been checking in for many years as a Vinyasa Flow Practitioner in Philadelphia (and Florida for a couple years). Sharon here. I go by Cole sometimes. AND, I can now teach yoga at a beginner level.

I have dealt with a herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, & degenerative disc disease in my lower lumbar for a long time. I've done all sorts of Physical Therapy etc. Recently I've developed an unknown disease in my stomach caused by stress. My employers forced me to take medical leave after 7 months of vomiting everyday/all day. I started this 30 day challenge in February my first day of leave. I have been practicing Yoga, & Yoga Nidra nearly everyday at home since. Due to my good and bad days I haven't followed this program for 30 days straight in a row. I've had to do some of the videos multiple times. Now I'm on Day#25 and can't believe how much my body & mental state have changed. I've been practicing Yoga to build my strength & balance back (Yoga Nidra to return to the Source) for a month over a month now at least 6/7 days a week with our without your videos. I like doing a combination of all the different things I've learned over the years when I free flow. I've practiced the Amrit method of Yoga, Hatha, Bikram, Vinyassa, & Kundalini Yoga, (& Pilates) for over 15 years on and off trying different things. Workshops, classes, you name it. I am writing you this long ass thank you note not only because it has helped me through this tough time to get healthy again but also because - **ONLY until I started this 30 day challenge of videos - I can finally touch my toes!!!! I have never been able to touch my toes. All I can say is - holy shit, I can't believe I can touch my toes now... These videos have helped me so much. Such a wonderful challenge, sure, there a few moves that I may never master, but who cares? The beauty is in the balance and it is so easy to fill in those intermediate moves with a boat, plank, or whatever feels right! That is the beauty of making it your own!

I must have missed this one during the challenge. I was so excited to get the tip of using the blocks in down dog and being able to actually step my foot forward without having to put my knees down. Thanks Tim! Progress, little by little.

Strong. Enjoying your sense of humour Tim. It's relaxed. One challenge to offer from today my friend - your explainations are usually very clear and specific. See if you can keep it movement by movement. Headstand course is my next yoga investment. Thanks

Tim! I have a suggestion. ☼ I don't know whether I speak for anyone else, but I was thinking it would be helpful to have a link in the description to the Warm Up video (Day 22), so it's easier to hop between the Warm Up and the sequence for the day. My morning brain couldn't even remember which day the warm up video was for a second. Great practice today! Those balancing/twisting poses are great patience teachers.. ☼ Namaste.

Well... profound for me. I didn't stand up and walk away from a wheelchair or anything, but I'm definitely feeling way stronger, more open (taller for sure), and in less pain. I'm very happy!

Thanks, Tim! I really enjoyed twisting today. I just really struggled with that Side Crow balance, but thanks to you, I know where I need to focus on in order to get it right.

Now at Day 25 and just finding it awesome. First Yoga I have done. Cant do some arm balances just yet but believe it is possible. I feel so much better going into my day. I jog aswell and have not felt any calf niggles that I used to.

Side crow just too hard straight off. Need to get straight crow sorted first! Also, any tips Tim for doing twists to avoid pain over an inflamed hip bursitis (trocanteric to be specific)? Other than that loving the challenge and the day 22 warm up is great for every day.

thanks again for the clear explanations. Ive been experiencing pain in my left hip. lunges seem to irritate particularly. Ive been told to build up my glutes by my physio. I've noticed when doing modified warrior 3 that they don't want to 'switch on'. They wobble and try to get another muscle to take over! I'm hoping with more regular practice it will improve.

Hi Tim, I'm really enjoying this course, it's been really fantastic for getting my technique right in foundation poses. Just a quick question, I can't straighten my leg as much as yours in Warrior Three or lift my leg straight up in three-legged dog. Is this a leg strength thing or leg flexibility? I've been doing yoga regularly for about a year now but this is one thing that hasn't really sorted itself out yet. Thank you!

Side crow gave me a nice headache after I landed on my head. My daughter told me to do it again because she missed the first fall. The second fall was more graceful.

Great day, I tried the arm balance. I'm not there yet. I'll keep trying though. I did the crow yesterday and I attempted the wacky trippy asana lol (my name for it) but this pose was hard because I have a long body and it felt very difficult to get to the floor and hold myself up without naturally wanting to spread out.

I've been following the 30 days challenge and my back seems to do it well, but the only problem I have is that my legs don't have the flexibility for some back or arm excercises. What can you recommend? excellent channel by the way

I am a beginner and while I can feel the great flexibility I’m getting, I just can’t get that crow. I’m 71 but in pretty good shape, exercise a lot although I have never been very flexible. So there’s something about that balance I can’t figure out. My question is, should I be going back to an earlier day and keep working up to it or should I find a teacher to help me figure out how to get that center of gravity?

Try placing your hands down and slowly leaning in. Place a pillow beneath your head just in case and to encourage yourself to lean more. Don't kick off as it did not work for me.

Twisted poses are still really challenging. The new arm balances are really tricky! When I realized your hip was not touching your back elbow I thought "Well, I'm screwed!!" It went better on the second side. Thanks Tim!

Went well. Side crow was much easier after the preparation moves; plank and twisting knee in to opposite arm to fire up the belly and abs, and the twisted side angle with prayer hands. Thanks....helps the belly / navel to turn into the spine when moving into side crow. Great technical demo :-)
