37:19 is where I would nope right out. Up to that point, it's still unnerving but pretty hospitable. After that point: terrifying. Thank you very much for posting these videos; I've seen them all now and this is my second go through. Fascinating.
there are zero signs in the trail how do you know which way is the correct I would have gone straight for example in 8.39 instead of turning left to the bridge
Fico me perguntando o motivo das garotas holandesas terem ido tão longe no trajeto.
When you record the surroundings from this low, it's really hard to distinguish the places that we saw in the photos of Kris and Lisanne's camera and original sounds are always better at capturing the place.
Now i understand when people said that the beginning of rail goes by people´s backyards, so it must be that girls are behind the summit. What camera do you use?
Have you ever visited Ahuchapan, El Salvador? I’d love to see more videos from there, my oldest’s fathers family is from there and we are in Ontario, Canada.
Absolutely gorgeous trail. But it looks like a steep incline already? I find it hard to believe a couple of novice hikers would've made it to the Mirador in what...just under a couple hours? With all those rocks?
Muita gente envolvida nesse caso. O guia culpa no "cartório".
Even this first stage is a lot more rock-strewn than I had been led to believe. I can see how anyone might take a tumble at any point here and turn an ankle.
I just dont see two girls going miles in to the jungle after summiting the mountain by themselves. A local was involved, someone they felt they could trust. Theres no way they would go past the summit on their own i cant buy it
@@2147B neither can I. They weren't adrenaline junkies nor were they irresponsible. Something happened shortly after photo 507. I don't believe they made any of those calls to the police from there onwards and they certainly didn't take any of the night-time photos. The killer(s) did all that to muddy the waters. And, oh boy, look how well it's worked.
Their mistake is that when they got to the end of the pianist a trail they left it and ventured off into the jungle and crossed the Continental divide. That created a whole new ball game for the two girls that they were not prepared for. They didn’t have a Compass. They didn’t have emergency flares. They didn’t have loud shrill whistles. They didn’t have emergency supplies. They created their own death trap and suffered horribly for it. May they rest in peace
@@jamesbennett9620As a matter of fact they did have a compass on their cellphones (iPhone 4 and Samung Galaxy) which work off-line without internet connection. They just need to open the standard app and follow the arrow of the compass to the south where Bouqete is located. Lisanne took a map as well. That is why it is weird that they could get lost.
My observations: 1. You are in remarkable shape since you never took one deep breath, 2. The same birds followed you the whole way, good training, 3. The trail is too easy to follow, absolutely no need for a guide, 4. the one time you turned around, we couldn't see Boquete, shameful.
I looked very carefully their photos.. And my conclusion is there😢 Its a mix of photos, with bad quality. Pictures are not all. They r cutted, probably by police. There r some important details which are hidden by green 🟢painting. Girls were accompanied by someone. Kriss was under drugs..simply judging by her face expression😢 They were attacked in baranco.. I see a raping of one of the girls. (It can b Lisan or another brunette girl) At the left top of the picture 2 men raping a girl. On a trail i also noticed human skulls.. After that pic lisan disappeared😢 Kriss allready was taken aback by her kidnepers 😢 A picture with kris 😢a last one. There kriss staying in a strange pose. I see a rope on her neck. Her hands tighted at the back. I see masks in blue 🔵colors (human face with horns) handmade wooden idols.. Little black african people with with strokes.. On the right side pigmey eating a human flash, there is a corpose of a man hanging on a tree.. This murder was a human sacrifice by cannibal tribe. I see a bronette girl sitting on a roof of the strange cave. Her legs are partly eaten. She is died. There is a sharp stick in her head. I see skulls, faces African faces, and white faces.. Probably girls were in captivoty with other people. They can keep them in a well. From which was difficult to get out.. A lot of skulls.. Flesh, blood on the ground😢 I saw several pictures with pigmay signs , wooden made idols.. This tribe live deeply in the jugle men, women, kids Little sized with white ⚪strokes of pain on a chest But the question is how girls managed to get in their captivity😢
So if they did the hike, I don't think they would have been lost (it's not like they went first time hiking. And idk how it is where you live, but in Austria, Germany, Netherland, Europe in general you learn to go hiking pretty early and we do it often. For me it's nothing special and I don't even enjoy it that much. Of course not everyone is the same but for my understanding they enjoyed it and one of them was even pretty experienced.) So I belive the 2 girls did know how to hike and what they can do and what not. That's why I believe, if they did the hike: they knew when to return, what to do in emergency and I don't believe they would have gone lost. What I rather much believe is that they 1 never went because one was sick and it was already pretty late and they wandered of in the city and to the entrance but never further into the trail and someone did something. Or someone did something along the trail. I can't imagine that they wandered of into the jungle and got lost just for fun. Everyone even says they were pretty smart and didn't take risks or did stupid things. So I can't imagine. Like I said. I am from Austria and went even with school a million times hiking. And I would not say that I am the most orientated person but I watched the videos and I would say that I don't believe I would have gone lost even with that age. No, especially in that age. Because you do many hikings in that age + i don't think they got injured and NO-ONE found them. If they would have gotten injured they would have screamed for help and someone WOULD HAVE FOUND THEM in all that searching etc. So maybe someone found them.... But not someone who wanted to help.
Okay and I will comment on where I think I would get lost. And even where I wouldn't walk right now (I have problems with my ankles at the moment) and this video is for sure nothing wild. I walk similar paths at home and I don't consider that hiking. It's more like I go for a walk. I thought I am really bad at hiking and don't have any condition (in comparison with friends it's true) but with y'all comments I think I might be better than I thought at hiking.
I have been working in the rainforests of Brasil for 27 years. With all due respect, you are underestimating this type of forest... Even more so considering that they were on the trail for the first time, without a guide, without GPS, with little water, clothes and food. Altitude, fog, heat, double paths only seen on the way back, darkness of the rainforest, a trail exit for whatever reason and you get lost... Happened to me several times... Even recently... After 27 years of experience...
