Early Morning Walk In My Deep Woods So Beautiful Here In Ga. 

OK, Sweet Helen.. I scanned through the comments on here. Here are some of the suggestions the group came up with for your next hike: Wear a bright orange vest, wear snake-proof boots, put a whistle around your neck, bring a dog, bring a friend, make sure someone knows where you are, pack some snacks and water for the hike, bring spray paint for something (I didn't catch what the paint is for), bring ribbon to tie on branches, bring some bear spray, and somebody mentioned a chainsaw somewhere or another, oh.. and pick some mushrooms for a future craft. LOL... You can tell by the comments how much the group loves you!!! 🥰

Yes, I agree with others comment, I hope you have your cell phone with you and a bottle of water. I know it’s a lot to carry with the camera and maneuvering and climbing but you really should have those things with you. In a pocket maybe. Thank you for this walk in the woods. I love mushrooms too..they are one of my favorite things.. you’re just so much like me only a little bit older. I don’t get to go like I would like to. I live in the suburbs of Southern California. I belong to a camping group and have a little 10’ travel trailer..but it just hasn’t been a good choice for me to go do those things with Covid being such an issue. That was an enjoyable walk.... Had many us wondering if you would make it back out and then realized you posted video so you were okay... :) How far back does your property go....? Did you have your phone on you ? Glad you didn't see any bears or snakes... Next time tie some yellow ribbons on branches to mark your path... One good thing about your woods... No person can sneak up on you from behind in the dark.... They would trip over the logs, strangle themselves on the vines or rip their skin on the thorns... Your a real trooper.... Hello Helen! Thank you so much for this walk, you're such an inspiration! You always notice nice things around you, all the beautiful trees and mushrooms, pretty moss and old logs, it's so precious! I'm currently stuck in another lockdown in a big city, sitting in front of my computer all the time and I can't go out to walk in the woods just like that, so your videos are truly my remedy for the soul. I miss the woods a lot, I feel like I've lost my connection to Mother Nature in the past couple of years not being able to travel and go out at all, your positive energy always helps me out a lot. Thank you so so much! Please be careful in the woods though, stay near your known paths, you really don't need to wander off this far from home. Stay safe! ♥

Helen, you should buy a chain saw if you don’t have one and have your grandson cut up some of those deadwood logs for the fire. If you don’t have a fireplace or wood stove you can sell the wood. Just an idea. An hour a week on a week he’s not working can even make a difference. God bless you.

Oh my goodness dear lady, PLEASE take a can of bear spray with you when you go to your woods. Its not just the chance that you could startle a bear, its the possibility that you could run into coyotes that worries me. You might want to consider taking a stout walking stick with you on your walks, and a whistle on a string around your neck is a good noisemaker, which you might need one day--and some kind of spray, like bear spray, is good to have handy. That way, when you are communing with your woods you will be safe. I know I sound like an old fuss pot but I love the woods too, and I also know the bush has it's perils. Up here in Canada we have lots of woods. Only a few year ago a young woman hiking in Nova Scotia was killed by a pack of coyotes, so I felt compelled to write this to you. Anyway, thank you for taking us with your on your morning walk.

You had me lecturing you almost the whole way back...so if we don't hear from you in a couple of weeks..do we have to search your woods ??... I was raised in the woods and on a farm..North Florida and South Georgia...we're Native American and Scottish...the woods are in our blood and there are tricks to keep from getting lost...I'll admit..you did find your way out..but it could be easier... Thank you for the walk in the woods and I wish some of those men-folk would do some forest management to clear out the dead and fallen trees...your forest would appreciate their work and be healthier for it... Good morning, Ms. Helen! I so enjoyed the walk in the woods because where I live the woods are all private property and I do not have my own. The mushrooms fascinate me. When I was in about grade 7 or 8 I did a science project on mushrooms and made it all the way to state. Where I grew up there were woods and my science teacher took me searching for all the different types we could find. You brought back that good memory for me. You are always such a fun and delightful person to watch. And definitely a blessing to me so thank you. Glad you made it back safely. Talk about a work out though. I enjoy this walk very much Sweet Helen. I also love trees, flowers, sunshine. The best thing I know it’s to just sit in a quiet place, listening to the wind in the canapés and the birds. And if there’s a waterfall or a creek somewhere so I can hear the water it’s a bonus. There is no music more beautiful then the sound of Mother Nature.

I love walking in the woods, God has given us such a beautiful world hasn't he! I bet your friend that works on the lawnmower can run a path with the bush hog for you. That's what my husband does, he just takes the tractor thru once in the late Spring. We walk in the woods atleast once a week.

I have woods on my property. Actually mountains. I was raised to be comfortable in the woods but I have to tell you I was upset throughout the entire video. My mom is gone but if she were around and took off in the woods like that she'd hear it from me. Although she was a very strong God fearing woman. Raised her 10 kids and several grandchildren. Love walking in the woods with you! ♥️ Im gonna chip in my thoughts with everyone else, comes from experience being out in the woods by myself 👍🏼 Wear boots (with high tops) these can protect you from bites, keep you sturdy, but also help stabilize your feet and ankles in the case of twisting and spraining or breaking your ankles or feet. Also, always being water, a cellphone and a whistle. I'd pack a small pack if it were me because as you say, you're alone out there and no one checks in on you everyday. Accidents are always unexpected, sudden and catch us by surprise. It's dismaying to find ourselves disabled and stuck with out help. You bring us so much joy!!

Ms. Helen, I enjoyed watching your walk through your deep woods. I have deep woods too but I would always get turned around and not sure which way to go. So I bought a can of spray paint for putting on trees and marked with Red paint on the Right side of the path every so often, but within view to the next marked one. I knew if I got back to the creek, I could get home by seeing the Red Ring around the trees on the Left. It helps me so much when riding my horse in my deep woods that I get to do about every other year it seems. Be careful out there and have a glorious day.

Love your walking tour. It’s beautiful. You need someone to come move trees branches so you have a safe walking path. Not necessarily take away the downed trees but cut enough and move them so you can safely walk through your forest.

Ms. Helen how you can walk through downed trees from storms but focus on the beauty of the sunlight filtering through the standing tree tops is priceless. I worry about you though either getting snake bit or a case of poison ivy. You are one fearless lady!

Miss Helen in my yard I have got three trees that's over 300 years old is there so beautiful when we was looking for a home to buy that was the place that I chose because of the trees not for the house I fell in love with the trees
