It kinda reminds me of Wesker almost. I like how grand this is, cuz realistically speaking, Nurse is pretty intimidating and the music does showcase how dangerous she is in some ways.
Every killer besides trapper should have chase music. Maybe sharpen it but don’t change it. Plague and our other friends need their chase music. Piggy man what about meh pig
@@cathiefTTV bruh the pig deserves her own cheese music you sir/ma'am have no feel for pig you look like your not even a saw fan not watching every single saw movie and of course the music goes great for the pig is hello zepp how can you not like it?!
The chase music is really good, however it feels like they went in a different direction than what would have perfectly fitted Nurse. I feel like something more like high strings wailing with metallic clatters and ripping sounds akin to either fabric or skin would have fitted a bit better, rather than grand brass instruments. The music still absolutely slaps though
Highly agree, the music is awesome, but i feel it's TOO awesome for the nurse lol, instead of brass sections i'd use more high pitch strings (like Soothing Hymn from bloodborne ost) to give more of a "suffocation" vibe
Brass instruments are incredibly good for lots of horror, and I think this chase music is amazing. However, it just doesn't seem to fit the nurse. It's still very good though, and I would love to see this implemented in the 10 seconds I'm chased by the nurse before I get destroyed and not rescued due to solo queue.
I agree. While Nurse is scary to face game balance wise, I don't know if the chase portion is a good match for a screeching, gasping killer that appears so frail. I half wonder if they're trying to shadow nerf her ability to track survivors via sound with all that loud brass.
What I haven’t seen anyone ever mention about this track is that the backtrack of the chase is pretty clearly an antique fire alarm. You know, from when the Nurse burnt down the ward…
Reminds me of the Spirit chase with the clanging sounds in the background. Pretty good stuff, hope they continue to make original chase themes for killers still using the default themes.
@@DV-zv4ox Let's just hope she gets a rework or something soon. A rework is the most common excuse or exception for a custom terror radius or menu theme. (A menu theme if none has already been given to that character exclusively)
I like the first layer and am EXTREMELY fond of the second one, the metallic and mysterious sound fits the nurse perfectly. However the third layer doesn't really enhance the first or second layer but instead reminds heavily of ghost face's chase theme, and the 4th one is good but didn't fully embrace the feeling that the first two layers were building up. It sounds way more generic and the brass instruments weren't announced or introduced in the earlier layers at all, sort of appearing out of nowhere. tldr: Loved the first two, 3rd layer is random ghostface music and 4th one doesn't really continue the earlier ones and disappoints, got enough brass instrument stuff from Michel F already in the game imo.
I think the 4th layer makes sense actually, think of it from a gameplay perspective. The brass comes out of nowhere just like the nurse with her power.
I thought that nurse will get a creepier theme, something like Onryo or Cenobite. This sounds like it could be from an action movie, kinda like Weskers theme.
Another comment I saw said that this perfectly embodies the sudden nature of Nurse teleporting on you, starting a chase out of nowhere and her also kinda being a force of nature with how strong she is (in game) Can't say I disagree
I enjoy playing against this killer, especially with this song. It captures multiple vibes at once for me. Love it, even if I don't live long enough to hear the whole thing. tbh a good bit of the dbd chase music does it for me.
The clock rhythm is very fitting for her considering her victims in the lore were on a timer when she strangled them. Also this will give me anxiety when I hear this in game too.
i think the chase music fits her more gameplay-wise than lore wise, which is okay imo. the jump from layer 2 to layer 3 is really cool and fitting for when she closes the gap with her teleport
8 Meters one sounds out of place, but that's mostly because it gives me heavy vibes of Ghost face, especially when you were marked. Could argue it fits in that if you're hearing it, there's a good chance your ass is getting found, but compared to the other 2 different radius ones, feels out of place with it's like empty yet creepy ambient feel to it, hard to really put it into words.
