The thing about being able to ignore emotions during stress or work, this is so true, the problem to me accurs when im finally done with a big project or have nothing to study, i end up telling myself i wanna work out or study other stuff but i end up staying up late and getting back to some old habits untill im forced to work again. I just feel awful when im not being productive, and yet i cant help but become lazy cause mama te isnt аs strong, yet i feel awful because all of my feelings hit me in the face, i need a month before i can finally actually relax and "live life" and appreciate my fi values, sometimes i feel like a total robot and so do my loved ones, its so hard realising that im pushing everyone away and i cant control myself.

I worked for a company for 6 years and I only made one friend, she's an ESFP. She told me something that blew my mind and once I shifted my mindset to align with hers, it improved every aspect of my life. She told me that being social and getting to know my coworkers is part of the job. It's not extra work, and it's not going outside the scope of the role, being social IS the job. Work on yourself as much as you need but don't forget that making and fostering connections is part of being human. Make sure you prioritize being human. ✊ (and there's the Te aspect of it where you can outsource living life to the ones you trust because they'll most likely want to be active with you)

12:00 i totally understand that 😢 it only becomes obvious when we observe how Te dom generally treat everyone and how they treat you. They might scold you but then you see its their worry for you (yeah even the hurtful remarks and taunts) or offer to fix your problems... they might not console you but they never back off from giving a shoulder to cry on.... (saying that in context of an XSTJ)...
@MastermindTypology
@MastermindTypology 7 месяцев назад
very interesting take I agree with most points. Regarding the differences between Te doms and Te secondary here is what I have learned after years of observing, and interacting with Te doms in my life and being a Te secondary myself (INTJ). IxTJs in general are actually more prone producing high quality work. ExTJs produce a lot of work but are at risk of producing lower quality work since they dont take the time to check their work and be thorough. IxTJs tend to be more workaholics than ExTJs because Introversion in general tends to be more workaholic. Extroverts due to their need for social interaction are more prone to being distracted. Extroverts also can not concentrate on tasks as well as introverts. Proof of this is that many Te doms come off as introverts because in an attempt to be more productive they willfully adopt more introverted traits. The fact that ExTJs move towards introversion and away from extroversion to get more work done demonstrates the validity of this point. Both Te doms and secondary types are willing to scale to the top of Te mountains and then look for another one to scale the only difference is that ExTJs will rely more on the tribe to tell them which mountains to scale, while the IxTJs want to make that decision for themselves. Your last point is spot on about how Te doms are more stubborn and less willing to adopt other people's systems, whereas Te secondary is more open and actively seeks the advice of others on what systems they should adopt. Also, I am INTJ, and I also work even on vacation I see work as being fun :)
@justcallmejon22
@justcallmejon22 7 месяцев назад
I agree with your conclusions to an extent. I don't think the quality of work is type dependant as opposed to the individual. The person with more passion and experience on the project tends to produce higher quality regardless of their type and the quality of work is subjective. I also don't fully agree that the IxTJs are more of a workholic than the ExTJs because then we'll have to define the word. Networking and building an enviornment of success for the group is also working, the effort is just external to the product itself. So they're working on something that relates to the product but from a macro sense. I do agree that the introverts can focus longer on the project itself.

Same, the 2nd position of a function, is the most efficient in certain cases. They want to do the things so quickly, too quickly, and because of their Fi 4th, they miss a part of the judging informations, that it lead to make mistakes. (also because of their Si or Ni 7th trickster/blindspot)

24:00 low ne users do this as well, but when using maps. I used to be incredible with maps, and probably an underrated skill of mine, walking across the street. Situational awareness is oftentimes about Ne. However, this idea of ‘outsourcing’ or ‘using proxies’ is why people refer to a map, while i sometimes, very rarely disregard the map when i know there is a better way. The map for your reference is life, and also literal maps.

"... we have the ability to ignore high emotions, especially during time of stress". Well said. A day where nothing needs to be done or when it's "for relaxing", it feels terrible to not be productive or busy on something. It makes one restless, feel useless and with the urge to look for anything else. It's sad that I feel better at work where shit can be done, than when I am at home for cooldown.

