In this video about Budget VE Performance I explain the parts and modifications needed to make a dyno proven over 400rwhp and over 1000ft-lbs of torque from an Intercooled Dodge First Gen. This truck is fully capable of daily driving and working hard as it regularly pulls my dual tandem goosneck loaded with a gross weight of 25-30K lbs. Note you will not be able to use the 400hp all of the time as egt and cooling system issues will limit it to somewhere around 300hp for sustained power but bursts over 400 will be no problem. The turbo recommended is after testing dozens of HX35-40 configurations as well as s257, s259, and the venerable 62mmS300 stuff. The 300g I have found is the best compromise between spoolup, power, durability, and egt control. A Pyrometer is highly recommended if you will be pulling a trailer. @pddofficial @AreaDieselService @DieselPowerSource
