I hate this idea that setting up deadly traps isn't homicide. Someone got themselves killed trying to escape your trap trying to kill them. It's like saying that someone jumping out of a window and dying from impact is suicide and you're not at fault for chasing them and trying to kill them because they "tEcHnIcAlLy KiLlEd ThEmSeLvEs"
@3sellers3ful
@3sellers3ful 5 месяцев назад
@Kefka2010 there's actually legal precedent to support the idea that traps or unusual or dangerous means to defend your home are very illegal. A farmer who had a second house that he used for storage was having frequent break-ins at this storage house, so he set all kinds of home alone type traps, including a shotgun at waist level in a doorway. I think you see where this is going. The farmer lost the case and had to pay the med bill. It's a very interesting case that sets legal precedent that under the law as we know it today Jigsaw would definitely be a murderer. No technically he's a murderer business, he's a killer

I get the full story of films I’ll never watch. If you’ve never checked out his channel, I highly suggest it. I said never watch but that’s not entirely true. I’ve actually sought out a few films because of the kill count. It is sort of explained in Saw 5 that he takes a drug to slow his heart rate and breathing for the duration so he would appear dead, something like that would likely also suppress any need to cough. When you watch them back to back, you can see the differences pretty easily. *** MINIOR SPOILERS RELATING TO THE MUSIC/SOUND EFFECTS*** The evolution of the score with in the movie, is interesting to pay attention to. Side note, a good drinking game, would be to drink every time you hear, "chi chi chi, ha,ha,ha". It has to be the second movie, though. They REALLY go overboard with that sound, if you watch the remake, you will only drink once, and it's at an awesome spot.

12:00 How is that trap not fair at all? That is quite literally the easiest trap in all of saw. You only have to hold one entrance open with one hand while you move your other hand through it. The only part I could see not being fair is that when she grabs it and picks it up it spills, but I’m pretty confident that could be solved. I guess the problem would be not knowing.

The original saga is a 7-movie long, low budget soap opera featuring some psychological thrills, an overarching murder mystery, villains with god complex, and gory body horror brought to life by music video filters and epilepsy inducing editing. And that's why we love it. Its ironic how the more "professional" last two movies are the least talked about among the fanbase.

Strangely enough when I watched the first Saw movie my immediate reaction to the “dead” guy was the thought that something important had to be inside of his body and that the smart thing to do would be to cut him open in search of clues. I would have inadvertently killed the main villain the the first five minutes and I find that hilarious.

Nothing in these movies makes any sense what so ever. His whole thing is suppose to be teaching people to appreciate life but all of the traps in every single movie would be counter to that lesson. They're all unfair and unwinnable. You will either die in which case you can't appreciate life if you no longer have one. Alternatively if you survive you'll be horribly disfigured do to the horrific ways in which it might be possible to technically survive but there is a huge difference between surviving and living. Basically surviving any of the traps in these movies is actually worse than getting killed which means you'd still never learn to appreciate life regardless of what happens at the end of the game. They try to play it like the real Jigsaws games were actually fair and his copy cats some how weren't but really none of the games were ever fair. A truly fair game that might actually teach the victim to appreciate life would give them a chance to escape with all of their body parts intact. Also it's questionable how any of the traps were ever set up in the first place. I mean the first movie doesn't require that much planning but the sequels get more and more elaborate and also often require multiple different traps all being set up at the same time. The fact that it's revealed so many people were working with Jigsaw kind of explains how they can set up so many different traps all at the same time cause one guy would never be able to do all of this, but it doesn't explain how no one ever notices the traps being set up. Especially that one that was set up in a very public place which would of had to of been set up in full view of the public because there's no way an elaborate death trap was put up over night in a public place no matter how many people Jigsaw had to help him. Anyway... given how none of this actually makes any sense I'm fully convinced that these movies always start with the props department making elaborate death traps and then the movie is written around the set pieces rather than writing an actual plot first and building the set pieces to fit what's needed for the story. That's really the only way these movies make sense is that they're basically just there to justify the existence of some scary looking props someone constructed for no particular reason. The thing that scares me the most about these movies is that Jigsaw isn't some possessed doll or monster that keeps magically coming back from the dead whenever they need to make a sequel, he's a normal every day guy... which means someone in real life could potentially try to copy these movies and if I ever wake up in some elaborate death trap I'm not going to try to escape. I'm going to be looking for the quickest most painless way to kill myself which shouldn't be too hard considering most of these death traps would have painlessly killed their victims instantly anyway if they hadn't tried to escape. The trying to escape part just made their last few minutes alive a lot more painful before they would eventually die anyway failing to beat the clock. That's another thing I don't understand... in a fair game it needs to actually be possible to figure out a solution and execute that solution in the set time limit. They generally figure out the time limit by beta testing with several different players completing the same game. But they never use the same trap twice so there's no real chance of working out exactly how long it would take an average person to figure out the trap. Each trap is uniquely built for a specific person. That would seem to indicate that Jigsaw already had some idea of the victim's ability to complete the task in a timely manner and intentionally set the time limit making it impossible for them to survive. So he DID kill people because no one in any of these movies chose to kill themselves, they all try to escape and only die because they couldn't beat that damn clock. I think you could only make the case that they killed themselves if they died before their timer ran out or they made zero effort to escape the trap. As long as they made an effort to escape and the trap still killed them then whoever set up the trap is still responsible for their death. Why are there so many of these damn movies? Can we reboot this franchise and start again except this time write the story first instead of building the props first and trying to make a story fit around that.
