The detective is surprisingly naive. When he talks about how the offender "couldn't fact what he had done" etc etc - nonsense! He's a psychopath. He would never share those experiences with anyone. They are HIS.

Boden was initially believed to be involved in the death of Norma Vaillancourt, a 21-year-old student killed on 23 July 1968, but denied involvement. In 1994, Raymond Sauve was convicted of Vaillancourt's death and sentenced to ten years in prison.

One has to wonder, if say, Ted Bundy or Jeff Dahmer were given a day pass to Canada, how would they react? There is absolutely no reason to give a serial killer a day pass, ever, for any reason.

This case was the inspiration for the film "Black Christmas" (1974). Frightening to know that it has some basis in truth! Boden was a monster!

We know now, you can't match bite marks, but I'm not going to lose sleep over this case. They always assume if the door is intact, she knew the attacker and let him in. All it takes is answering the door to a total stranger and he pushes in, closing the door behind him.

Very well done, I was just telling my husband this is something to watch because we are Canadian and we lived in many provinces, we know many of these terrible tragic stories, we send our prayers and thoughs who lost their loved ones

It's such a dilemma keeping things like a serial killer in public since letting people know would most likely keep them safe but might jeopardize their investigation.

The detective telling the story sounds like one of those tough, hard bitten cops from the movies. 'Awwr right, put ya hands up punk. We got ya surrounded'........ !

I used to live in Calgary, so when they said she lived in an apt. Close to downtown, my mind brought up a few apartment buildings I could think of. Then they said "O'Neil Towers" .... I was like ... Oh shit ! That's where I lived ! But it was some 15 years after this murder. Freaky ! ✌️🇨🇦

I'm sure that he doesn't feel happy about it and if he were given his 'druthers' I'm sure that he'd be out and about putting new headlines in Canadian newspapers about the most recent exploits of his dark side known as "Strangler Bill" !!

Police found her body in her room. She was raped and strangled. Later 20 year old Shirly Audette was next and she was scared.Police found her body on the ground strangled and murdered with bite marks on her body just like the bite marks on Norma’s body. In 1969, 20 year old Maryall is met by a man named Bill and the following day she was found dead in her room and she too had been raped and strangled and she too had bite marks and police had named the killer a vampire killer. In 1970 Jean Whey reported to the owner of a man harnessing her and later her boyfriend found her strangled, raped and murdered in her apartment with bite marks on her breasts and neck. A 24 year old travelling salesman named Wayne Boden came to police attention after investigating the crimes.
