I wish the guy I bought my last truck off did a once over as good as you've done here before I bought it. But if it's leaving your shop, it has your name on it, well worth the extra work. Lot of respect for you Sam and you family. Keep on Keeping on. Hell Yah Brotha.
I new a man in Canada , back in the 1950s who put his car on a hoist every yr & spayed the total under side with his used oil , couple times before the winter road salt . He drove a late 40s Ford NO RUST
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Phillip Gage i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Have 97 12valve with 97,000 original miles and I'm the original owner tried to sell it for 16,000k and got low balled here in Washington St. Your price is fair and I've watched you put everything into that truck hope you get your price.
Same thing happened to the window in my Dakota with a very similar track. The parts store didn’t sell bushings for it and said I needed an entire new assembly. I took a look in the “help” section and grabbed a pack of pedal & shift linkage bushings and wouldn’t ya know with a little grease one of the buggers popped right in and worked great for 100s of window cycles and as far as I know still works to this day.
Bad time of the year for me or I would have loved to grab that truck. Nice job. Nothing worse than buying some “I know what I have” junk and finding things when you get home. Or getting there and purposely over looking those little things that you think you can deal with later. When I’m ready I’m going to start looking in that part of the state for my next 12 valve.
LMC Truck has thoes upper front bumper caps for $40, you should replace that to because that one is soooo faded. I'm happy your putting thoes old 2nd gens back on the road :)
Glad to see you getting those Milwaukee tools. Don’t get me wrong makita is a great brand but once you bleed red you’ll never bleed green or yellow again
The famous words of every man who is selling a Cummins “price is this because they don’t make them any more” 😂😂 followed immediately by “the only thing it needs is this....” 😂
Just sold my my 97 12 valve truck for 12k in placerville CA. was a longbed 4x4 extended cab as well but had a built 47re and was pre smog. Miss that truck but just picked up a 2011 crew cab longbed 3500 4x4 g56 cummins for 25k :)
That's a great price I just bought a 98 short bed and paid 9 grand then put 1500 into it and still got probably another 2000 just to make it good and sound.
Will it make it to Wisconsin!? Ha. Hope I can find something this nice when I get back to the states... really want a 4 door 12v though.. so here’s to hoping. Wish there were more deals like this out there!
I am not a dodge man i am a gm fan I have had three diesels trucks all gm but i have friends who have fords and dodges and they all are pretty much equal, i think the price is perfect diesels hold there value it doesn't matter what brand they are and that one has pretty low miles for a 23 year old truck and you just went all over the truck and fix it all and it tows and runs excellent good luck I personally think you will get your asking price you should ask more
If they made a crew cab 2nd gen I'd have one or people didn't think their first gens were worth gold I'd have one, but since they are so expensive I own nothing but old chevys. 😂 😂
Sam, love your channel. I just figured out how to change my name on here, I was inquiring about Gma tractor on a recent video, also now inquiring about a gooseneck hitch for a 99’ Cummins...got an extra laying around? I’ve also got a nice set of heated electric regular mirrors, barter maybe? I’ve got a set of tow mirrors now...
Not VBelt and Son Nor is it going to be Samson and Son. It is Sanford and Son. I got a prepainted skin for my 2007 tailgate. About an hour and it was good as new.
Cool truck. My 98 24v has a nv4500 but I want to put in a nv5600 is it possible to use my existing clutch and flywheel since they are new . It looks like they have the same input shaft sizes.
12valve isn't that rare as people make them to be. Get a pre 98 v10 2500 or 3500 and swap the v10 and pcm with the 12 valve and pre 98 pcm. Should cost you around 5 grand. No modification needed and should be over the weekend job with couple of your buds
You can keep the box of 45 lead but swap it for one of 9mm . If it was 10mm l would need my daughter in-law to sell me our deceased son’s , the one you see in the picture
i dont think that valvoline gear oil is the right oil for an NV4500. i run Amsoil MTF. www.amsoil.com/p/manual-transmission-transaxle-gear-lube-75w-90-mtg/
@@VBELTandSON shit, my bad, i missed that. kind of passively watching the video while working on the computer. also, good work on the truck!! love that someone else there loves saving these like i do!
@@VBELTandSON good price in my opinion! even tho i think its insane what these go for now. i cant argue what the market is doing to prices on these. they are worth flipping.
