Thinking about it now, I would really LOVE to see her cover a Janis Joplin song, if she hasn't already!

I am a long time fan of AJ and I just love her sound, her beauty doesn't hurt a bit . She is fantastic all around. I'm 78 so I probably won't be around to see her continued growth. But I'm am sure she will be up in heaven teaching the angles how it's done.

Angelina calls us fans Angels. She has become the greatest female vocalist to ever live. There has never been another with her combination of talents. She turned 18 on January 10th. You have no idea what you are about to experience while getting to know her! She just turned 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent. All her performances went viral. She is our barefoot Princess of a thousand voices, the Queen of Jazz. She is a gift to us all. Which is my favorite Angelina song? Why it is the last Angelina song that I listened to. Enjoy!

She is a national treasure of Norway but also of the world. With a Norwegian mother, Swedish father, Iranian grandmother, and Japanese grandfather, she is truly an international treasure. Wow, she has so many great songs and so many live ones on stage or in her home music corner. Experiencing goose bumps or feeling a tear running down our cheeks is not uncommon when listening to her. And she's so versatile. We've only scratched the surface of her talent as she just turned 18.

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Angelina Summertime (George Gershwin song) was based on Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong version. There's some 'blue notes' here. This early performance of "Summertime" was so impressive. I loved it. Her first audition on the show of "gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday was the one that made people's head's snap back in her direction, first catching the attention of an international audience. But her second one, another Billie Holiday song, was impossibly done with no music and all her competitors standing just behind her, showing on stage she has no nerves. She pretty much left everyone speechless. The next one I think, "Bang Bang", let everyone know she was not limited to old school jazz. She is one of the most versatile singers in the world. So many wonderful covers and originals. She's not scared of tackling complex songs from top artists. The barefoot is part of Angelina's mission to get shoes all kids of this world and she set up a charity for this. When she visited Iran, her grandmothers country of origin, she saw a young girl barefoot begging at the side of the road. Angelina gave the girl her shoes and decided to always perform without shoes. Along with her grandmother, who is a known artist, they wrote and published a book about the incident. It made Angelina the youngest person in Norway to publish a book. The proceedes go to her charity, so far she has collected, along with others, over 37 million Euro's.

And here, 10 years later, she is still living up to her promise and her charity. Eight billion is a lot of people on Earth and still, the vast majority have never heard of her. Having now become 18 and graduated High School, I think that will change to allow more performances but, I hear she is enrolling into Julliard, so, not expecting a 'continuous touring' type of career until after she's graduated. I think her 'sort' of music, Jazz, Blues, R&B, though not restricted to those, is more suited to smaller, intimate venues where both the delicacy and the power of her vocals can best be appreciated, although she's shown us she can handle any stage.

I believe her youngest performance was “I who have nothing” she was 6. Amazingly strong voice. There’s also another cute video of her when she was in preschool and she refused to sing along with the class.

Angelina Jordan Astar, born on January 10, 2006, in Oslo, Norway, showed a passion for singing at an incredibly young age. At just one and a half years old, she sang in her crib, inspired by Whitney Houston's performances on RU-vid, and by the age of three, she was already listening to jazz and classic legends on her iPad. The "I Put a Spell On You" video you saw was a once only thing. She has performed it numerous times since but never with all the experimental effects from that video. She has more sophisticated tools in her bag now.

Summertime is the title of the most famous aria from the opera Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin (music), Ira Gershwin and DuBose Heyward, which premiered in 1935. Hello again! Wonderful reaction 🙂 I was curious to see if you were expecting a performance in the vein of "I Put A Spell On You" or smt like that, and I am super happy that you loved this one just as much, and maybe even more than the previous one. Also, she was exactly 1 year younger here than in the other one. So this was her final performance, of a total of 4. In this rendition she was heavily inspired by Louis Armstrong's performance of the song. Her very heavy vibrato her tells quite a bit about that. That being said, THIS amount of vibrato is not common for Angelina, though her beautiful vibrato definitely is ONE of her trademarks. Most female singers can master a vibrato in the higher register, but Angelina had the LOW register vibrato down from the very get go. As well as in all other ranges. Her range is huge. If you wanna listen to her EXTREMELY low register, then go ahead and react to her performance of "How Great Thou Art". She sings the song in the same key as Elvis did. At age 12 🤣😂 Just HOW crazy is that, right ? Let me just tell you right now that there is NO way (almost NOrway there...) that you will believe what you hear.
