Hi Bill (got your name from on of the other comments). I am a sea angler myself, and am hooked on (excuse the pun) watching fishing RU-vid videos and came across this video. I must say, you have got it absolutely right my friend........we are so engrossed in the hustle and bustle of life, constantly chasing our tails and reaching for the impossible. It is so nice to see someone like your good self stop, sit down and enjoy a moment eating a portion of fish and chips and a can of pop in a location where the scenery gives you a sense of pleasure and calm. It's seeing things like this that makes one stop and think.......life is too short, we need to stop, forget everything and just enjoy the moment, be it even for a short while. I have subscribed to your channel in the hope that you may do some more sea angling videos as I have noticed most of your videos are on coarse fishing. Tight lines.👍

Hi Bill, You can't beat Fish and Chips whilst Fishing. I usually have mine after a long Sea Fishing session sat by the Sea. Sheer Bliss. Whilst the food may not be the healthiest, the pleasure of eating it after a hard days Fishing is great for the soul so in some ways it does you good. Great to see you back on the Beach Bill. Steve in Fife.

Stevie D Hi properly cooked fish n’ chips is food for the soul when eaten outside. I prefer to eat before fishing as I don’t like the smell of fish slime,worm guts and squid on my hands! I will go back and hopefully catch some fish as this time the weed was not like anything I’ve encountered on this beach before! Selsey yes but not here. Tight Lines

Martin Stevenson Hi I certainly enjoyed the fish but the gulls had most of the chips! But it was really nice to sit on the beach on a beautiful afternoon looking out to sea. It’s a shame the weed spoiled the fishing but I will return with, hopefully, some fish to show for my efforts! Tight Lines

👍👍 Hello Bill, awesome video. I'm envious of your real fish and chips. Nothing in the States compares to the real thing you have. Great tackle and very nice explanation of your rigs. I'm sorry you were blanked but the worst day fishing beats the best day at work everytime. I really enjoyed your views of the surrounding area. Thanks for sharing.

p2g1949 Hi glad you enjoyed that. Try your own fish fillets battered. Batter is easy, one egg,half pint of milk,4 ozs plain flour and a pinch of salt. Dip fillets in flour and fry in hot oil until crispy yummy Tight Lines

Easy Fishing Thanks for the recipe! I know one should use an ocean fish for fish and chips but this week I'm taking my 12 year old grandson fishing for bluegills and sunfish, if we get enough I'm trying your recipe. Thanks for your response. cya Phil

p2g1949 Hi well I hope you enjoy fishing with your grandson and hope he can catch a few fish as well. A quick tip, when you make the batter it should not be to runny so it can stick to the floured fish fillets and I’m sure you and your grandson will enjoy them, have fun Tight Lines

Hi Bill Great vid. I've got a fladen freespool power reel 50 and an ngt eleven foot bass and pier rod. What line do you recommend. I'm thinking twenty pounds line. Thank-you
@easyfishing1936
@easyfishing1936 5 лет назад
Riot Shield Hi sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Line I would recommend would be 15 lb bs, about 0.35 mm diameter with a shockleader if you are casting more than a 3 oz or 90 gram lead. If you are only lobbing about 30 to 40 yards you don’t need a shockleader but if you are casting a heavier lead or going for distance you MUST use a shockleader. That is a length of stronger line of between 40 to 60 lb bs to take the force of casting, Bill

hi bill, i dont know if youve seen the angling times catch 22 challenge? it might be a fun series for you to do on the channel, basically it is to catch 22 species of fish in the UK and you have until the end of the river season. its been running a month now i think im on 12 species. anyway there are also 5 saltwater species on the list, iv only been fishing just over a year so have never tried fishing in the sea. this year ill be trying the yorkshire coast twice and the north welsh coast once. im big into lure fishing so ill be taking my lure rod but i also want to try bait fishing. so this film will be a great help cheers, i think you also did a sea fishing film with a float ill have to give that a try
@easyfishing1936
@easyfishing1936 6 лет назад
BUSHCRAPPING Hi well I won’t have time to do that challenge, fun though it would be. Try sea fishing with freshwater float tackle that can be great fun. mackerel, garfish and especially Mullet on light float tackle give a fight out of all proportion to their size!! Tight Lines
@BUSHCRAPPING
@BUSHCRAPPING 6 лет назад
thanks for the reply, iv done a bit of noseying about and i think a float rig will be a great idea, this might sound stupid but how deep should i set the float? i have a good working knowledge of freshwater tactics but no idea in the salt should i try half the depth of the sea bed? and then adjust for the depth that get the best bites? ill be fishing in and around the harbour walls. i may put out a light rod ledger rod for blennies and such and also a heavier ledger rod on the harbour boat channel as iv heard this is good for the flat fish. probably buy some ragworm when im there, ill ask at the tackle shop but how much would you recommend for 3-4hrs? is there any other baits i should take? sorry for all the questions, i live in the centre of england so the coast is a long way
@easyfishing1936
@easyfishing1936 6 лет назад
BUSHCRAPPING Hi questions are not a problem and I live in Bedfordshire so I know about mileage! Well bait wise a frozen mackerel about 4 ozs of ragworm and maybe a small squid would be adequate. Bring a bucket of groundbait, bread mash with minced or finely chopped fish maybe some micro pellets or fish oil to increase attraction. This will increase your chances greatly of catching just throw small balls at your float frequently depending on conditions. Using something like a small sliding pike float or big waggler with a hook of about size 8 with small baits, bits of ragworm small fish or squid strips, start about 5 ft deep and vary the depth until you find the fish anywhere between the bottom to &2 ft deep. Keep the groundbait going in small amounts. Hope you catch please let me know. Tight Lines

Tony Napoli Hi well I didn’t want grease on the camera so I was being ‘posh’ but you are right eaten with the fingers out of newspaper is the best! That’s not my big guns I was using just the average beach gear, but I don’t think it would have mattered what I was using I think the end result would have been the same! But I will be back!!
