In this video we return to a familiar format on this channel. In style similar to the "how to beat" videos, we will take a look at the Saw video game that was released in 2009. #horror
I mean, in a way it depends on how you interpret his claim. We can infer that he means he has never directly, point A to point B, ended another person's life (like by stabbing, shooting, etc). The way he sees it, he puts them in his games, which are "fair" (I'd use the term "winnable" personally) and can be escaped with your life intact. But most people see that exact scenario and say putting someone in a death trap, even an escapable one, is no different than putting a gun to their head and pulling the trigger. They really aren't the same, there are plenty of differences you could point out between the two situations, and the main one is that technically BECAUSE all of John's games are winnable, and he doesn't interfere, it's purely the actions of the person in the game that lead to their deaths. If it's their actions that lead to them escaping, I find it a logical anomaly to say it's John's actions that would lead to them dying if they fail to escape. I'm not saying what he did was right, I'm just saying that by my personal interpretation of what he said, I agree that John is indeed not a murderer - he's just an engineer with a screw loose that doesn't realize how fucked up his own sense of morality has become.
@@lykonic1763 Well, maybe he was really just trying to make a point. Like, yeah, death traps and all, but in his twisted machiavellian journey of vengeance against all he deems wrong, the people he submits to his games of blood soaked righteousness are already dead in a way, and promiscuously thirst for meaning in their lives. TL,DR: If in Kramer's eyes, bad people are the mental illness, he's trying to cure it with shock therapy.
no it doesnt depend on any interpretation. John is a murderer and would be sentenced as guilty of murder in literally every stable country with a legal system in the world
I cant believe there was a time in my life where I was so fascinated by Saw especially the traps that are involved in the games. Not even Kramer's philosophy, but the way every participant die on each game. I even had an entire notebook full of drawings of Saw traps that and also tried to replicate each trap with the things around me. Just thinking of it now, I realize its kinda creepy in some way especially for a primary school kid.
Well his reason to be tested is different then how you explained jigsaw knew tapps obsession with catching him not just got steven killed but it also destroyed him mentally and its robbed him of his life and got laid off by the station
The only thing I have to say is that the pendulum trap is from the intro to Saw 5, so assuming the game was inspired by the movie and not the other way around, that means there were at least two whole movies that were out by the time the game was being developed that surpass everything with Amanda. In other words, unless the devs skipped over Saw 3 exactly, they know exactly who she is and what she's done, so expect her to come back in a big way I guess lol.
Even if this guy is known only as the "how to beat saw" guy, i am a total fan of all his videos. Amazing youtuber, super consistent. I love coming back every few months and binging the videos he's uploaded XD
Hope you continue this and other "How to beat, Videogame Edition" videos. I don't know if you have heard of Cry of Fear, you could give it a try on this format or your more Essay-like ones
The scariest thing about this game is finding out the person who voiced Amanda in this video game is the same person who voiced Princess Peach and Toad in GameCube Era Mario.
I'm so glad you called John out for being a killer. Throughout the years the Saw Reddit has been swearing that he isn't one. I will never understand this mentality.
loved this video! also OH MAN ill never forget flipping my shit out at the trap at 9:00 because Adam's last name is Faulkner and I was sure that was a nod to him....maybe Arney is his triplet brother LOL
As far as I can tell, a quick google search, this game started development around the same time as Saw 3, so they definitely knew Amanda was one of the killers.
4:16 something he could do is just take the needle’s out of the toilet until he gets the fuse. It won’t hurt as much and is not very time consuming. Same goes with this barbed wire trap 9:07
Hello, can you tell me which grahpical options there are? What is the highest adjustable resolution? I want to know if there is graphical advantage for the pc version in comparison to consoles.
1:41 This phrase is the equivalent of saying "I didn't slap you, my hand did." (Plus jigsaw blaming Tapp for his partner's death is no wonder Melissa kept putting all the blame on Tapp)
Why would they re-kidnap Amanda at the end? Once you're out of a trap, your game is done. Jigsaw wouldn't just go "I probably made that too easy for you, lemme try again".
5:51 I think that the reason that Tapp has to save Amanda is because she is related to his case, and by extension, his obsession with catching Jigsaw. Although Amanda IS working with Jigsaw as his apprentice, Tapp doesn’t know that. You might have a point about the devs not knowing that Amanda was going to be Jigsaw’s apprentice in the movies, but I always assumed that it was like Saw 2 where she was secretly working with Jigsaw while also being directly involved with the games. Therefore I think that the canonical explanation for Amanda’s presence is that she volunteered to participate in the trap as part of Detective Tapp’s test. She was acting like she had been taken and held against her will to fool Tapp into thinking she was just a helpless victim, but in reality she was part of Jigsaw’s master plan all along. At least that’s my takeaway from all this.
Honestly the whole "too good at your job" excuse makes far more sense for Tapp than for Carrie. She was just doing her job but Tapp was BEYOND obsessed with Jigsaw. Still doesn't make sense how he survived that gunshot wound he got but this game was good af
I really liked shotgun doors in this game and it has pretty gorey death scene if failed they didn't have shotgun doors in movies but would have loved to see them in movies
This game did come out after we viewers already knew Amanda was a Jigsaw apprentice, but obviously she wasn’t known to be that by the police. This is also why Amanda is “abducted” and taken offscreen after you free her. Is this trap actually endangering her, though? I believe this is said to happen between 1 and 2, so… maybe she wasn’t recruited yet? It’s ambiguous.
i think it’s utterly stupid that most people aren’t even risking to curse now in their videos when big shocker this isn’t yutube kids if yutube really has a problem with people cursing they need to shut the f..k up about this restriction crap and save the non cursing rules for yutube kids because as an adult myself i have every right to curse so if yutube keeps restricting crap like this people are gonna stop using yutube altogether as this is utterly r.tarded no offense but anyways awesome video keep up the good work my friend
I love when people bring up "bro. Kramer. Stop bullshitting. Thats not a good excuse compared to your rest" or "how are you gonna say you didn't fuckin kill him" when its like, i get this is s movie but like... just like his cancer proved, hes not some immortal always following the 1 way of being right. He's 100% a "to my convinience" bullshit human with selfish flaws. It feels more... "authentic"? That He's just doing whatever the fuck he ended up feeling like, going with a bit of a theme
I didn't realize this game was rare now. I actually own a copy of this and its sequel for PS3. Physical copies. Did a let's play of the first one. It was very dated and hard to go back to. Kept pissing me off 😅 I also have the platinum trophy in both games
