I walked into GuitarCenter a couple of months ago, thinking about an American strat or an EBMM Axis. Saw this guitar in the Trans Buttermilk finish, played it for half an hour or so and bought it no questions asked. I didn't realize it had anything to do with maroon 5 until i'd had it for a couple of days. Regardless, a really fun and beautiful guitar, the roasted neck just wants to be touched all day and night. Great job to JV, EBMM and especially Cooper for this stellar demo video. Props

Nice chops my man. I was at a Guitar Denter the other day and they had a used Sterling Valentine hanging on the wall. For what it was I was most impressed. I have my eyes open for a EBMM.

Grabbed one of these at my local guit fiddle emporium. They keep these behind the counter cause they are not toys . These have a very solid and precise feel. Like a pro grade instrument from any field or trade should have. Reminded me of a Tom Anderson. Very buttery neck They sound fantastic too. Great snap and clarity . A bit too expensive for me, but probably worth it. Great demo and playing Cooper

Question: Do you always tune down 1/2 step or was there a particular reason you decided to in this vid?

Hey, Cooper! I think you might have mistaken the coil split for coil tap, as tapping the coil changes the amount of winds around it. :)

Great review! I love my satin natural Valentine!! I will disagree with you on the 'any gig outside of metal' thing.. I'm using mine for proggy metal stuff and it's glorious. The pickups deliver whatever I ask of them. I'm looking to add a JP15 or JP16 to my collection after this one (first EBMM) and, since you would know, is it a really drastic change from a JP to a Valentine? I think they offset each other excellently, but I'm afraid of them feeling totally alien when changing

The demo is always excellent, love Coopers approach and awesome guitar skills. In saying that, I played two separate models of the Valentine, and sorry, not impressed with anything it offered. I had a chance to play each for over an hour or so, and just jammed out. I also was playing the EB majesty, JP6 and the St Vincent. Those guitars soared and just played so much better. To each their own. Just my experience. I didn't like the neck, it was a cross between thickness of a strat and a trad LP. Which I don't care for either. Not a fan on this model. Sorry.
