Craig ... you're a highly intelligent motivated person, not afraid of any challenge. Keep up the great work as your vids are very inspirational. Thank you!
I also did the Ashtray->Cup holder swap. And like you I have a manual. Which means its virtually impossible to use the forward cup holder. (Gear shift hits the any large drink cups in the forward holder.) I use mine for a change holder, and any passengers just have to hold their drink. [12:21] If I were to do it again, I move/mount the cup holders back 3" to where the mirror switch is, and move the mirror switch forward between the gear shift and the cupholder.
Great video on pulling dash and center console pieces. Would have repainted the light titanium myself to keep that stock look, but Mustangs are all about making it your own, so own it brother! 👊🏻
You should buy a pistol grip spray can top. I don't know the right name for it but you get it in the paint department. Clip on the can, shake and pull the trigger. It makes using a spray so easy.
This really makes me miss my ‘86 gt. The dash removal reminds me of the nightmare I had when doing mine. Had to get rid of the car though because I twisted the frame after building a 347 stroker and not reinforcing the frame. Now it’s so hard in south Jersey to find any and I mean ANY fox body for under 5 grand
Knocking it out piece at a time. I think it will look super cool when you're done. Wait a minute, I'm writing about Craig. When he is done he will find something else to improve or modify. LOL! Go Craig, it's looking good.
Loving you got a fox body, but would love to see you get the truck under the knife and put it on the other frame, that would be awesome. Or did you give up on that frame swap?
Ya gotta check out a great metal fabricator in Nova Scotia, this guy is a riot funny. He also has many many cool and weird builds. One car he has is completely restored 62’ Galaxie in perfect shape. Bad Chad is his title
It can be done without removing the dash completely, still a pain but possible. My 85 has an access panel behind the glove box, can be done in 15 mins if your motivated.
I'm not positive but I believe that because the first Mustang was a half-year model that late '89 and early '90 cars were anniversary cars. My '90 5.0 LX vert had the anniversary badge and gold trim pieces.
Only two tone factory interior in a mustang I've seen that I really like how it looked I've seen 3 the sn95 style 94-98 Ford mustang my best friend same one that owned the 235, miles Calypso green metallic 93 mustang had a 113, miles 95 Ford mustang LX but the deluxe interior package with no exterior stripes at all..it's interior was black and red with black and red door panel and black console with red headliner and seats looked sweet and the other 2:I've seen I found on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace one is a 96 4.6 gt car and the other one is a 98 3.8 5speed 3.55 rear gear LX but has the exterior bottom side stripe that says mustang and has the ford mustang dash emblem on the stripes.. neither were exactly like my best friends interior was..
California is called the golden state because it's so hot and dry everything is dead. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, till you get there and discover it's artificial turf!
SHARE THE HELL OUT OF CRAIG'S VIDEOS!!!! LET'S ALL HELP HIM GET TO 100K SUBS BY LABOR DAY!!!!! I really like that cup holder/ashtray delete, if I ever do a fox body, that will be very high on my list of things to do. Did your car originally have an airbag in the original steering wheel?? If it did, you might want to check with your insurance agent. In the state I live in, if ANY of the airbags have been removed, they will not cover personal injuries that "could have been prevented" with the use of an airbag.
That Duplicolor interior paint is too shiny and it chips very easy .. if you want the correct interior shin I recommend you to use VHT roll-bar and chassis paint ( satin ) , yes I know is not for interior use but it leaves a perfect interior tone and shin .. Perfect OEM shin and most importantly it does not chip and is not easy to scratch .. Repainted!!!!
How do you get away with these vehicles in California isn’t like all the engine modes and exhaust super illegal I am probably wrong but ik they are super serious about stuff like that in Cali
Yes, Ca sucks for car enthusiasts. I have a 93 Fox, every time I get it smogged it's a pain. You can also get tickets for modified exhaust, you have to return it back to stock, and then get it inspected by a state ref. I really don't know how people get away with all these mods in this state, unless there getting smogged illegally.
