You have already won on this trip. You are getting to experience what a lot of us would gladly put up with a mouse for :-)) Have fun and thanks for taking us along.

Oh no!!!!! Those tasty MREs lured him in. Sorry that does suck and trying to catch it all night. That is very flat terrain for a while, but great views. Sweet camp spot for the night listening to the water. You did good flying the drone in the wind.

Thanks for continuing to share your adventure with us. You are posting a great mix of “trail video” and your discussion of what you are doing & what you are seeing. Kudos!

Wyoming is amazing! May not be a bad thing to not see it a lot on YT. Keep it a secret and keep it a gem!

Something has changed on my computer and I'm not getting any notifications of any videos. I found this by scouting out RU-vid. Anyway, it's kind of funny how a mouse can climb into a vehicle like that. I hope you got him by now. If now, stop by and I'll put my cats in there. Beautiful scenery as usual and it's good to see so much open space is still available for travel and camping. I already miss being on the road. But I have your and Manny's videos to get me by for now. :)

They are crafty little things. I was surprised as well, especially since I doubt they are getting in through the firewall. I have looked and there is no access. I do hear them on the roof at times, so they are finding a way for sure. Hopefully next year we can plan a trip and find some good places to camp. Glad to hear you are still up for it after your trial run!

Yer mouse will have to have water soon and probably head for the river for a drink eliminating your problem. In my twenties, I lived and worked in the backcountry. I went to work for an old miner by the name of Glenn Higstead at the Yankee Boullion Mine in the Idaho Primitive Area. Nowadays the Primitive Area is called the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness. At one end of the cabin, he had bunk beds, and being younger more agile I slept on the top bunk. On my first night at the cabin at about 2AM in total darkness I was jerked from my sleep by several rounds of gunfire and bright muzzle flash in the cabin. After the dust settled and with my ears ringing loudly, I could barely hear Glenn cursing "God-damned packrats." Like you, Glenn didn't like having his sleep interrupted by rodents LOL. Anyway, that was the Glenn Higstead method of rodent control and we went through it about every other night. During my stay with Glenn, we shot several packrats and deer mice running across the floor of the cabin with Colt pistols. I loved life on the river... ;-)

That is a great story! I am surprised you still have any hearing left. From the other comments you have made, seems like you have had a bunch off great experiences. Although some came with hard work, they all make for good stories! Adventure comes in many forms, and so does the learning and appreciation from it! Good stuff. Thanks for posting!

Joel - "I can't win on this trip..." Me with a jeep I can't get back together to take out or get the time off from work... " well you're a few laps ahead of me bud..."

Yeah...I can take it all for granted. My small problems are just that! Best of luck getting out there soon though!

Probably trapped over 15 mice in my jeep already. I always have a trap set with peanut butter.

With all the places you go and how long you stay to enjoy some areas, I guess that is to be expected. I will be keeping an eye out a lot more and mouse traps are now a must have for my trips!

I am sure there were trout and good fishing in many areas we passed. We did have a couple of guys fish in that spot while we were there. I think the one caught a couple of small trout in the hour or so they hung around.

If you would have traveled another bit down that road by the Green River up towards the lakes the views would have gone from great to amazing. Squaretop mountain becomes the backdrop as you travel around the slow bend in the road. Large herds of pronghorn, a moose or 2 up at the lakes, and the occasional bear.

Good to know. That area had some great scenery. One of my favorite states for that reason. That... and the low population!
