A kidnapper would have to butcher me, shoot me or whatever right there in a public parking lot before I would comply and get in the car. Never get in the car and if you do, grab the wheel in traffic, cause an accident. You're more likely to survive a wreck than letting them take you to a 2nd place. Or at least I tell myself I would react this way.

Screw his childhood. My dad was a excellent provider. But he was verbally and physically abusive. I dont walk around killing people!
@sfletch3042
@sfletch3042 5 лет назад
You're completely missing the point of sharing info about the background and upbringing of a killer. It is not a justification. Lol. It is an explanation. Obviously not everyone who experiences childhood trauma and abuse turn out to be a murderer. but almost everyone who does turn out to be a murderer did experience childhood trauma and abuse. This is not a coincidence. There is a causational relationship between the two. In direct response to your comment, you may have not grown up to be a criminal however undoubtedly the abuse you suffered at the hands of your father profoundly affected you in significant ways in life. If you say that it didn't you're not being honest. your comments assumes that every single person is exactly the same in response to different situations that are similar in exactly the same way. And that's just silly. of course people do not respond the exact same way as others even to the same situations. They're siblings who come out of the same household who experienced the exact same thing one turns out great the other turns out to be a criminal. has everything to do with what's already inside the person in addition to what they experienced in life. It's both nature and nurture which determine the outcome of a person. And it boils down to a personal choice. But everything that happens to us in our lives lead us to the choices that we make and influence why we make our choices. to ignore the things that psychology teaches us about criminal behavior would be foolish. The more we understand it and study it the more we learn about it, the better we can deal with the inevitable crime that takes place and even work toward preventing a measure of it.

@@sfletch3042 I could not agree with you more. My father "John Sylvester Carpenter" would not hurt a flea. All he did was "conspired to import marijuana internationally" ... see Unted States v. Carpenter, 611 F. Supp. 768 (N.D. Ga., 1985) the Honorable Horace T. Ward was the Judge and he ruled in "our" favor, only after rendering our FAMILY virtually but not totally bankrupt, thanks to various CON GAMES. My father John Sylvester Carpenter, a/k/a John S. Carpenter, graduate of a non-accredited law school known as John Marshall Law School which was a "night law school" and my dad graduated from Mercer University in Atlanta and John Marshall on the SAME DAY, probably never been done in the HISTORY OF MANKIND. He was a veteran of the KOREAN WAR and served as a air-to-air refueling specialist which did not involve firing a firearm but was probably more dangerous. Have you ever tried "hanging out of the back of a plane much like a Lockheed C-130", it ain't easy. My father ruined my life, but not totally because I was a co-conspirator to illegally launder $250,000.00 USD in the summer or 1978 (or was it 1977?) while I was on my "summer break" but I still took at least one or two courses, probably at Georgia State University or Mercer University in Atlanta. We worked for an organization known as THE COMPANY and its wholly owned subsidiary THE TECH MOTEL GANG. I would never hurt a flea or a gnat, but I would hurt the feeligs of females, sometimes, but not all the time. I am single and have never married, nor do I have any children as a consequence. My DAD was disbarred from the practice of law by the STATE BAR OF GEORGIA and the SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA. I am still an attorney, sort of, with the State Bar of Georgia and my Bar No. is 11350 and this can be confirmed by calling Ms. Brinda LovLorn (or something like that) who is charge of the memebership department and her office is located in a marble buliding on Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta which is near FIVE POINTS and the FIVE POINTS MARTA STATION. The building is very expensive and it was formerly the Atlanta Branch of the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK (note: of the United States . you may have seen the office referenced on a one dollar bill haveing George Washington's picture on it and a secret Masonic Pyramid All Seeing Eye on the back). 'Little Stanley" still has his inactive law license "sort of" but he is behind on his bar dues. Stanley Roland Carpenter is also known as "Little Stanley". "Little Stanley" is bipolar manic depressive with ocassional rare psychosis episodes that are currently successfully treated with various medications, thanks to AVITA COMMUNITY PARTNERS or the AVITA COMMUNITY CENTER which is located in Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia. My therapist is the soon to be world famous "Jeremy Merritt". He will become "famous" for being the one who successfully treated "Little Stanley". However, "Little Stanley" will proabably die a LONELY HEARTED BACHELOR. You may look up the US v. Carpenter case for FREE on JUSTIA, very easily, if you doubt me, that is. Perhaps you want to be my FACEBOOK friend, but that is entirely up to you and JESUS CHRIST, my saviour. I am sorry you had an unhappy childhood. Please join the crowd.

