Great video Allen! You summarized in minutes what usually required days due to the slow as molasses booting! Just wanted to comment: Unified Server Configurator Platform Update won't work no matter the version on the server, as Dell removed up to 12th gen server updates from their FTP server, see www.dell.com/community/Rack-Servers/Lifecycle-Controller-update-issue/m-p/6096256#M3601 so the way to go is the ISO updater, latest available ATM dated 9th December 2018... at least they're updating that.

Good informational video. Thank you! I have my R710 for quite some time. Decided to move away from XenServer due to some of its restrictions. Proxmox seems to be a lot more flexible to work with including features which Xen does not have. I have 8 x 300gb HDD. 2 in RAID0 and another 5 in RAID0 as well. The last drive is for the OS. The installation seems to go well. The only time Proxmox saw my OS drive is if it was in RAID on its own. Upon reboot, I am getting an error message saying there isn't any bootable device. I double checked the BIOS and boot order - nothing. What am I missing?

Just got my R710 yesterday, and I laughed out loud when you said the part about not mounting the drive correctly as i did the exact same thing :) Did your server come with the PERC6/i raid controller?
