The Analogues perform 'Dear Prudence' by The Beatles during an integral rendition of The Beatles' White Album at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, August 24th, 2018.
I am normally a "cover group hater". But These guys are way beyond a cover group. They are authentic! I grew up with these songs, know every note, and these guys are spot on perfect! Amazing.
ur right "Bottleman" i also grew up with the white album and every one before. that ...these guys must have pulled each laid down track to pieces to get such accuracy... stay well fella
The same for me. Four years ago, just before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, I took my father to a concert of the Analogues in the city where I live. as a birthday present. I am certain this was the best birthday present I ever gave to anyone (and I got to join him, hehehe). My father was in tears during several songs and I was too. It was as if I had given him a ride on a time machine for that night. I will never forget this evening. Thanks to The Beatles and thanks to The Analogues.
Just incredible! Sometimes, in reproducing a piece of music, the original is so great, that it’s form must not be changed. In classical music, that is the only way to play it. When it’s a Beatles composition, it’s original form cannot be bettered. The Analogues do it like I’ve never heard.
I am convinced that The Beatles themselves would not have performed at this quality level. I have seen the Analogues perform Abbey Road live and it was just pure magic!
Well, for sure the lads would have needed some backing tracks or more musicians on stage to recreate the album tracks. I’m sure the actual Beatles would’ve sounded as good or better!! You’re so fortunate to have seen the Analogues at Abbey Road!
Yeah ! I 've seen them on stage in Nantes France a few months ago . That was a huge show , specially Abbey Road side 2 ! And I was lucky enough to be invited durind the soundcheck . Unforgatable memory ......
When I first started listening to the Beatles a year or so ago, this is the first song that I didn't already know that really got my attention. I love the progression, which culminates in that guitar lead towards the end. Paul's bass line in this song could not be better.
Yeah I of course knew all of the classics, and I would say that "Hey Jude" is probably my all-time favorite Beatles song. But songs like this, "Michelle", "The Long and Winding Road", "I've Got a Feeling", among others gives me a whole new perspective, and a lot more respect for them. I've actually become a huge fan.
This what passion for music and for The Beatles is capable of doing. I can imagine the amount of time they got to spend to learn to play almost all The Beatles catalogue and play it like angels! With passion for something you love, you can do almost everything 😊
Yes , sure about the Beatles ! If you love Pink Floyd too , just have a look at " Brit Floyd " and " The Australian Pink Floyd Show " . I guess you'll be amazed ! Bruno from France
Let yourself go, immerse yourself in the late 1960's, the zenith, a time of beautiful karma and freedom that sadly will never be repeated. Thank you Beatles.
Eh oui , l'album blanc ! The White Album ... " Sexy Sadie " " Martha my dear " " Mother Nature's Son " etc ...
I recently learned that Prudence was Mia Farrow's sister and was and still is into deep meditation. Great band and I feel like it's the live version of the Beatles that we never got. I hate to say but it's better than dear Paul in his later years.
These Dutch guys are simply the most perfect Beatles tribute band. Considering also that they specialize in playing live whole albums of the advanced Beatles period, one might say that in that sense they are even better than the real thing. The Beatles themselves created those songs in the studio but most likely they would not have undertaken the task of performing live most of them. The Anologues do that to sheer perfection.
just shows that you do not have to dress up in timed Beatle costumes to cover their work like other cover bands do trying to look like and dress like in period costumes.. its all about the art not the hair.
I always regarded the epiphone casino as the primary guitar the Beatles used from Revolver onwards. From watching the Analogues the sound I was hearing a lot was actually the Gibson SG. I get why Paul Weller said his SG was his desert island guitar.
Ecellent reproduction by seven artists covering a four peice band, Though I am a devoute Beatles fan from back in 1962 I believe George Martin was the main man, The Beatles had an idea and he followed it through for them
I know BvP likes everyone to have a ‘click’ to follow the tempo but listening to Ringo’s answer to Jeff Lynne when asked to wear an ear piece for said ‘click’ told Lynne “ I am the fucking ‘click’” I think Fred deserves to be the click
I kinda get the hate for experience bands but i mean, 2 of the beatles are dead? if you want the music to die along with them i mean... ok. Awful but ok. But otherwise these bands need to exist. To much hate in the world and its because of how easy it is to hate things online, in person youd love these guys sound pretty killer. I dont want to break peoples hearts but live... these guys are probably better then The Beatles were. Alot of people who have heard them live said they were lack luster.
