@@adastrizzy exactly I agree with both you ladies. I just watched this video, the irony is I just did this before coming across this video the guy is still reaching. I have not danced around the topic like he says we do in this video. I told him direct, we are not a fit, we have no chemistry and our happily ever after is not together. The guy as you most likely have experienced yourself ladies, is still trying to convince me, after his pity manipulation, about feeling sorry that have not felt this way as if I had a disease which failed to go away. So now I am going to what works, blanking all texts then blocking after you have been honest to someone. Men just need to get over it. When we are outright rejected by them, sometimes very harshly, hastliy or nasty, we have to accept it even if it is awful. I don't see why they need to get their ego stroked before even accepting rejection. When you tell them direct and polite it just gets ridiculous on their part. 🙄 Some men do take the directness and move on but a lot don't. I guess the same could be said about woman.

How do I let my new co-worker know I’m NOT interested?? He’s constantly trying to get my attention, says things like: “I’m going to lunch, I will see you soon.” If I keep talking to my client, ignoring him, he continues repeating this line, like a CHILD! every time when I try to reject a guy in polite and respecteful way, I say that I dont really feel like i have that romantic chemistry or I dont think we are a good fit etc. Im really trying to be honest and direct, but guys think Im playing games and they start to chase me even more, they keep texting like nothing happened, wishing me good night and good morning even if I dont reply back. And when I try to speak to them, saying that do you remember our talk last time? I said you that Im not intrested etc They agree and apologize but next day start texting again. And then I start getting annoyed and say something rude to him and then blocked him. Sometimes guys think that if you re polite thats mean you like him and it gives them little hope

Matt! I used the face to face statement and he still didn't take no for an answer. He came back with Romantic chemistry can build up over time. WTH??? I have no physical attraction fro this guy, let alone anything else! Even went to the last resort of saying am in a relationship and he comes back with "I will wait for you." I did this exact thing and the guy’s reaction was so cool. He liked that I was direct and honest and asked what he did so that he could improve. Wow, by him saying that, it actually made me want to continue chatting with him. Of course, I knew it would be crazy to say “but we can still hang” after letting him down nicely. Th good thing is that everything ended respectfully and on good terms. This advice is soooo on point, real, and works!!

I like the direct and honest approach, however, I would never turn a guy down in person at the end of the date. That could become very scary and turn bad. I’d say over the phone or a text message.

I blocked this guy on social media, told him directly I'm not interested and this guy keeps chasing me. I told him flat out I'm not interested in him at all. He flipped out and said he was going to go talk to all his friends about it. I thought it was so weird... considering I never hung out with him outside of work. He works at the same place and he tries buying me lunch all the time after I rejected him. He manipulates the situation by saying oh but I'm buying lunch for everyone but ends up just buying lunch for me. Then he starts talking about other women and I can tell he believes he's making me jealous when tbfh, I don't give a damn.... I can only hope he gets with someone so he can leave me alone! He's so creepy and grotesque, these feelings keep growing the more he keeps trying. How do i get him to just give up?! It's been a year of this and I can't make him leave me alone.

A way that I reject men who there is no preemptive romantic pretense (work, life, friends) “thank you so much for being honest. I appreciate that. And while I’m flattered, I don’t feel the same.” I keep it short and sweet and I don’t over explain because that gives rooms for debate, and it’s not a debate. If they push ahead even though I decline I say “I understand how you feel, I have been in your shoes, but trust me I am doing you a favor by being honest and I’m not attracted to you” sometimes you have to get a little more assertive with each additional advance. By no means do you ignore your feelings to give someone a chance. Just be honest and end with “I like the way we interact and I don’t want this to interfere with that, so let’s move forward in a positive way” Some guys are very very pushy. Be prepared with assertive responses, and just block and run if they contibue

This is so helpful. I have been feeling the same way as your client. I am afraid to even talk to anyone because I hate to reject anyone. This also gave me insight into how guys think...I've rejected guys in the past with specifics and then they end up doing what you said. I think that's why I have come to be so anxious about rejecting guys because it almost turns into this argument about why or why not the relationship would work. I need to be more generic!

