You lead him to believe that you were going to violate the rental agreement. He would be fired if you broke the rental agreement and he had prior knowledge of you doing this. He’s completely right.
@@mikeyogbechie5421 That is what we call a bribe and that employee would've landed in even hotter water if he took it. Let alone giving them the keys to the car after they violated the rental agreement. Sit down kiddo. Adults are talking.

If he knowingly rents to someone who is going to allow a renter who does not qualify to drive that car will indeed get him fired. He has to protect his business.
Lmao. I am COMPLETELY SATISFIED with his service. Somebody got to deliver the bad news. Great job, Guy! Sorry they didn’t get the rental, but not everyone qualifies to drive someone else’s $20,000 investment. It is private property. Note to all: don’t lie and pay your bills, you’ll be able to rent.
I work at a rental company and unfortunately he was in the right. If you all had just be quiet and listened I’m sure it could have been resolved. He was very patient with you all
It's called being a paying customer. Customers have entitlements. Entitlements such as being allowed to change their minds at any time they so wish. They hadn't dishonoured any agreements, so therefore there was no reason to deny them service. The customer is king in ANY business relationship. If you work in customer service, then there's a problem if you haven't been taught that fundamental principle.
They're lending you a 20k to 30k vehicle for a 300 deposit and your card declines. If the vehicle is returned damaged it comes out of their pay. No, they arent going to give you the car. Any business has a right to refuse service, stop being entitled.
@@sulaimanali2723 As a former manager of a rental company, this is 100% true. If the vehicle is stolen or comes back with damage and the employee fails to catch it, it comes out of the branch's profits. If you are a manager, it comes out of your paycheck as well. This is why rental companies are so strict with underwriting. As much as they want to rent vehicles and make money, they want to protect the money they have already earned.

The guy at counter never loses control and never talk to them with bad attitude, he is in the correct order and following rental agreement policies and terms. The rest of the story is by your own.
I worked for enterprise customer service and what I know in this case is that they're probably not getting the car cause they are not in the Do- not-Rent List, so Enterprise wont ever rent them a car in a lifetime.
He handled this sooo well and even gave them the policy that states, they already insinuated false intentions in retaining the rental. That alone shulda shut em up. Cant take it back 😊
Mikey Ogbechie after literally making it known that they planned on violating the contract to get out of the young driver fee. I’m glad the employee handled it the way he did. Good on him.

Yeah corporate didnt help you because you were wrong. Clearly. If she’s not authorized to drive, and he believes that that is what would happen.. he and enterprise.. has every right not to rent to you. You’re renting a $20-30k minimum. I can’t stand that people can’t seem to understand that that is a huge liability to a company. Not to mention, Enterprise is privately owned. So they can literally do whatever they want with.
Current employee:The company policy is that whoever is paying for it is the only driver of the vehicle unless it is their spouse. looking for loopholes doesn't work. This cxr did a great job.
Just shit starters. U lead him to believe that there were going to be multiple drivers while only paying for one. This guy was using his best judgment. Try that shit on a lower level car rental place not Enterprise which is the best in the business.

Yeah once you said she was gonna drive and not you that’s enough for them to deny you the rental because of the risk factor associated with; it’s in the rental agreement
Enterprise is making false accusation of vehicle damages. Do not rent from Enterpise. I currently have that issue. Make sure to talke pictures and video of the car when you return it. I will make it my life goal to paste this all over the internet. You have been warned.
That's not a violation until they actually violate the contract. Wtf? Y'all are ridiculous. I was a branch manager for 4 years and an area manager for 2.

@@gtrour4 yea but as someone who literally works at Enterprise, we call the customers the RENTERS, so don’t come at someone sideways for correcting the terminology of the job THEY DO
So what exactly happened here? Is it that whoever pays for the rental must be the driver, and her credit card was rejected? And then he attempted to use his credit card, but they don’t allow a non-driver to pay for the rental?
The primary driver (the one signing the rental agreement) has to use a form of payment in their name. If someone else wants to pay for the rental then they must become the primary driver. That way if something happens to the vehicle the primary driver can be pursued.

Not racial profiling. Can you hear the accents? Do you know how many international travelers use Enterprise and how paperwork for renting could be different than with full citizens? Not everything is racists, bub.
What are the steps to verify who you are? A Manager put me on the no rent list because I replied “ my address is the same on my license” as he held my license-he may thought I was being smart but I don’t like yelp g my info for everyone strangers to here in the small lobby so I said it’s on the license. Is this right?
Wow. Terrible service. Not surprising, I just had an incident with enterprise trying to return a car they claimed had ashes in it, and I don't even smoke they were sooo rude I paid my bill, contacted the district office and got the rental car "on the house" due to their foul and wicked nature. I for one, will never rent there again.
Oh dear God! God help us this afternoon I tried to rent a car after having a gold loyalty membership with 1500 points thatthey refuse to rent me a car and wanted to see my power bill and my cable bill.this is after renting cars from them for over a year.or because I want to use a debit card I have no problem with them put in a deposit or a hold for a lot of money on my debit MC. I told when I told him it was too much personal information that they do not have and have entitlement to I left and I called the district manager here in Clearwater Florida he was awful I am vowing never to go back again and I’m going to be writing to the owner in Missouri
@@jeannestark6293 This is standard practice in the industry. Frankly, I'm amazed they even allow debit card rentals anymore these days due to the high risk involved. The reason rental companies ask for this type of info (pay stubs, power bills, credit checks, etc) is for proof of address so they know with a reasonable certainty that the car will return and they will get paid. They don't have to worry about it when a credit card is used because the balance can be sent to collections which can then negatively affect your credit.
@@jeannestark6293 if the location can't verify your address on their system and you're paying with a debit card, they will ask for a pay stub + bill that shows your address. This is normal practice. You're acting like cars are cheap

Enterprise is making it seem like deer vehicles are brand new from the dealership. Those cars and trucks are all used. Other people had them more people had them they have high mileage. The gas prices are high. Their rates are too high too many fees and penalties just a word of advice, drive your own vehicles, and leave their vehicles alone they don’t need no more business they don’t know how to treat the customer.

This guy now works at the Ocala airport and he did the same bullshit to me and made false accusations saying I was trying to get employees to break policy his name is Winston
Enterprise picks and chooses who drives which cars due to liability, look up the many cases of discrimination enterprise has had with assigning cars to certain people based on their color of skin... honestly sad that the company cant afford to trust its customers more I for sure wont be using them ever.
This is BS...they made it known that they were going to violate the contract. I would have done the same. They are releasing assets worth 10’s of thousands of dollars. There is no reason to be dealing with customers whom are trying to break the rules and then turn around once they get caught.