It's intriguing to find insight about Ti in a Te video. I like you were able to distinguish that while Ti do see systems, they prioritize accuracy and optimization, and will only fix problems if it is truly necessary. I like this clear distinction. As a Te user, this is, of course, absurd to me. I don't wanna waste time optimizating something to the fullest when I had already set up a deadline that's necessary to accomplish first. 😅 I'm actually studying about Ti to get to know my Ti-dom friends. They have so much intricate knowledge filling in their heads and they use a lot of clauses like "it depends" during conversations in order to articulate those intellectual nuances. I'm also writing a character who's assigned as an INTP with cognitive functions completely different than my own, so a lot of mental gymnastics is required for this one. On a sidenote, I also like that you explained that just because someone is not a Te-user doesn't mean that they're doomed to be unable to complete tasks or whatever. I know a really healthy male ISFJ who's more diligent than me and gets a lot of stuff done. His Si-routine and Ti-optimization motivated by Fe-encouragement causes him to trailblaze through work and life. Could've fooled me thinking he's an ENTJ or something, but he's way too friendly and charismatic to be one.

This was so helpful! I now have a better understanding of the conflict that led to the end of my relationship with my ISTP ex. Because he is Ti dom and I am a Te user (INTJ), I am trying to prevent issues from happening before the shit hits the fan, while he will wait for the train wreck to happen before he is willing to take action. So I jumped ship, out of the relationship, before the Titanic sank. From his point of view, I was being anxious over nothing and broke up with him out of the blue for "no reason". He is rooted in the present and I'm constantly projecting into the future. Ideally, we could have learned from each other and balanced each other out. I will keep this in mind in case I ever miraculously end up in another relationship.

I'm pretty sure critical thinking in high Te users is directly connected to the preferred introverted function in their type. Te is an extroverted function so it will only collect the information and has to outsource processing it to a percieving function. 1st or 2nd position Ni means Si is in 7th or 8th position in the stack for the type and vice versa. High Ni typically is described as critical, flexible and independent, and high Si prefers to trust traditions and authority.
@justcallmejon22
@justcallmejon22 7 месяцев назад
You're correct if we assume that cognitive functions itself can't operate without the help of other functions. We also have to assume based on your comment that each function is only influenced by a specific other function instead of the rest of the function stack. I'm not saying you're wrong because this is psychology which is difficult to 'prove' but I'm not saying it's 100% correct either. So...I agree 😂

Funnily enough 7:05, an entp also does this. An entp wants nothing more than to shut up. We debate however (or outright dispute/disregard) when we pick up on substantiation problems. We measure a theory by how much we can dispute it. If we talk alot, you know very little. If we listen alot, you know alot. If everything we throw against it fails, it must be true. However, this makes the entp also hard to deal with, because when you’re not completely an expert on your field, he will just start reading you a lesson on your own field. He can be very good at playing an away game. At home in fact, he might be relatively worse, but away games is where he excels at. Now, there is one exception. We study human behavior. Ne Ti Fe does that. However, we do not study systems. We study concepts. Our bias is looking at the root cause, over fixing what is already in place. Generally, it is good to look at what causes the problem over fixing the symptoms, but sometimes, fixing the symptoms is just faster. Also, systems in general we dislike. Just anti-explorative rational.

16:43 now the interesting part is, -sometimes ti users are lazy -sometimes te users are bossy Ti users complain te users are claiming they are lazy, when they’re helping Te users complain ti users are claiming they are bossy, when they’re helping You see the interesting thing… so they’re both not necessarily wrong. They could be bossy and they could be lazy. The question however becomes ‘why’. If you start dialogue, and you allow for discourse, you probably will get understanding. However, some systems are anti-discourse. Idealistically, i would as high ti user tell my boss i really don’t care about the company, and would rather quit because i think it doesn’t engage me enough, but i also need food. If you probably allow me to do inefficient research you probably get way more out of me, but why don’t you? Well… Te Ti trust is very different than Fe Fi trust. Intellectual property theft is like cheating. Why wouldn’t you steal my idea, and why wouldn’t i quit as soon as i figured shit out. The only answer to these questions is feeling. Trust needs to engage with both logic and feeling before it is true.