+Nonhlanhla M that's just something a person says to make him or herself feel better about being rejected. That person took the rejection too personally. They think saying that will hurt you and it's "only fair" because you "hurt them". You should say it before or after, it's up to you, and as Mathew says, let any "hurtful" thing the other person says roll off your back like water off a duck's back. Knowing it doesn't make you a bad person. You didn't want to lead him or her on, that's how I see it.

I'm 69 and it's been a long time since I dated. But I had what I considered to be the easiest, simplest way to get rid of someone I didn't want hanging around anymore. First of all, this only works if you don't care about who broke up with who. If you need to save face, it won't work. So if you're okay with letting the other person be able to say that they broke up with you, what you do is start a fight. You've got to come up with a fight that will be definitive. Come up with a fight that will make him or her, as the case may be, not want to be with you anymore. If a person traveled in my circles so that I might have to say anything about The Break-Up, I would just say we weren't right for each other. For kids of school-age, before College, this may not work well because of all the drama, but it works great once you're at a more independent stage of life.

One of my classmate in elementary made a group on messenger for our batch then one of my guy classmate add me on fb and I accepted it. He messaged me like where I live, blah blah and it did happened we're just in the same city. He asked me if we could see each other. I said "sure, when I'm not busy" . He started to message me good eve/ good morning followed by when can I see you messages. Maybe I'm just so full with myself but I just don't like him in a romantic way. So I kept making excuses to him that I am busy coz I really don't want to see him. I feel bad tho for lying.

I realize I should be more direct but I’m so non confrontational but you’re absolutely right! I danced around with this one guy saying I don’t want to start anything because I’m not sure where my career is going, plus you’re looking for a relationship I can’t offer that to you etc.. he says well if this isn’t going to be anything now or never hopefully we can be friends. I don’t want to leave that door open because it’ll be awkward for me. I’m avoiding him he’s telling me I don’t need too, but I’ve had him pop up on me when I was out with my girl and he tried to act like he didn’t see me but walked directly to me and stood behind me! That upset me bcuz we both work in law enforcement, and I’m really not trying to play that game with him. He invited me out for a drink a few days later I declined.

Hahah this doesn’t work either. I’ve had to start telling guys I’m not interested in that I have a crazy stalker ex goes after anyone new I start dating. I also make sure to add in that he’s served time. 😂 If you tell them that you’re not feeling the chemistry, they also see that as a challenge and try to convince you otherwise. They don’t even care if you’ve gotten out of a breakup and are not emotionally ready for anything. They try to convince you that they’re the one that will finally make you happy. Which obviously, anyone who can’t respect your boundaries from the start is a major red flag.

What if you accendentally led him on during a first date after getting a little too tipsy at dinner? And you have mutual friends who will lose trust in you after rejecting him? I need advice please, he wants to hang out again tonight and I gave him the wrong idea. I feel awful, but it felt like I was kissing my brother.

There won't be closure if I went and leaded those poor guys on by letting him drive home with the thought that he's going to see me for a second date, and then to only find out that they can only reach my voicemail box from that day on. I don't mean to do that, I was raised in a family where "NO" was never acceptable due to consequential punishments me and my siblings were to find ourselves if we tried to even refuse the fulfillments of our parents. Therefore I never learned "how" to say no, and finds having to say NO to someone comes with the tortures we go through with our inner self. Yes, I still feel bad, and it breaks my heart that those guys have to make mends with whatever has happened to me, or between them and me, that has caused me to ignore their calls. This video does helps, by instructing me how to say "no" in my most genuine intents.

But their not going to be ok with a girl going out with him, when she really isn't interested. Like come on. I'm sorry, but it's the guys responsibility to find closure. Especially when he got the answer from a girl he asked out, which might be a no. If he doesn't like being rejected, ok. Nobody does. But it's life. Your sad, mad, upset or whatever after you get rejected, but then you move on, maybe find someone new. Like, face reality here. And no, you don't have to agree with my comment, and it's ok if you don't. But I put it here anyway.
