Dude legit has every advantage over the other players (not having a job, able to practice whenever he wants, 30 years of experience with the series, a dedicated internet line for his consoles, a $400 fightstick) and still gets his shit pushed in every time he plays this game.
@@roulejj1342 Tbh his dedicated line is crap but he still have the other advantages except for a pc that is and remember that pc players has a fraction of a millisecond less delay and thats why they manage to beat him every time.
His commitment to not understanding that he's the problem is absolutely legendary. Phil, YOU have these problems. People who actually enjoy video games and are actually good at them can handle everything you say is impossible to handle. The connection is amazing I hardly ever see lag in your gameplay. And when lag does happen, it's so minor you don't even mention it. It's gonna be a wild day when realization hits this guy. If it hits him that is. He'll probably yell "WHY DID REALITY HIT ME?! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING! THIS ISN'T FUN! I AM NOT ENJOYING THIS!"
I don't know anything about fighting games but he keeps complaining that people are just jabbing when they clearly aren't jabbing. Regardless, he should be good enough to punish them for it if it's such a scrub move.
@@floatinghamstickSometimes you can actually hear him button mashing while complaining the opponent is mashing. The guy mashes so hard you can hear it over the mic lmao
@@floatinghamstick he also mashes a bunch of times, matter of fact there were some times literally in this stream where he mashed like 3 jabs in a row, he does it all the time, it's just when other people do it that it's a problem
@@KrisLee2113 That wouldn't surprise me although SF6 has a feature where you can rematch previous matches with both players inputs. Basically anyone who plays him can prove he mashes he can't hide that.
"No one is ever in the corner in high level matches" Another dumb statement from him that truly showcases that he doesn't know what he is talking about.
That and pro players NEVER wake up super. That's scrub only. Does he ever watch any tournaments? Because i've seen quite a few guys wake up super. Besides, he only falls for it because he's stupid. Who in the actual fuck keeps getting hit by wake up supers over and over? It's like looking at a needle, hurting himself, looking again and think it won't hurt again. Over and over.
He also complained someone used a level 3 in the middle of the match and also a wake up level 3 to win the set. He also once complained that no pro player would ever use a specific move as a finisher in a tournament and all this while not playing at a tournament so why does he care? So he can pretend to be a pro that gets surprised at all the casual game play while engaging in casual game play? Well if he wants to pretend he is a pro maybe he should adapt to different play styles like a pro.
You'd think after a year he would at least accidently learn how the ranking system works. If you already have a character at Master, you automatically get placed into the high Diamond player pool. They even changed it further with the new patch that even if you lose all 10 placement matches you still automatically get Diamond 1. All the placement matches are deciding is what Diamond rank you're getting.
Chun-Li may have lost the set but she won the Salt Award of the night as far as I'm concerned. Making DSP disconnect muh fightstick out of pure spite 🐖🎮🤣 absolutely legendary 🔥🐷🔥👉🏼🥓
There is even a video of him at a tournament asking the opponent (I Think it was Justin Wong) to pick his opponent first so that he could pick Akuma when it was an unwritten rule not to pick him because he was so op and broken.
Yeah that one was wild. He acts like the other guy is a scrub who got lucky with drive impact. The reality is Phil was repeatedly jumping hoping to randomly jump over it if the opponent did a drive impact. Phil can't react to DI so he's jumping to hopefully beat it. The guy saw him doing this and timed his DI to hit Phil as he landed from his jump. Phil plays like a scrub because he has bad reactions, gets punished for it, but somehow the other guy is the scrub.
@@ickyfist gets stuck in the corner while in burnout, then complains that he lost to some lucky wall crumple mechanic lol. At least you played poorly to end up like that instead of playing against someone with a busted v trigger and you had the audacity to get them low.
@@glaive120 That's what annoys me the most about his complaints. He gets mad that the opponent has an unfair advantage when he's in the corner and acts like there's nothing he can do about it. He refuses to take responsibility for the fact he lost neutral and that's why the opponent has an unfair advantage. That's their reward for outplaying him. But instead of accepting that and learning to not get put into that situation he deludes himself into thinking they are just unskilled and getting to do random offense on him with no recourse.