I understand what you're saying about understanding the 'why' and both being lazy and bossy can be true.....but! Understanding why doesn't fix the problem. You are one in the minority of Mbti content producers on RU-vid, who are actually accurate and thorough enough in detail what they say and are trying to convey in their content. You place extra care on your words about what you say and how you say it, to get your facts right. I don't have much, if anything, to critique in your content in general. I've known about Mbti and Jung's work over a decade and studied quite a lot of it. Like you said in another video, it highly bothers me as well when people take Mbti stereotypes and then present it as the only truth about the type, or worse, exaggerate the stereotype and then present it as the only truth. Sometimes it even resembles the straw man or reductio ad absurdum arguments in a sense how some types are presented; distorting the picture of a type out of proportions and then attacking the exaggeration, in an effort to make the type look ridiculous. I find that very repulsive, since there is something unique in every person and every type, and there is no need for such opposition in Mbti community. Presenting the stereotype as the only truth is incomplete and untrue; it is telling a one story and making it the only story. I think it is something Myers or Jung never intended themselves. It is always to remember, that type descriptions are more or less vague and do contain gradation and variability in a scale of how the type manifests in a personality. Also there are areas in human psyche which Mbti do not cover, so we are talking about only the areas of cognitive preferences which Mbti do cover - interestingly researched by Dr. Dario Nardi with his Pilot study, described in Neuroscience of Personality. That really should have a follow up, hopefully one day to replicate the results. The only thing I wanted to say about this video, is that systems thinking, or critical thinking skills, is not only for high Te-users. To be clear, you didn't say it was (!) - This is only for other viewers of the video for clarification. I think it is crucial for anyone and everyone to learn critical thinking skills, to a degree it is possible. Also, I'd say Ni-dom is always more or less a systems thinker; the exact reasons you gave on another video about Ni-doms. Everything you described on Ni-doms was very accurate on the other video, and the downside of inferior Se. I couldn't have said it better myself. I appreciated it as INFJ myself. INFJ's system may be more holistic than INTJs, but in general it is good to be aware of the gradation or the subset of type differences. A subset of INFJs will always think if something make logical sense before acting or doing anything, and follow and spot inconsistencies in someone else's speech or presentation. INFJ can be as obsessed with efficiency as INTJ, the only difference being that INFJ won't be as much fixed solving problems in real time as INTJ is. What I have observed so far is that at least a subset of Feelers will do their extensive research on a topic and learn critical thinking skills. They won't claim anything unless they know it to their bones what they are saying or won't resort to argumentation errors, any more or less than thinkers do. Also; when it comes to problem solving, a subset, or some individuals of Feelers, will not wait until the moment they "feel about it" to fix it. But I can agree that it is the sense of urgency which is the difference in that characterizes Te-doms and -aux users to others in this area. * * * You are very in touch with your Fi values and you are clearly very honest, and only care about what is true. It is clearly seen in your videos and just saying it's highly appreciated. Developing tertiary really sharp actually opens up another level to a person and adds lot more depth, and sometimes a whole new chapter to anything they do. Unfortunately I can't say the same on all who producing Mbti content - some have it, some don't, but one can clearly tell the difference.

Thank you, for your insights and kind words! I agree that the Myers family and Jung never intended for this information to 'box' people into a certain stereotype. Everyone is unique and that's the beauty of MBTI in my opinion, that even with all our uniqueness, there are still ways in which we are connected to another human being, by nature. It's a beautiful thought that we're all connected not only in a physiological sense, but also in a mental sense 😁

I read somewhere that Te and Fi are very narcissistic functions. ESTJ, ENTJ, and INTJ have higher rates of narcissism compared to other MBTI types

Stop to read these sources, and think/judge by yourself, do your own observations & experiences. (sorry to be so direct, I just accomplish my role to correct the wrong informations) It is more related to Enneagram, past experiences, than MBTI. Even in this topic of Enneagram : there is bullshit informations in books too. No function is more "Narcissistic" of another. The biggest "bullshit" I read in a book : in "Character and neurosis an integrative view, 1994, by Claudio Naranjo" (About Enneagram) The Enneagram 7 : Narcissist personality, associated with INTJ. Which created a lot of misconceptions & problems about INTJ on Internet. (according to another Gifted INTJ online friend) I rarely or never use books or informations find elsewhere. I always verify by using functions. It is also incompatible with the other knowledge. For example : INTJ ENTJ are more likely to be Gifted and/or Asperger and/or ADHD than Narcissistic (Personality disorder), it is incompatible, and in opposition. It's always a back a forth between all functions, to get closer to the "truth", or rather on what it is the most probable, or accurate. Don't trust the outside informations, think by yourself ^^ [An INTJ fed-up & frustrated to see wrong informations, and who feel responsible to correct them]
