In this video I talk about a weird trend on RU-vid where literally anything that's ever been made gets exposed and scrutinized for hiding "dark secrets", which almost always turn out to be neither dark, nor secrets. It's clickbait at its finest, and the worst offender is a channel called 'The Things'. Yeah, that's really their name.
If you like watchmojo but wish they'd only made videos for 6-year olds and talked to you like they're always telling you to go to bed, then you'll LOVE The Things. Their videos set a new standard for laziness on RU-vid, which is honestly quite the accomplishment. Enjoy.

10:18 When a comment has a heart, the heart gets removed if you edit the comment, as far as I know. I think this happens to pinned comments as well. So her saying "OMG IT WAS PINNED" unpinned the comment. That makes sense, because otherwise you could get your comment pinned, and then change the comment to something completely different like an ad to subscribe to your own channel or propaganda or something

I came down to the comments to see if anyone mentioned this. Pinned comments have the pin removed if you edit them for exactly that reason, otherwise someone could say "I love this video!", get pinned, and then edit it to say something racist or insulting.

Yeah, it's kind of funny how people can unpin or unheart their own comments by editing them. Personally, I find those "thanks for all the likes" edits a bit annoying to be honest. They don't add any substance.

Meanwhile, Good Luck Charlie DID have a dark secret - some creep was OBSESSED with the toddler [Charlie] and would send repeated death threats, mainly through social media. Disney tried not to let it be too well known, because obviously they don't want people thinking that the child stars are in danger, but the LAPD were involved. It was a big deal... The channel really can't do anything right, huh? Give them gossip on a silver platter, and they'll totally ignore it.

Tapirs are under-appreciated They have to ignore it to a certain degree, as far as the public is concerned. This is the kind of thing a production company would want to deal with secretly before it becomes big news. In any case, it was some creep online. Disney could hardly be faulted for that. Though they can be faulted for other things.
