It's his aesthetic. Only Bridget and Testament visit the ship, and they're just beautiful enough to be tolerable. Everyone else he tells to get off his ship.

May's actually 23 or something around that. Sharon isn't an angel, she's human, but there's a bug in the Backyard which makes her OP. Chipp is a president of his own country (Eastern Chipp Kingdom), which is not America. Jack-O isn't an assassin, she's That Man's servant. Like I-No and Raven. She's also a Valentine, like Ramlethal and Elphelt. Just saying.
Pat keeps up the tradition of knowing nothing about the lore of any series he plays, then misinterpreting everything, to the point where Jack-O VALENTINE is now part of the assassin's guild.
Honestly, Raven is my favorite character in the whole series now because every Instant Kill shows how happy he is to get hit by it, especially during Jack-O's Instant Kill. His expression during that one is basically like Pat going, "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH"!
It looks difficult as a spectator. But the game has one hell of a tutorial mode that if you commit to it it should get your feet wet with the game mechanics. Choosing a character seems to be the hard part for some as they really want to play every body.
trust me you aren't in a minority. I respect the best friend's opinion of not liking bb but i feel most of the fans jump on that and hate it for absolutely no reason. Often when you ask these people y bb is bad they either list a lot of reasons that pretty much can be said towards gg or simply say "because it sucks and anime durrrr weab game murrrrrrr"......so that should tell you how much they actually know.
Speaking of Ki... I used to have a friend who wasn't that into fighting games. We talked about Street Fighter at one point and he was like, "Yeah, I used to always play Gweelay" I couldn't figure out wtf he was talking about... Then finally realized he called Guile 'Gweelay' when he was a little babby and never had to say the name after he learned to read properly. I still give him shit about it.
Jared Biggers The way I see it, all the people getting on my case are just buttmad because, in their desire to dick-ride the Best Friends, they completely miss the fact that the Best Friends don't hate Blazblue, just dislike it. Which is why I get more flak than the Naruto guy. He's been at it longer than I have, but I guess the possibility that the Best Friends might actually play Blazblue before hell freezes over is just more threatening than them playing Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Whatever-the-fuck.
Chris Merkel Studios I dunno. At this point, I can't think of anyone who's into both Blazblue and Best Friends really care that much anymore. Hell, a good chunk of the salt from that video was just people who were salty because other folks were salty about the video. Like, everytime I see a comment on here saying that they love Blazblue fans "salty tears", I always ask: "What tears?" People haven't cared about that video in months and have long since moved on. Hell, I don't even know if this Blazblue hate comes from genuine dislike for the series, Best Friends dickriding, or even just old Guilty Gear fans who STILL haven't gotten over the fact that Blazblue came out and that Guilty Gear took a break for the longest time.

The scary thing about Slayer is that he has been holding back the entire time! In the episode mode of this game he reveals he has powers he has been hiding and was hoping it to use it during a fight with Sol Badguy.
Xrd was the first game GG to get a dub....and it was fucking beautiful. And then they said fuck that idea, not doing it again. RIP Classy Slayer finisher and godtier goof Claus.
IT'S NO AGE OF BARBARIAN 2, but this game looks beautiful. I love the art style and the individual style/imagery of each character. Whomever worked on this game really put their entire heart and soul into it's creation. But as wonderful as this game is, THIS GAME IS STILL NO AGE OF BARBARIAN 2!!!!!
The X is from all the other Guilty Gear games like X and XX/X2 and the rd comes from this being the third fighting game with an X and so the title Xrd was made
well... y'know Carl Clover and Relius have their dolls hanging around them and essentially you play 2 characters in one? Zato-1 and Eddy are essentially the OG fighting archetypes of that kind of character.

You do realize all your comment comes out to is, "I can't believe people have different opinions and tastes.", right? Guilty Gear is amazing, but I personally prefer the feeling and style of Street Fighter and KoF. Are you going to try arguing that anyone's opinion that isn't the same as yours is wrong?
I love sf, maybe not more than this, but capcom screwed up enough to where for the first time since sf3, fans are worried about the future of the series. And on top of that, while it's a messed up way to say it, capcom's got us hardcore fans by the balls. I'm glad the casuals ran from it, because that'll let capcom know they screwed up, but they'll still take advantage of the loyal fans as much as they can. Arcsys doesn't act like that (nearly as much at least) , so one thing that i feel needs to be done is we gotta encourage people to pretty much start buying games like BB, GG, KI, and KOF and spark those numbers up that way capcom sees it has strong competition and starts to change to actually try to get those fans back. Otherwise, nothing will chamge.
Only reason I'm watching this is for I-no and Ramlethal... If both of em are played in this episode, then I'll draw a nice "pow wow" between the two...

I know nothing about guilty gear but the character designs are amazing. Zato-1 looks coolest IMO because of demon shit. Jack-o is super hot along with other female characters. Bridget is not in the game I miss that shota trap boy.

man, the hindsight after 5 years. This game was never huge, but it laid the groundwork for strive, which turned out to be a massive success. Guilty Gear is no longer forgotten next to giants, it is a giant
Even though I know it won't happen, I hope if they do another video of Guilty Gear they practice like a week before hand just to get used to it. I'm usually okay with just jumping into a fisticuff but with games like this, I would love to see them play each other with some experience under their belts. Makes it more enjoyable to me.

MilkyMint Sorry man, but while I like some character designs, the gameplay, the music, and whole english cast, the story of Blazblue is fucking awful and Ragna's whole fucky-brother, obsessive-sister, and weirdly sexual-not sisters all fawning over him is too much squick for my entire life. I feel his personality is fine, but I cannot sit for more than two seconds in that graphic novel

Seriously, his story, design, powers and even his personality is a deliberate call out to Protag cliché's and getting super over hype with it. Since he both owns and inverts those troupes. I think you didn't give Ragna a fair chance and tried too hard to see the negatives, he ain't perfect, but at his best he REALLY shines.
I'm actually really mad that Raven got wasted on Matt, and generally how little effort Matt put when he played half the time. Almost as if to say "im going to lose anyway and im never going to play this again, why bother know what im doing?"
