Nice video thank you, really useful information to me. This is the first range test I’ve seen of the car in summer temperature. With the amazing consumption you achieved the car should have a total range of 10.0km/kWh X 32 kWh = 320km. Hypermiling should beat that ... amazing!
I also tried to keep around the speed limit for most of the time where traffic made it possible, even overtaking a few times. So it is possible to go even further I think. The roads on the south-west coast of Norway aren't exactly built with EV efficiency in mind either. Most of the time I tried to drive as close to what how I would drive using any car, but I did hypermile a bit in the end but it was only the last 10 km or so :)
Great trip and very nice mileage achieved! +1 :-) We also own new 2020 e-UP and we love it! But haven't tested for such long distances yet. We also installed We-connect app from Volkswagen, where you can control some car functions remotely (climate, charging setup etc.) and there you get a bit more details about consumption. There are 3 info's (engine avg cons., additional cons.-> i don't what this one is for- perhaps AC/heating/radio, and avg. recuperated energy). Perhaps the one in maps+more shows only engine consumption? Nevertheless, great video ;) Maybe we will post one in future aswell ;)
Maps+more should display the same info as we connect, at least it does on my 2015 e-up. But I haven't really tested it so it is possible, however the "spent energy" meter goes up when the car stands still. I will check it out next time i have the 2020 e-up :)
Great video and excellent result. If I can stray off-topic, do you happen to know how feasible it would be to upgrade the battery in your 2015 car to the later 2020 spec? Clearly you would need the later battery but I wonder how much else needs to change.
21.5°C, hot for Norwegians? Here in my country, 23°C is a daytime temperature on a town, 1300m above sea level, and the town's folks there already said it's cold.
It includes AC, you can see that by the efficiency dropping when standing still with AC on :) I think it actually did have that low consumption, it's just there are losses when driving so you won't get the full "net capacity" that you are supposed to.
Hei, Rekkevidde i 100 km/t kommer litt an på vær og temperatur. Jeg skal teste forbruk og rekkevidde i forskjellige varianter etterhvert. I vanlig stikkkontakt ville jeg ikke ladet med 16A da du mest sansynlig vil få varmgang i ledningen/stikk. Det tryggest er å lade 10A med vanlig kontakt :)
