We fully assemble the ported D16a6 with Bisimoto High RPM springs and install on the block and the car and a target for start up
we also talk a little bit about ecu tuning as this engine's current compression 13:1 is catching alot of attention as it is street driven on pump gas. I talk more about the timing side of things when it comes to ecu tuning as well as talk about "ignition curve" hopefully this helps you guys screen and filter and choose a better tuner for you and your project

This!!!! and like I don’t expect many to know that a motogp team.. has their engine fully dynoed and tuned… But once on the racetrack? Friday = 50 diff tune tweak map , by Saturday quali = 30 diff tune tweak map by Sunday race day it’s 10 diff tune tweak maps and that’s already dynoed and specifically just the engine tune

np man… I used to run the cbr954 injectors before that… as bikes always had stuff ahead of our cars it’s a 12nozzle tip injector 290cc too

Thanks haha tbh the reason was cuz the key ignition part? Is worn out there were times I thought I had “low battery” power cuz it barely cranks Then when we run the line direct to the starter it cranks as if bnew so we figured ok push start button might help avoid keying it

Ah true yeah if it was big I’d put it under the steering column but it was smaller than usual plus not bling color so it was good somehow But man it took us 1-2 months to figure out it was the ign key way lol we were considering rewiring even haha the headaches lol

@@SRDmotorsports We had an old car that had an ignition key problem, not so much the wiring, but sometimes when the car is turning, the key would fall off and go between the floormat and the carpet. 😂

So excited to see the results of this. Makes me excited to mess around with my A6 head. Question, where can I get an aftermarket cam for the A6? I swear nobody makes cams for the non vtec sohcs anymore 😅.

I’m excited too as well! actually most are “regrinds” for the a6 u can hit up webcam in California for it That’s where Bisi has his stuff made and later on he told me to check them out when he is busy

Ideally a a6 core is better for regrind than a b7 cuz the a6 is a shade bigger too

Build A vs Build B -- Both may have the same exact parts, but with a different builder and tuner, results will greatly vary. I would love to see a SOHC dyno shoot out then an endurance race 😉🥩🍺

Actually may not need to be a shoot out cuz u know where we are from , animosity grows on trees haha but it could be like PowerNation style build and just start tune from blank basemap …same engine two tuners Or one tuner = 2 engines like u said identical or same set up and check power

@@SRDmotorsports Nowadays, like you mentioned, some people just download a rom editor then hook up a wideband sensor and they think can automatically charge people for "tuning"

Depends on fuel type your running,you can run your 13's or can run 10's and thats just how it is.

Hello! I have a d16 with 20 camlobes, pm6 pistons, tri y header, 2.5in straight pipe to magnaflow oval. B16 fuel pump and injectors. I am not feeling any top end power and flattening"tope" around 5k rpm. Is there anything i can do to improve top end power?

Hey there bro,one big important question,my d16y6 does not rev soundly past 5k,jammed,frozen,cloggy etc till top end,seizeable feeling on top end zone,tp sensor changed,tp wire fixed volt checked etc,knock sensor changed,carbon cleaning matters cleared,car is a stock long block d16y6/y8 with a short ram intake,1.8 isch inch header and 2.25 downpipe,however the car does not have the o2 sensor or the wiring to it,does not have both wires and sensors,is that a major issue in this case or not,your response would be helpful,thanks.

If it’s a stock ecu it will matter and may cause the issue you mention

@@SRDmotorsports so you mean unplugged o2 sensor and no wiring is not a major thing when it comes to performance but rather it is because of the stock ecu.

No I mean both the stock ecu needs that o2 sensor running so it needs both not just cuz it’s a stock ecu

hey i have a po8 head was wondering if it cam run vtec on my setup with p29/pm7 without the valves getting hit from the piston the head gasket is 0.074in/1.88 mm thick(doubled ) piston sticks out 1.25mm or - 0.049mm the clearance difference is 0.025in please tell me if its possible to run vtec on my setup ......

I’m not sure because the piston sticks out a lot and the pockets of the pm7 isn’t correct to the vtec head it’s for a dohc zc

Only the po8 cam works well with the p08 head so I don’t think the nonvtec one fits and if it does It’s exactly the opposite of the p2j video I made stating why locals should stop converting their p2j to run p08 cams cuz it skews up the timing sequence including the injector timing

no the cam timing on the p2a head isn’t the same as a p08 it won’t run properly if it fits In the end a proper built and ported p2a head engine may run faster than that
