I love when he did Geraldine who was so funny and that voice and she would always talk about my man killa... Now-a-days, alot of comedians talk about people trying to put them in dresses and they refuse... Idk... a woman can never portray a man as good a man portrays a woman it is so hilarious they have us down packed. hilarious stuff I ever seen or heard they got us down packed. Martin Tyler Perry Madame Edna and many more it's just comedy. comedy was meant to laugh...
The only stand-up comedian that i never get tired of watching over and over! George was the True Legend! R.I.P you will be in our heart... I just remember his Joke about where exactly in your heart! :D
What's crazy is I've never even heard of goerge before until a few weeks ago. I'm ashamed of myself. I've been binge watching all of his acts the last few days
@@cliftonjames785 I am old enough to remember George Carlin from the early days. He was hilarious in the beginning. In the beginning he just twisted everyday stuff and made it funny. He got more cynical and crude as he got older. I enjoyed his earlier material, but not his later material.
@@cliftonjames785 If you really analyze the very last material he did, it was really dark. This is because he went downhill very fast after his wife of many years died. There is no denying his wit and intelligence. Comedians from the '60's and '70's were the best. I suppose that is because that was my era too. I think everyone enjoys the music and humor from their "informative years", regardless of when it was!
I was in high school at this time, and always carefully scanned the listings to make sure I never missed George Carlin guest starring on any show. I remember being in school the day of the program, all excited about George being on that evening. I remember these Flip Wilson appearances well.
I had forgotten, but I loved Flip Wilson as a little kid in the 1970s. I grew up in an all white suburb in Orange County, Calif., but he was a really popular comedian in our home, right up there with Bob Hope (who in those days was still hosting the Oscars). I was too young to stay up for Johnny.
@James Darmor "Bat shit rat shit dirty old twat sixty nine assholes tied in a knot hoooooooray lizard shit! Fuck!"~George Carlin, 1984, Carlin on Campus
Holy shit, Flip looks great in this show. We used to watch him all the time when I was a kid. Didn't know who Carlin was at that time, but definitely knew Flip Wilson. :D
Hard to believe 50? year’s on and I am watching this on an iPad and still laughing 😂😂. Totally forgot about The Hippy Dippy Weatherman 😅 Thanks George ☺️
"They" actually could return to this type of thing......If the talent was allowed to do this kind of thing......but I fear that with everyone on edge & worried about "everything"......it may be awhile.....
These are wonderful! I cannot believe that these classic moments are available. Thanks so much for sharing these. Two masterful satirists doing what they do best!
Oh man, I haven't seen that stuff in forever. I forgot how funny Flip Wilson was. I'm gonna go find me some Geraldine stuff right away. RIP guys, you rocked!
You can add to this that Flip is reading Carlin's material (the newscasts are from his solo shows or earlier TV appearances), so you can expect Carlin to have a better feel for it.
“And now, here’s that year-end wrap up we promised you.” *[Janky fanfare plays]* “…Well, that’s the kind of year it was, gang.” This will always be relevant. 😂
Great Post!!! I have never seen this. I started listening to Carlin in the mid 70's when I was about 10 years old. My brother and I had to hide the albums from our parents because they thought he was raunchy....
"The Two Ronnies" (Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett )had an identical routine at the start and the finish of their BBC TV show, which ran right throughout the 1970s and most of the 1980s here in UK and in many English-speaking countries. They are both gone, along with the entertaining and witty humour they performed so well.
Ronnie Corbett was adorable. On Graham Norton's red chair he said,"where do they go, Graham?" Probably hoping it was some oubliette or the back door or something
