I enjoyed your podcast. I think you will love the 80/20 yarn and find it cushy, more durable, less pilly than the 75/25. I made the Battenberg blanket out of scraps with the solid color being jack rabbit heather knit picks stroll. I absolutely love the finished product! You picked a gorgeous yarn to join yours together. You will be so happy! The blue cascade is so pretty! I am also sensitive to the scratchiness of wool. I have knit sweaters from wool of the Andes that I made to wear over blouses or lightweight long sleeved Ts or turtlenecks. They are the ones I grab more often than the softer sweaters. I hope you find the right project for it. That make a tweed is genius!

Hi Liz, you amaze me with all your knitting!! Everything you have shown is impeccable..I’ve knitted in the past but mostly those triangular scarves, long scarves, socks etc. I did make a cardigan style sweater with cotton yarn. I wore it for maybe 2 seasons then stopped. It was kind of heavy and therefore lost shape quickly. It was fun for awhile though. I’m trying to do the Musselburgh hat but can’t seem to get the hang of the magic loop cast on. Fiddling with the needles and knitting on the correct side is co fusing for me. I’ve watched tutorials but when I see my friend in April I’m going to see if she can help me. She’s a great knitter. Anyway….. love seeing your stuff. So pretty. Have a great week.

ANKESTRiCK has some lovely classic knits. I really love Isabell Kraemer as well. Cascade 220 is very much a worsted weight. I'd not recommend anything smaller than a US 8 with it, unless you want it to stand up by itself. I am enjoying watching your knitting excitement.

I'm so behind on watching videos, but I'm really glad I didn't skip ahead and miss this video. Like your mom, I'm a strong crocheter and have knotted before, but not often and not too recently. Somehow I've become obsessed with learning to knit socks. I found some resources for "beginner sock knittes" and have gathered supplies, but I haven't jumped in yet. Is there a pattern or tutorial that you would recommend? 🪡👠

You are amazing. I would love to know how you get so much done. Awesome video as usual. I can't wear sweaters in the house due to the cats snagging them - do you have issues? What do your cats do while you knit/stitch? Are they little devils like mine?

Ok yes! I do not wear my sweaters in the house because of the cats and just how I lounge about to knit and stitch and don’t want to wear holes in the elbows, I have a drawer in my closet for my knits and put them on just before I go out and take them off when I get home and put on a sweatshirt instead!

Whenever I wash a sweater i will lay it out flat to dry, kind of reblocking it each time I wash it, but luckily with wool you really dont have to wash it as frequently as with other things!