Phil complaining about drive impact again is hilarious. All they did was increase the buffer AFTER it ends so you can get easier follow-up. And even if they did increase they time you have to react with a DI that's exactly what he wants he's been crying about not being able to react to DI since day 1. This guy is beyond delusional.
funny thing is I caught part of the earlier stream, when he was first testing out akuma, and mysteriously the connection was perfectly fine in casual play...
Worst is, wtf does he expect? He's doing baby rage all night, not in the best mood to be interacted with and has been doing so much boring SF6 gameplay, what else is there to talk about in chat among themselves? DSP need to have his internet revoked, get therapy and also a real job.
he expects you to agree with his baby rage the entire night and not talk about anything else, the most narcissist loser ever, dude doesn't even have a reason to love himself this much lol
He also said he wouldn’t be able to shout out all contributions because would be engrossed in the game and had to focus. So his chat is supposed to just sit there silently for hours but then he will ask why nobody is talking
The game was going great until I started getting matched against players better than me! Now the game is broken doods! SNORT Also holy crumbo did the mask slip off toward the end there. Philliam went full Twitch thot on his audience, and he doesn't have the melon rack to back up that kind of talk.
I wish he was the only person I'd ever heard make the "I'm too skilled to win against these people" argument. That one has always been common among poker and go scrubs.
I do think SF6' ranking system seems comically busted. If a completely outclassed scrub like Princess Philly can get to Diamond or Master and be stuck constantly outmatched by other players galaxies above your skill level, then clearly the whole system needs reworking. Like, it seems obvious to me it's far, FAR too easy for players with no more than an average level of skill to get stuck being matched against players way beyond that skill level. He'd probably be salty as hell if he couldn't ever even get to Diamond or something, but if he got stalled at a lower rank, he'd at least win a few more matches against appropriately ranked players at his level.
And he is complaining about how cheap or terrible the other character is while he's literally playing the same character yet somehow his masterful strategy loses to button mashing patterns
@@Blisterdude123the issue is that you're asked to evaluate your own skill level before ever starting ranked. if you say you're an advanced player it'll pit you against diamonds and masters in your placement matches. and even if you eat total ass you'll still end up in diamond. it's kinda capcom's fault but also if he overestimated his skill it's his fault too.
@@squampie Sure, but I'd still argue the fault is with Capcom for enabling that so easily. And apparently making it almost impossible for the game to gradually correct that by dropping you in ranks to where you 'should' be and not where your ego thinks you should be? Perhaps a simple correction is if you spend 3 hours getting trashed like Phail here, you see an exponential decrease in ranking points as the game gradually adapts to your evident misplacement in ranking?
If you like the gameplay, please consider supporting. Super sticker, super chat, membership, gifted memberships, and the holy tips. You guys can also drop a like and engage in chat, but who am I kidding, I want mawney!
He smashed it so hard it disconnected and not a single time does he stop to think that a joystick made out of plastic might stop working correctly if you do that. You know, dropping inputs here and there.
@TheZodiacRipper seriously. If I was getting phantom inputs, I would open up the stick and make sure nothing was shorting out, especially if I beat on it hard enough that it literally stopped working. He's like a kid that gets their console taken away because he's not mature enough to be trusted not to break it.
Phil gets hit by DI: Can't do anything about it! Phil's DI gets counter DI'd: Drive Impact's worthless now! You can do counter Drive Impact react sooo late
It’s sad. He refuses to move on from this game because. Street fighter is the only thing he’s done in his life that meant anything to him before he stopped living it
He can reach master rank because of new sf 6 rank system which is way easier than sf5 or sf4. Not because of his actual skills. Capcom dumbed down the rank system to make none pro players happy and increases the sales. 😂
@@jkdman2007 Master rank is essentially gaining black belt, it just proves you have completed the training and are competent. Master rank points and such are the dan ranks after for people honing their craft. So basically Master rank points onwards is where the real rank begins.
@@LeeONardo True. But dave will brag about himself whenever he reaches master rank with nay character. He got 5 star diamond akuma because of this new rank system. His akuma is so awful, but he still won 8/10 matches is insane.
No wonder his wife can’t stand him and doesn’t even want to be in the same room with him. Imagine listening to this all evening long! From your husband no less.
"He turned on a lag switch." Says the person who uses business-level internet WIFI with a partial reception. We've seen your connection strength in other games, you are not fooling anyone.
the funny thing is, the lag spiked DURING the opponent's combo. Why would any player turn on a lag switch during his own combo? If anything in that situation phail was the one who turned on the lag switch. Dipshytphail is just insufferable and the epitome of a sore loser.
