I had a ton of problems with the sail panels on the bird. The sail panels I installed didn't have the clips, which I thought would have been much better. I struggled with them a long time and finally got them where I felt they where acceptable, but I wasn't happy. Looks like I did OK now that I see how yours went. As always thanks for the video and the affirmation that I did it right. Wish they had RU-vid back then!

Jeff say that he'd be much smarter if he had RU-vid back in the early days!

hey guys, thanks for the videos on the headliner and the sail panel install, great info.. I installed 2 new quarter panels on my 69 Camaro, around the back window the small rivets that the clips for the window trim are not on the new quarters. How do you install these and where can you get these? Thanks in advance Jeff J.

Hey Jeff, where'd you find that industrial velcro? I need something like that for a project I'm working on. By the way, thanks for all the great tips. Looking forward to next week, as usual. :-)

Lowes, or Home Depot carry it. You can also find it on Amazon.

AutoRestoMod Muscle Car Resto and Modifications Yes they are pricey and most are pretty rusty. Took me about 3 years to find a decent cuda

The top of my sail if wanting to come down and pull the headliner with it .what should I use behind the headliner? The velcro...and what glue to hold the sail into the headliner?

Did you staple the headliner down as shown in the video? We use weatherstrip adhesive from 3M: 08001. Also, I will wipe the glue off of the velcro and use weatherstrip adhesive.

Any thoughts on the TMI headliner and sail panels vs the stock style?

We'll be installing a TMI set in either the Dark horse '65 Mustang or The Punisher. If we get another Camaro or Firebird owner that wants one we definitely will do it on that as well.

"i know because i've done this before... fixed it tho." Could be a great idea for a video. How would we fix that mistake? Never fails, if I don't bleed or break something impossible to replace while restoring, I clearly must be doing something wrong.

LOL We just cant find an owner willing to let us plug a hole or a v rip that we make in their headliner. That being said we might do a repair video on the headliner in the '64 Falcon hardtop before we rip it out.!
