I know it’s not exactly what you wrote but, please nobody show him javascript, he might feel vindicated. Let sum = ‘’1’’ + 1; console.log(sum); The result will be 11 since js concatenates the character ‘’1’’ with the integer 1 to a new value ‘’11’’;
It’s advanced algebra not your 7th grade math, advanced algebra involves complex concepts beyond basic arithmetic, and calculators often use approximations for irrational numbers like the square root of 2 (√2), which is approximately 1.41421356. While these approximations are usually sufficient for everyday calculations, certain mathematical operations, especially those involving iterations, recursions, or very small intermediate results, can lead to inaccuracies. For precise calculations, especially when dealing with irrational numbers or fractions, symbolic manipulation is essential. This allows for exact results rather than approximations. For example, consider the equation 2^2 * (√2)^2. Simplifying this, we get 4 * 2 = 8, which is accurate but does not equate to 2^3 (which is also 8). He highlights the importance of understanding and applying algebraic principles correctly, maybe don’t judge others so quickly and hop off the bandwagon.
2^2 * (√2)^2 Does equate to 2*2*2 and therefore 2^3 Maybe I'm too drunk to comment to this but I feel like either you're trying to sell people a lie or there is something that one of us doesn;t undertstand.

It's crazy bro cause I actually liked him as Rhody, when I first scene Iron Man 2 I had no clue he was replaced and when I saw the new one it was jarring af lol
Okay but how can that be true if 1*1=2??? That would break the bifocal inverse conjugal visit theorem that I personally invented by manifesting my pre-conceptual consciousness within my uncle when he was in 4th grade. Plz do more thorough research if you do not want to be embarrassed by a genius

Their conversation is a perfect example of the Dunning-Krueger effect. Even as they both claim to not be very smart, they assume they understand these topics enough to believe that Terrance Howard knows more than people who dedicate their lives to these sciences.
Not once did they say they think he knows better than real scientists. There’s people smarter than all of us who would entertain Terrence and not just trash him because there is always a chance he has something there. For example, watch Neil Degrasse Tyson’s video addressing his name being mentioned on that podcast. He respectfully took his time to read all 36 pages of the paper he sent to him and genuinely peer reviewed it, results were as expected (or maybe not because Neil was actually very kind in his criticism.) The greatest barrier to learning is not a lack of understanding, but a false belief that one already understands. Not only does Terry not understand basic mathematics--he doesn't even know what the purpose of math is. It's like true understanding is absent in his brain, and in its place is some kind of dummy blocking his ability to recognize how wrong he is. If you tried to explain multiplication to him with examples, he wouldn't learn because he doesn't even realize that those things are what multiplication is trying to describe. He doesn't see that math is merely a language to describe what is, and not some kind of magic art that makes things appear and disappear. In order to get him to understand, it's as if you'd have to completely wipe his brain of all things relating to math and start over from the beginning. That's how poorly he understands the subject and how much his bias blocks him from realizing it. He thinks math is some kind of magic art that makes things appear and disappear, when in reality, it's simply a language meant to describe what is and isn't.
I find it funny that they end up doing it in the dumbest way possible. Instead of buying math textbooks and trying to set aside the time to actually learn, they just make up whatever they want because they’re too smart or something.
It’s probably because they actually believe it could be real deep down and being high just lets them be more comfortable with saying that. Because when they first heard this theory, they probably weren’t high. At least Rogan didn’t seem to be

The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” - Isaac Asimov

I like to think it wasn't that Terrence Howard wanted too much money to do Iron Man 2 but that he used his version of mathematics during his contract negotiations.
Ask Terrence how many times he played Rhody in the Iron Man series. When he responds with 1, just say "Huh that's interesting, I don't remember seeing you in the second one."
Action Bronson got a huge popularity boost early in his career for sitting on a couch smoking bud and watching ancient aliens talking about how crazy it is. It’s not really a character he’s just having fun with it.
