When we meditate, it's easy to forget about our nervous system. Heck, on the day to day, it's easy to forget! When we are so easily shook, our nervous system is still there, reminding you! When you get cut off in traffic, you remember! Okay, your nervous system does! But you didn't forget, thank you for that!! You are so appreciated!

I’ve been on a journey of healing for a few years & I have learned so much. Sometimes trauma revisits and our nervous system can put us in fight or flight or cause anxiety (our body has memory). My body was in fight or flight for many years & I’ve been learning to calm my nervous system & using healthy coping mechanisms to self soothe, reflect and take care of myself. I had not been doing so lately & I felt I was carrying this low level tension/stress/anxiety with me. I came across someone who had hurt me in the past that (for some reason I’m not quite sure yet) caused me to go into a fight or flight again over something I thought I was over. If you’re in the same or similar situation or if you’re just taking the time out for yourself to take care of yourself, I am so proud of you. Wish you all healing & perseverance 🤍

This Meditation continues to be my favourite by far that I’ve ever heard. Linda the music and your words is like poetry and makes me feel so much better. After every single time I listen to it. I’m crying at the moment and it’s not from tears of sadness but tears of happiness to feel finally have a moment of Calm. Living with CPTSD as you know our our Central nervous systems are (as you say so eloquently) firing on all cylinders 24 hours a day and just to have that break is so beautiful and greatly appreciated. I am so glad that you were able to help others through your own story and make a huge impact on people, thank you from the kindness of my heart

I am never out of that fight,flight, freeze response and when you say “rest for a while” and the build up of this section is so well orchestrated, I’m very musical and maybe that is why your voice is in perfect timing. Anyway however you did this in my mind masterpiece of meditation is something that I listen to on the daily. I could’nt find it for a while and a couple of days ago it just played on my playlist and that is when I felt the calmness that I haven’t felt in over six months. Also you are so inspiring with sharing your own story. Thank you so much. Like I said in previously it is so greatly appreciated and I do love your other ones. The spirit guides and the one with the ocean 🌊 but this one in particular resonates with my soul somehow. I look forward to exploring more and more of your meditations. Thank you kindly

Thank you for this. I went back to it after suffering a concussion a, few days ago. It helps calm racing and exhausting thoughts and I think meditation is an important part of the recovery process

I've posted before, but I just wanted to say thank you again for your videos. I've been listening to them before I go to sleep and I'm falling asleep faster and I believe sleeping better. About a year and a half ago I had a TIA. I was considered low risk; not diabetic or high blood pressure. I believe my nervous system was fried, torn apart after back to back big stressors over 10 years. Thank you for being a part of my tool kit to heal my heart, mind and body. We are thousands of miles apart and yet your voice is like a friend right beside me Thank you Linda!

I did the four square breathing whilst listening to this calming meditation & it helped a lot - i've not been able to manage the four square before. I grew up in a v.violent household & suffer from cptsd, myalgic encephalomyelitis, & fibromyalgia from the trauma, a disease in my spine from a riding accident in my teens, diabetes & other things, so my nervous system feels like it is being attacked when i go through relapses & the sensations are very frightening. When a stress or a big shock happens in my life, it then flares everyrhing up. This meditation has helped calm my nervous system - thank you.

This video reminds me of the time when I had hives on my fingers due to prickly heat. I went to bathe in a waterfall and the cold water soothed my skin so much the hives died down. I listen to a video of yours every day, Linda. You have the best guided meditation on RU-vid!

💕🐿 heh hey squirrel spirit here..needed this. Love you Linda!! I put your videos on in the living room most of the day bc my dog loves being near your voice..hes so cute - he moves closer to the tv when you begin meditations..he wanders during other parts of my playlist, but always comes back for a relax when he hears your voice:)

My 'studio' recorded audios, since lock down are home recorded using the 'Origin' microphone by Aston Microphones; an Evo 4 Sound Card by Audient; and Cubase software by Steinberg. My sound engineer does all the editing and production work, I'm afraid that I don't know what software he uses. My home shoot videos are on my old iphone 6, using a Rode clip on mic, the editing and production work is done by my marketing consultant and I don't know what software she uses either. Trust that your body knows how to calm down if you allow it to Shirley. Following the guidance in this meditation should help. Do it several times if necessary, the body needs time to come down from being in fight or flight mode. 💖

Did anyone else just sob throughout the entire video for no apparent reason. Idk If it was the music or the lady’s voice but it was like the narrator in a last scene of a movie where the main character is dying and she’s guiding them to the afterlife idk it’s 3am I think I need to go to bed
