merrow is a master at sequencing drums, most of his own shit is way intricate. take another listen to some of the jam-up stuff he did with loomis, a little tough to find better song writing than those two monsters.

***** True, but they also actually use it. Even if they didn't use it, based on basic tutorials like this, I'd probably get it. Makes sequencing drum beats far more creative-focused, instead of manually clicking every note and its length in a MIDI keyboard sequencer. The more you can do to improve workflow, the better. This is a great catalyst to get a pretty detailed idea going, after which you can give it to a drummer and have them improve on it if necessary. It sounds pretty authentic too.

DaveDexterMusic nope. If it wasn’t for drums Devin would have a full ginger mullet and be from a country with less moose. And he’d NEVER been inspired to read the crap that lead to his writing on Deconstruction. Plus without a drummer, he’d be a lone mighty masturbator. Planet smasher would make him hip hop beats to rap over and he’d be the hairy white rapper with no drums and a fuzzy creature playing an mpc sampler w no choice but to use mike Patton’s entire tracks since Patton is like our American Townsend imo. Thank god for devs cue ball cabeza and moose ridden home land :)

When you use EZDrummer within your DAW, you can seperate every part of the drums (kick, snare, overheads, etc....) in multiple tracks.

Superior drummer does that

C0RKY EZD is pre-processed so you have to kinda tailor your sound to it. If you want to get super nerdy you can put each drum on its own track and tweak from there but there isn’t tons you can do. That is more of a Superior Drummer feature though, as that allows you a lot more flexibility to design the drum sound. EZD is meant to be more of an “out of the box” solution for people making demos who don’t want to do endless tweaking.

@@toontrack Thanks for the reply! Not that big of a deal, I've learnt to use the remove button from the drop down. But it would be nice to use the Del button on the keyboard too :)

VX84 the funny thing is Hogland actually plays a lot of the loops in the metal expansion packs for SD and EZD. So in a way you are right and wrong haha
