallon and then half gallons for a week and see it it works. About a week later We fired our trucks up in the morning and it purred like a kitten. Smooth as Can be. Total believer in it after that. Great example of a product that works in this video.
Bud you just put a big smile on my face!!! I just got an old w900 with a 3406b and the pump and injectors are a bit dirty, been sittin for a few years in some guys backyard. Keep up the good work! I'm trying that this weekend
Watched this video several months back & kept it in mind as 'any' fix is a good fix if it works (and doesn't burn the barn down...) . My old International 125C (track loader) has been sputtering after some apparently bad fuel so I swapped out the (nearly new) old filters and filled them both up with Lucas Injector Cleaner (run whatcha brung). Ran it for a while and it seems smooth as silk but letting it heat soak now before restarting. Just wanted to say 'thanks' as I would have been too paranoid about putting 'pure' additive into the filter if I hadn't watch you waking up your truck's motor. Hey - I'm no diesel expert but I get plenty of people telling me to add transmission fluid to my diesel - what's up with that? Thanks again!
What product did you use to help clean them up?. Trying to fine a descent additive that REALLY WORKS! Greatly appreciate any advise you can contribute to keeping my Freightliner Sprinter Van in top running condition. Thx again!
i really enjoyed your video. i'm pretty simple minded and know how you feel when you can get big time results with little money!! I have a pre-emission C-15 with what i call a little miss. the mechanics i've took it to say the injectors done good on a "cutout" test and "pressure" test. do you think it would be safe to fill both primary and secondary filters with seafoam or power service to see if it helps?
My truck sounds just like that after turbo wen out and I put a use one it started making that sound and blowing a lot of white smoke mechanic said the engine wen out and need to be replaced but the truck starts it’s weird I feel like it’s the injectors
Hey brother I am currently going through this process, I removed both tanks sending them off to get cleaned, t660 sat for years and we ran it with bad diesel, won’t startup now so I’m removing all supply hoses maybe return also.. worried the fuel pump clogged, so im going to run a setup like yours tomorrow to get some clean fuel through it, so my question is, how did you prime the fuel pressure since it doesn’t have a manual type pump? Thanks
Thank you. Very interesting video. You mentioned " Diesel Purge " Is this the Liqui Molli product? If so what is your experience with it? And which one do you recommend? Thanks
Diesel Purge is great stuff. Use it by it's self. Pull your filters and dump out the diesel and refill them with the Diesel Purge. I made a 1/2 gallon tank and and had the return line go to it. My tank was a clear food container. The supply also came from my home made tank.
So you've super dosed with the cleaner. I'm looking to do a land Rover Discovery 3 but can't be arsed removing fuel lines etc. 2 new injectors fitted is $3 grand I'm told. I'm thinking to simply run the fuel low in the tank to increase the concentration. Any thoughts?
doesn't sound like a bad idea.I would run it low and add cleaner and run it low again and then add more cleaner if needed so you can get the concentration up.
Also curious about the 7.3 I've been messing with my fuel system today and here trying to figure out a good system to clean the injectors while I'm at it
So you used two gallons of fuel and the cleaner correct ? And just let it run , how long do you recommend to let it run ? And I will also turn mine off and allow it to soak over night .
Should’ve used the atf, & just threw 2-3gallons in the tank or just filled up the bucket w atf. Atf IMO works better than most of the fuel cleaners out there just because it’s a rly good detergent. I had a 7.3 PSD that like u was running kinda rough. Threw in a gallon of atf in the tank, then a week later it was a noticeable difference in power gain. Still had one weak injector, but I was able to drive the truck for another 6 months before the injectors puked their guts, & finally bought a single new injector to replace the cylinder I knew was bad after doin a check by removing the plug wire on each cylinder. I determined it was cyl 4 which seemed odd, cuz it’s usually 1, 2, 7, & 8 that usually go first. Bought an injector that would work for that year of truck, put it in, & that’s where the issues started. It just wouldn’t start at all, so I threw some blue devil shit in the coolant for the head gasket which helped, but I think I had a seal that wasn’t sealing right. After I had done the treatment I took it for a drive, & it had its power back. Another week or two if driving I could tell it was getting harder, & harder to start. Like the other injectors were goin out. So abt 6 months prior I had done a little experiment w Veg oil, & mixed a filtered batch 50/50. It worked ok, but then it sat for a week. Also goin on at the same time 6 months after that experiment when I started having issues w injectors I was looking for another truck cuz I was 17, & couldn’t afford to fix it. The truck needed tie rods, wheel bearings, all new power steering system, & now a whole host of engine issues. Now to fix all of that would cost just in parts about 1-2K for injectors, 500 for power steering components, $100 for wheel bearing stuff, & probably ball joints since it’s over 300k. I say over 400k cuz the truck had the factory CPS, never touched, stock IPR, & stock HPOP. Over 400-500k 7.3s need the HPOP changed, & IPR.
What you should do is sell that junk for what you can get and get a real job that pays the bills. If you can’t afford to fix the tool that makes your living, you aren’t making a living!
Wow you're out of pocket for that! Real talk that's a lame comment I bet if you lived a day in my shoes you couldn't say that and would understand how you're out of pocket for saying some stupid shit like that. The struggle is REAL BRO!!!!!!! Life is a struggle and you are far from perfect bro so think of the less fortunate the ones who make an honest living next time you say something out of pocket boy and stop being so selfish
This was the dumbest comment of the year why would he send it to the shop for it to sit for two weeks or more and loose ton of work on top of paying for mechanics when he clearly used his head and fixed it for less then $100 and now he’s back to making money to me that’s a genius 💯💯💯💯 And he shared the video with us to save money and get back to work
