I call it my "Digitooth"! This 2S Babytooth has a stripped down Caddx Vista and it weighs just 59 grams + battery. It is my lightest and quietest drone with the DJI Digital FPV system. It's super fun! Build info below (click "Show More")...
You can also follow me on Instagram to see what I'm up to. I post pretty often these day:

Amazing footage. Iwould have loved to see a longer clip of steady lines like you did along the path, then go low across the grass and through the trees up above to the skyline following a smooth line, really giving the impression of a larger quad, then turn around and close proximity through the trees on the way back. There were times I would swear that I was watching a 4" 👍👍👍

Great build, I really want to get involved with the little baby toothpicks as well. They look so fun to fly. I found in my FPV career, the R Line Lipos give the most raw full power. Once they get below their nominal voltage though they will sag hard on you, but its full power till the last second. I found the GNB lipos like cruising more. The r-line packs are also very light and small in comparison to their Mah rating. Best part about the Tattu range for me has been the durability. Only lipos that survive my crashes.

With a small mod the Pro will fit, I built one last night with the same Racer-X canopy. I had to cut the nubs off the inside to make room and gently stretched the hole for the lens just a touch. I moved the mini mortal to the back slots and it all works.

How about the Geprc phantom hd?
@stylesuxx
@stylesuxx 3 года назад
@@yuvalyosef I would not consider them to be in the same class. This one weighs as much with battery as the Phantom without ;-) Not saying that the phantom isn't a good copter. For me it is important to be able to fly as many copters as I can on the same type of battery, this way I don't need to bring so many quads to a session - I always bring 2 - sometimes 3 quads per battery type. My main batteries are 2S 450mAh. The phantom is 4S, so i would at least need another copter that takes 4S, otherwise I am running the risk of having a bunch of 4S batteries that I have to discharge at home, because I crashed my only quad that I can use them on.

@MrShutterBug
@MrShutterBug 3 года назад
How do you like it? I'm very tempted to get Shark Byte because latency is very important to me. The DJI system is good, but I do feel more connected to the drone when I fly analog, despite the static and stuff. Or maybe it's just because my DJI drones are heavier and thus they aren't quite as responsive. Hard to tell, but anything that can reduce that weight is interesting to me.
@TitanFPV
@TitanFPV 3 года назад
@@MrShutterBug Love it. I’ve never flown DJI before, but the image is at least comparable to the Nebula Nano V2 on your Babytooth. The reception is very dependent on the quality of antennas. One with naked Vista at 200mW, one with a tiny 400mW Eachine analog VTx, and one with the Shark Byte at 200mW. The Vista and analog quads fly around the outside of my house fine. I wanted it to be as light and quiet as possible, and I think 2S is plenty. 2S batteries also tend to be lighter than the equivalent 3S batteries. I have a 4-inch DJI drone that is super powerful, but it is too dangerous and noisy to fly in my backyard and neighborhood. That's where the light Babytooth platform opens up opportunities for me. Thanks! They include the heat sink because the Vista can get pretty hot. I have not had any problems with overheating while flying, but then I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, where the air is pretty cool most of the time. In a very hot climate it might be more of a problem. The only time I have ever had it overheat was when it was plugged in on the bench (when flashing the DJI firmware, for example). That's why I blow a fan on it while it is plugged in on the bench.

@@MrShutterBug that's good to hear (I'm a UK flier so ambient heat isn't a problem ;-) A bench fan is a small price to pay to shed 10g!! Awesome, thanks again.

Great review, smooth fly’n. Do you have a 3D printer? When yes which are you using? Many thnx & take care 🤓😉😘

I do, but I haven’t used it much. I have friends who are 3D printing experts who often print stuff for me. My printer is a Monoprice Mini Delta.

I'm in the middle of a 95x v3 build and I keep wanting to scrap it for 3 inch like this with prop guards.

That's awesome. I built 2 Flywoo MLR quads (before Dave released it commercially) and was looking for a new project to get excited about. Thinking of cloning your build. Do you have a build group on FB or something?

No, I do not have my own FB discussion group. I've thought about starting one though.

Rebuild with a Nebula Pro or decased DJI camera... and fly in low latency mode...
