See, I can one up that with Super Metroid. I was at the end game area, having beaten the other bosses and headed for Mother Brain, when my then boyfriend tripped over my SNES controller cable and the resultant jerk reset the console and wiped my save data. To this day I have not beaten Super Metroid because of that. So cartridges can glitch just as badly as discs 😜
I f**** hate when I do a speed run fail but your videos are awesome is and they make it where if I fail in speedrunning I could just realize how many other people there are vet have failed even worse
I think the editor needs to... explain some of these. Like, what did the player do wrong, or what was the player -supposed- to do that they failed to? Like, for the WoW clip at around 3:30, I have no idea what happened, or why he 'failed.'
Shoutouts to Simpleflips for the Green Demon Challenge and to the "I lost the run to RNG, dude!" guy. Also, EPIC PHAIL at 00:40. One more thing, why raise the pitch of NES games? It's not like Darbian's playing the PAL version on the toploader.
ThatOneGuitarGuy 98 By that logic memorizing the movement needed for a level is pointless (a bullshit answer, because all speedrunners learn this). If you're letting the camera limit yourself, you're just not playing efficiently.
speedrunners: have the controller in thier hand and have full control of what happens in the game. Also speedrunner: “oh yer game just do that, cause that’s what I wanted” or “oh come on game, you gonna do me me dirty like that” Maybe you should just I don’t know, play better and not blame the game for your mistakes.
Don't worry, you aren't bursting any bubble of mine, I don't know you so I'm not just going to blindly believe you. I obviously meant that it's the case some of the time, not all the time. you know it was just meant to be a joke and all. Also this video and comment are from 2 months ago, but thanks for enlightening me with your unmatched smarts, glad to see you putting your internet degree to great use.
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat? I think if some speed runners got education and ate meat instead of soy & ramen, they could avoid hitting The Wall, ;)
