01:38 The Lone Wanderer: "Here... *Put on this slave collar -- ugh... I mean, it's 'nice necklace 📿'* here: And *I think it'll looking good* on you...😉👍" (At least, that *he's now looks exactly like Preston foggin' Garvey* 🤠 right now...😆😁)
0:01 A Talon Company 🦅 merc: "Well then, from now on... If *it isn't the little saint* ✝️ here, from the Vault 101: We've been *looking-up for you, lonely wanderer... Sounds like someone's put quite a price on your head* lately...💰😏"
0:10 A Talon Company merc: "What's WRONG...😕? You thinking that *you're can walking around the Wasteland, doing those things that you do* and *there isn't going to be someone who takes a notice 'bout it* right...?!"
0:19 A Talon Company merc: "Such is a shame...☹️ As *I heard that you could have been something that's useful* yet... Ahh, *well: Your little ride's OVER* now, Vault Dweller. Then, *it's time to DIE* ...💀" (Sheesh, looks like *this one Talon Company Merc's gonna pulling out a Frank Horrigan* 💀 right on the Lone Wanderer's face here ya, Atomic Media...)
Rad king acrually made a video on this - there’s some interesting theories that they might be enclave funded but in secret, so they don’t even know it and if they come into contact with enclave forces they’ll shoot each other on sight: Talon co. Operate like a band of raiders and the enclave want a pure wasteland so go figure
Fallout 3 was in fact almost universally praised. It's not one of my favourites from the series, but was nonetheless the game that brought Fallout into the mainstream and won tens of millions of new fans. Old-school Fallout players like me might have bemoaned the game relinquishing its somewhat niche status, but you know what? Fallout might not have had a future but for Todd & Co. It just works. New Vegas is superior in most respects, but if I think back to 2008, I had a hell of a good time with 3. Bethesda got a lot right, and what they didn't get right was addressed in later games, not to mention mods. Certainly voice acting is one area where there's no contest between 3 and New Vegas, as this clip demonstrates...
@@adamg6643 I would counter that asbestos and eugenics were universally praised in their day too, it's not really an indicator of anything. F3 was a fun time but at the end of the day that's all it was. It was ass as a Fallout game to those of us that waited over ten years and it was the point at which not only the Fallout franchise but Bethesda games in general started getting a whole lot dumber and glitchier in favor of cosmetic appeal. It somehow managed to be way better than the sum of its parts but it was a big vapid wasteland theme park with no central soul. You could tell right out of the gate Bethesda didn't believe in keeping everyone on the same page. It was greater than the sum of its parts, but it was waaaay overpraised, and the argument that it "probably saved/preserves the franchise" was always way off base because the fans that cared about Fallout before 3 released would generally have been a lot happier with it staying with more niche RPG dev studios that could treat it as a game designed for readers and table top RPers, which had kinda been its whole deal for as long as it existed anyway.
