I don’t know if motherhood is something I’ve ever “figured out,” but I’ve learned ways to roll with whatever is going on in the moment/stage of life. You’ve got this. As far as balancing motherhood and the channel, I know you have goals and ways you want your videos to be, and I respect that, but from my perspective, you’re doing great! I enjoy your videos a lot. And I’m sorry you had negative feedback on your video about buying that lookbook and going through the fits. I felt like you were super clear that the service was great and they did a good job finding you looks, and over and over again, you took responsibility for setting the price point higher than you felt comfortable with. I saw it as you taking responsibility for the error you made in filling out the form, while being honest about how the price point would not actually be right for you. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with how you handled that video, and I appreciate that you are trying to be clear with us and help us avoid buyers’ remorse. I like it that you are being mindful of how what you promote on your channel could impact your viewers. TL;DR I think you are doing better than you think at balancing motherhood and work, and I disagree with the people with negative feedback on your other video. You’re doing great!

Ugh, I love your videos SO much, Laini!! I have two kids (almost three and almost one) Regarding being a mom and “figuring it out”… at least so far in my journey, some things get easier, but other things get harder 😅. As soon as you have a rhythm, something changes, since we’re all growing together! I go through seasons of feeling like I can finally be productive and get ahead, and then a week later, somebody’s teething or “regressing” or gets sick or I get super slammed at work. But you do eventually just.. get used to it? And it becomes life. And you learn to (hopefully) give yourself some grace! Idk what it’s gonna be like when they go to school… but I expect it will be easier and harder in different ways, like it always has been with each stage!

So so happy you partnered with parade. Finding cute bralettes that fit correctly with a small band and bigger cup is so hard and I love knowing one of my fav RU-vidrs has a similar problem

I sweeaarr I've never been a fan of shorts eveerrr but upon starting to watch you, I start to love it now. I used to had this "I'm not like your other girl" phase and I used to judge women wearing short shorts cause I think it's for showing off men your "legs". But now I'm rethinking about how I view shorts lol. Like I like how you could pair it with a dainty/fancy top and it'll wear it down or make it "sportier" like the juxtaposition is sooo cuuuute ❤❤ I even like Adidas Samba now (I used to hate it because I thought it being a "flat shoes" make you appear shorter) but I get the aesthetic now ❤❤

Don't know if I'd say mother hood gets "easier" but you def get better at it. 10 months is such a hard age as well because they are so curious but limited. My son is 17 months now and has become a bit more independent so i am able to do more with him but it is still difficult 🥲 the most time i can spend in a thrift store with him is about 45 mins with the help of ms Rachel. Loved this video and that skort is sooo cute! I've been wanting that reformation cardi since last fall but just can't get myself to spend that amount, hoping i can come across it second hand one of these days 🤞🏾

No. Lol. The truth is, you never figure out motherhood. You just get really good at managing the whiplash speed at which every damn thing changes on you constantly. And by saying “get really good”, what I mean is, you find the least dysfunctional way to cope you possibly can. The reality of being a mother showing up in whatever way you see it from your side as a possible issue with your content is part of the charm and appeal of your content, Laini. We have more than enough fake perfection and “I’ve got it all under control” content out there. I’m here because this all looks more like what I know life is REALLY like and it’s soothing. It can take me all day to get through a 20 min video and an hour to type up a comment because I am constantly interrupted lol. Super cute looks. You never fail to inspire me to play with my clothes and look for what makes *me* happy instead of comparing it to something Ive seen somewhere else and is how I’m *supposed* to wear them. ❤

i 100% get what you mean at 15:52 !! often times bigger brands want the profit, or you pay for the brand in some cases and most stuff there are bad quality and very expensive (i remember seeing 80 bucks for a button up from mango last video, if i wanted to I'd find one with 10 times more personality in my mom's closet for free.99) BUT when I know I'm paying a small brand who cares about quality I won't feel bad for spending more money

I have a 9yo and a 1yo, am almost 30 and literally I don’t have anything figured out. It does get easier tho! Especially as they get older. You seem like you’re doing great tho, it’s clear that you have your priorities straight and Lucy is so so lucky to have such a wonderful support system of a family.
