October 20, 2023: The climate crisis has been steadily worsening in recent years, with an onslaught of heatwaves, rising air pollution, and increased flooding. Events like these have can have a massive impact on health systems. In order to address the twin crises in climate and public health, there must be more consideration of the intersection of these two fields.
On October 20th, the Pandemic Center will bring together two experts to discuss the impacts of climate change on public health and health systems.
This event will be hosted by Jennifer Nuzzo, DrPH, Professor of Epidemiology and Director of the Pandemic Center. The panel will include:
Rachel Baker, PhD, John and Elizabeth Irving Family Assistant Professor of Climate Health, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Environment and Society
Allan Just, PhD, Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Environment and Society.
This webinar is part of the Pandemics & Society series, which focuses on current pandemic threats and response systems as well as how to build preparedness for the future.