Layer 1: The Chugging of a Vehicle, The Smoke Exhausts slowly in a timely beat. The foggy atmosphere that lingers in the darkness of an Asylum. Calm, no danger. But the fear is there, slightly lingering. The nurse is expecting something, something hopeful Layer 2: An increase of Stress and Adrenaline. A Mental Patient is hitting a Pan/Bucket, asking for attention. Being a nuisance with a rhythmic, noisy and irritating beat. The nurse has no choice but to head to them, to calm them. Like a mother would. Layer 3: A Deep Strato of Rock. The nurse is stressed out, can't handle it anymore. Despair consumes her, she is running away. She is heading out of the asylum, getting into her van and driving quickly away. She wants to escape, escape! But, how? She returns back, the soft sounds of water drips, as she picks up a bonesaw, slowly walking towards a patient that was maniacally giggling to themselves. Layer 4: She messed up. She falls to her demise, the car crashed, the smoke exhaust dies and the breath of finality conquers all, the nurse has now become a killer. Run, run while you still can from the powerful being she is. Live while you can last, till your Last Breath. The nurse, our mother shall now aid out souls that are in fear of death, a quick desth she will deliver
Ive been saying this all day, this sounds really good, imo it would be perfect if starting from the 2nd to chase themes it had the high pitched singing that women in opera do. That just screams (no pun intended) Nurse imo. It would also be cool if there was a heart monitor beep starting at the 2nd phase and the beat of the beat got faster in each different phase.
Here are somethings that wouldn't and would work from your opinion. Heart Monitor wouldn't work, she is from WW2, Heart Monitors were too technologically advanced and was only invented after the war. They did something similar with the beating of the pan/bucket at the Second Layer. Some patients used that when they wanted attention to call for a nurse/doctor. In an asylum, its more of annoying and being crazy. A high pitch singing can really work. But at the same time can't, because nurse has a breathing problem, so signifying her humanity with a hymn would work if she didn't had Stridor. They countered it with her Chase theme where you can hear like breaths going left to right.
@@Crackgearson it doesnt matter if they were or were not around during WW2, a heart Monitor would still be scary as fuck and be fitting of a nurse (Not to mention i think the nurse isnt actually a good representation of scary nurse characters in general sadly)
These sound like bad changes. Heart monitor doesn't fit her theme at all, and opera signing would be a distraction. None of the other songs have vocals intentionally, because it's distracting.
@@ellie6091 the problem with it not fitting her theme is cause the nurse is the killer with the least amount of a "theme" to her Shes a nurse but she can teleport because....i guess nurses can do that? At least other killers somewhat stick to their name and Theme, the nurse is just a ghost with nurse clothing, nothing more
Idk if it's just me but the chase music reminds me of Wolfenstein Enemy Territory's menu music a bit. Nice to see something that reminds me of it. Game I used to play when I was younger.
I like the track don't get me wrong and I felt it fit well enough up until the 8 meter section and the chase section. First off the transition between 8 meters and chase is horrendous and all in all it just doesn't give of the vibe a creepy spectral nurse that teleports through walls to choke you to dead has. I myself was hoping for something more scary and chilling that's why i liked the first 2 parts cause I was getting that vibe but after that it just turns into a mess. Love it or hate it that's my opinion and if you have read this far thank you and have a nice day :)
It fits very well, reminds me AHS Asylum with some Silent Hill vibes, from what she is clearly inspired. She is perfectly designed to be the killer for Lisa Garland now (and not Nea lol)
I like the direction this is going for…But why isn’t anyone bringing up how jarring and loud the layer 4 is. Ghostface’s first rendition of new chase music had the same issue, and here, it’s definitely much more noticeable and distracting than that one.
reminds me of mrEnvy who made Legion and Clown fanmade music and spoke how his Clown theme was better and wanted like a petition to get his Legion chase in
Layer 2 legit sounds like doctors chase music just a tiny bit slower and less electrical and layer 3 is just ghost faces 8 meter lol And then her chase gives more more of an oni vibe just with trumpets. Gotta say it's the 1st killer ost for that 1 killer that sounds like multiple other killer osts lol
I think it would be a lot better if the first two layers match the same speed as the third layer and then combined both layers with the third layer and change the chase layer so it can match it with the other three layers