@Nicole Clements well yes. Mitigators are taken into consideration in trial. How does that play in to my comment? He is saying that background shouldn't make a difference but it does! The fact that mitigating factors do have a place in jury trials proves that it matters. He is saying it should not. Perhaps you're also missing my point. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding you and him...
@Fluffy-Fluffy
@Fluffy-Fluffy 4 года назад
@Nicole Clements But isn't it true that people may think differently because they were molested? You don't think that affects somebody yet in different ways? Where one is affected to grow up as a strong person with a positive outlook on life that they also may not have had if their trauma never happened, another will react the exact opposite and take a much darker path. Both could be the result of what they went through. To say that it's an exvuse that someone thinks differently because of their childhood and trauma is also denying the impact of it and why it's so important to prevent child abuse. Not just the immediate obvious reasons, the pain and trauma, but also the later effects in life. People don't just get over it to simply become a good person because they can simply choose to. I am not excusing they do it. I'm just, saying I understand how and why they do it with regards to not being able to control theur fsntssies and thoughts. Not the actual crime.. Does that mean I'm dangerous? Or just recognizing that I may think differently in a way too and therefore understand it? I don't know. I just do and you may think of me what you want. I'm simply not a victim who celebrated life after surviving child and later on two adult molestations in 9 years if which one was very violent. Yay I survived. Being stuck at home because going out feels too unsafe. Especially when one happened when it was still light outside. Sorry I think different becsuse of this all. It's a simple fact

Thank you for your words of accolades. My dad's abuse toward me didn't bother me too much. It was his physical and verbal abuse to my youngest sister of six that bothered me so much. Of course I was just a little boy. So physically, I could not stop that man name dad from beating my sister. I can vividly remember those dark days as if it wad yesterday. Over the years, I have tried so hard to forget that monster, but sadly I am unable to do that. There had been so much pain and suffering just overcome that sorrow and painful memories. My own kids are telling me that I must forgive their grandpa. But it is only because I have given my kids unconditional love and attention. With all fairness, my kids do not understand how it feels to live in a house of horror. Maybe the moment that I am going to say my farewell to this planet, I have enough strength to forgive my old man. Peace with you. And peace with allm

It does not mean forgetting, or not talking about it when you need to do so either. It means not letting it tear into YOU anymore. It means not letting him or the memories of what he did rule your life and make you suffer any more. It means relegating him to unimportant and moving on and taking care of your kids without HIM.

All she had to say was, "I'm just waiting on verification of funds to cash to the check'', or any other number of excuses. What was she thinking?! Also, how much money could you actually get for pawning ''The Club''? lol

