Helen, when I heard that you have crocheted prayer shawls for sick people, I can't even begin to thank you for that! I live in Indiana, and I have been the recipient of a prayer shawl from the donations up there, from the hospital where I have been fighting the fight of my life with breast cancer, which I am now winning!!!. It brightened my day when I received it, and I use it quite often and always will. I know that the people who make these, don't get to see the appreciation for them, so I just wanted to let you know, that whoever received yours, was very grateful for it! and I'm sure it touched their hearts. I think this is the first video I saw of yours when I was wanting to make some frilly Portland cement flower pots a couple years ago..but never got any bags of cement and then I just went on to something else. BUT... I recently found you and your channel again and have so enjoyed watching all your vids of you creating and I am addicted!! You make the most beautiful things!! Everything I've seen you make turns out absolutely beautiful!! You are DEFINITELY an artist!! I make lacy doilies and my daughters do crafts so when it is my time to go since I know they both do not use doilies to cover their tables or couches / chair arms I am leaving a note for them saying that it is ok for them to use them in craft projects like this :) that way they can still get use out of them and enjoy them for many years after I am gone , both girls love plants . I am so proud of them both and like I said this is a great idea in using them. great video Helen and I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Helen you need a concrete mixing wand that you put on youre drill. Saves youre hands and arms. Easy mixing. Love the doilies too! Did one small one in glue. Now I have to press it a bit and paint. : )

At first it resembled a barnacle but after the paint job it really took on personality! Your projects are alot of fun to watch, thanks so much!

Helen, I love watching your videos and seeing your beautiful yard with the birds and dogs as you do them. This project looks like so much fun, and yes, it is one of a kind. I'm going to go to Goodwill and Salvation Army and some thrift stores to see if I can pick up some doilies and try doing this. Thank you Helen for inspiring us Seniors to go on and be useful. this one reminds me of what my Ex mother-in-law use to do with her porcelain slip. She'd place lace in the slip and wrap it on her porcelain dolls and fire them.