13:30 love how he complains about this one lol. Baiting a DI with H knuckle and then lvl. 3 cancelling is the oldest trick in rhe Luke book. Bro got his weak matchup knowledge checked fully and he's still complaining as if the player is at fault.
"How do I get out of the corner?" That's the trick DSP, you're not supposed to let yourself be put in the corner to begin with. It's been a thing in fighting games since forever. Don't lose neutral, don't get stuffed in the corner, don't lose the match. You're not supposed to get out of there for free because it's the penalty for your poor decisions and mistakes that led you to be there in the first place.
@@alekslic3385 "I never see anyone end up in the corner in pro matches I watch!" Like yeah DSP, they know it's a bad place to be in so they avoid getting put there. Don't jump back for no reason or walk yourself into a corner running from fireballs.
@apa123APA THANK YOU! The amount of times I have watch him deliberately jump into the corner and throw the match are not even funny at this point. This man legit doesn't know ANY fighting game fundamentals.
@@Flamedramon645 I'd like to see him labbing a bit. Partly because it would be a sign of growth and partly because it would be hilarious seeing him rant at the practice dummy.
Cahmon dood. It's totally unreal! You can not break throws ahnline!! The netcode doesn't let you!!! Meanwhile other players do break his throws, and some do it on consoles too, not just pc. But hey, phil did everything right. The game just does not want him to succeed. He has the reaction time of a sloth. That's the only reason he can't counter di's and break throws.
5:36 These moments always get me the most on his fighting game streams. "Couldn't blahck low the game doesn't let me on reACKtion", it's an 8 frame startup move it's physically impossible to react to. An "FGC Veteran Top 4 EVO player" should know these fundamental things about fighting games.
I'd do anything shy of giving him money to see him play somebody, ANYBODY offline again. I know it's all the same excuses as 20 years ago, but it's my wish.
Indeed, if only they didn't come at the same time and that could prepare for them. No, instead you can just throw money at JPEGs and gin and not worry about it.
Ive been playing Ed since he released. SF6 is my first ever SF and one of te first I've been taking seriously at improving. Started day 1 with Juri. I'm plat 3 now with Ed, the highest rank I've gotten so far, and I still feel very unconfident, nervous and overall bad with my gameplay. Granted, a lot of it is mental and emotional, but still. So whenever I feel bad about my gameplay or whatever, I genuinely think putting on some DSP compilations from this channel honestly helps my mood and shows me I'm not as bad a player as I think I am. Like really, it's such a confidence booster knowing you are both a better person, sport and player than DSP and genuinely spurs me to want to get back in there and keep improving. It honestly does wonders to the mental. So thank you DSP Tries It! Your comps of this man genuinely helps my gameplay and mental with improving myself in SF.
Phil 1 minute in: DOOD DRIVE IMPACT IS COMPLETELY USELESS NOW YOU HAVE SO MUCH TIME TO REACT!! (Spongebob narrator) 10 minutes later:' DOOD HE KEEPS WINNING BY DOING WALK FORWARD DRIVE IMPACT!!
I watch most of his prestreams and I've never heard him talk about people "demanding" or even requesting he play with new characters. People have asked him to not be a pussy and test his theories about high tier characters by playing them. I guess he's conflating that with playing any new character for the purpose of begging.
The fact that he got a couple of wins (even some perfects against horrible scrubs) and then get his ass completely beaten to the point of being demoted made this even more funnier 😂
1:35 bro I unironically thought he was about to say "I don't fart" cuz that genuinely sounds like something he'd say, it wouldn't even be one of the stupidest things he's said.
When I hear him play this game I visualize him playing tag during recess in middle school, getting tagged and making several excuses as to why it didn’t count and he’s not it.
I love how any DSP gameplay, whether it be “how not to play”,or any video on his channel … it’s always the games fault! Net code , input lag, latency issues, bugged gameplay mechanics , it’s always something stopping Phil from being the non casual gamer he is!
I was a DSP fan a LONG time ago during the sf4 era because he was one of the few making videos. He hasn't evolved at all lol. All the same complaints he had 15 years ago. I don't understand how anyone still watches him; it's almost like it's satire at this point. He "can't do anything" because he doesn't know wtf he's doing 😂