AlienPrincess ATX, by focusing on the perceived shortcomings of others it allows @George Rosewell to put emotional insulation between his conscious mind and subconscious and attempt to displace the gnawing undercurrent of his own many fears, faults and failures onto someone else, which apparently are many. Well, well, well....the officer heading the investigation, Steve Tiffee, just happens to look uncannily like a good friend of mine from Scotland in the UK. I took a screenshot of him to send to my friend to tell him. This also prompted me into delving further information about him and it turns out his police career came to an end and he is himself now a criminal. In fact his whole family was involved in trying to scam money out of locals. I couldn't believe I had stumbled onto a whole new crime just from watching this one, all because he looked like a friend of mine. Recently the Poteau Daily News ran a letter to the editor written by a local business owner accusing a Monroe woman of scamming him out of money. It now seems as though another business owner has attempted to warn the public about this woman and her family. A sign posted on the doors of the Heavener and Hodgen Tote-A-Poke states, “Attention: Scam. Do not give money to Kyle- Steve- or Teri Tiffee. They are out pandering money. ”The notice is signed by Mick LaFevers who owns the Tote-A-Poke stores. Attempts to reach La Feversto ask what prompted the signs were unsuccessful. Since the sign was placed at the stores the PDN has been bombarded with calls from people claiming that they have fallen victim to the three people named on the sign. The Poteau Daily News ran a story in February 2010 regarding former Poteau Police Detective Steve Tiffee who had been arrested on a felony charge of uttering bogus checks. According to the information given to PDN at that time by Le Flore County Sheriff Bruce Currnutt, there had been reports that Tiffee had been soliciting people around the area to give him money to assist him.“Tiffee has allegedly been going to businesses and homes introducing himself as a retired police officer and has asked for money to help him during separate emergency situations,”Curnutt told PDN in 2010. He went on to say that people had stepped forward, contacting the Sheriff’s Department after they reportedly gave Tiffee money then attempted to stop payment only to find he had allegedly already cashed the checks they had written to him. Tiffee is on probation for that charge. Terri Tiffee and her son Tyler are also on probation stemming from a charge of being in possession of drugs. PDN has received numerous calls from citizens with stories of those similar to what Curnutt spoke about in 2010 regarding all three of the Tiffee’s. The newspaper has learned that several law enforcement agencies around the county have received complaints as well. The question that most people ask is why haven’t charges been filed. PDN spoke with LeFlore County District Attorney Jeff Smith on Wednesday about the matter. He stated that he too has been told stories regarding scams by the Tiffees over the last two years. He said that his office had contacted an outside agency about investigating the matter more than 18 months ago but that request was declined. “We are not an investigating body,” Smith said. According to the DA’s office there are two types of charges that many scammers fall under according to the law. They are operating a con game, and obtaining money by false pretences. The problem with proving either charge is that you have to overcome the fact that in many cases the money that is transferred is a gift. There are no legal or binding contracts. Legally the DA would also have to prove that the reason a person obtained the money was false. In order for the office to prove a case of false pretences they must first know what pretence was used. Which means that citizens are going to have to come forward to their local law enforcement agencies and make an official report. Smith said if local and county law enforcement will submit those reports to his office it would help establish a pattern of behaviour and his office would then be able to attempt to make a case. “We have done at this point all that we know to do,” he said. “We cannot prosecute anyone for any alleged crime if we don’t have information that will allow us to prove without a reasonable doubt that they committed a crime. Smith said the only way his office can obtain that information is for victims to come forward with their statements and for law enforcement to turn those reports over to his office. He said his office has heard stories for the last two years regarding scams of this nature but they have to be able to prove the accusations before charges can be filed. “We want justice for these people,” Smith said. “and we have all heard the stories but we have to have official information in order to do our job. PDN contacted the Le Flore County Sheriff’s Department and the Poteau Police Department regarding the accusations being made and were assured that any reports made would be given to the DA’s office for prosecution. Attempts to contact the Tiffees were unsuccessful. It also transpires that his son, Kyle was killed whilst serving a prison sentence.

S K actually that's fair. It's the justice system that doesn't put fear in murderers and paedophiles that cause crimes to be committed. Which is perhaps there's soooo much crime and homocides in the US. Just imagine if a loved one were killed and perhaps in a viscous manner, would you look kindly upon the killer? Proper justice should be served for the person killed. Why should murderers be given a chance when none was given to the murdered? Btw the way see the comment by Lela Shelela below that he was a sadist who enjoyed hurting people.

Today, ECT therapy ("shock" therapy) is a part of the growing mainstream. To receive 20 shock treatments and return from dysfunctional to functional is more of a norm.
