I've just found your channel, Jemma. You make it look so easy. I retired 7 years ago after almost a million miles as a sameday courier in a small van, and often admired the *real* drivers and listened to their stories at the truckstops.
Another brilliant video Jemma, a non trucker like me just used to think that you got loaded, drove a bit, tipped your load and went home!! Really enjoying learning how different (and often difficult) your job is! 😊
Hi Jemma, I’m loving your channel. A great positive but real viewpoint & your winning personality really makes it a great viewing. I’m in awe of how you drive that lorry. I’ve been binge watching you 😃🙈🤣
I am currently binge watching “trucking hell” about wreckers and hgv rescues fascinating alongside ur insight into your world and the pressure of driving such beasts👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That was a really interesting video, filled with the level of detail which usually gets skipped over. Really gave a great insight into how much more complex and demanding the job can be. Surprised the farmer didn't offer you a cup of tea after the less than straightforward tipping. Thanks for the enlightenment.
Absolutely brilliant vlog as always Jemma, thank you so much!! I hope you, Ryan & all your family are all really fit & well 🙏 I hope your Stepdaughter had a fantastic time at her prom 💃🙏 Jemma, you truly are an extremely talented & skilled driver, you’re an absolute pleasure & a joy to watch!! Loved your Basil Fawlty moment!! 🌴🤣 I hope you have a brilliant weekend ☀️😎 All the best Jemma 😊
Hi Jemma how's it going ok I hope you are well.what beautiful scenery on a nice day.all jobs complete and ready for a shower.keep enjoying life.philip as got is second hgv test this week.i will keep you updated. Pjg.
Brilliant video Gem as always , lots of great trucking along those country lanes and reversing in the farm yards in and out of sheds , have you a great safe weekend xxxx
Really appreciate you making these vids, I'm just about to start my training, so it's really enlightening to see the sort of things you deal with day to day, Thank you! ☺
The locations were pretty tight this week. The overhead funnel loaders are very interesting, it's great to see how does they work. The lane to the last farm was narrow, no wonder you were worried about the tree branches. The summer weather is very lovely, just like the nice countryside. As always fantastic vlog Jemma, it's awesome we can follow your week.
Just thought, what if you got yourself a small battery powered leaf blower for cleaning out the back? Neighbour has one, they’re brilliant. Battery lasts ages, really powerful and small. Would save you loads of time and effort 😊
My thinking from my experience would be it would just create more dust, especially with the dry loads. Unfortunately sometimes the old way is the best way
Great vld as always! Thought I saw you on Thursday between Sevenoaks and Clacket Lane on the 25. When you came out of that farm and struggled because the trailer lift axle was up,our Wilcox trailers,if you disconnect the abs lead,it ll dump the axle, get yourself out of the tight spot, then reconnect it. Stay safe and keep the vids coming.
Jemma another great video. The M25 is my nightmare road too😩. Again great job finding farms up single lane tracks. Looking forward to your next adventure 👍👍
Awesome video again Jemma thanks, you certainly get a good variety of loads. Some of the places you deliver to are a bit tricky, but you make it look easy Interesting theory about the air fresheners, last one I got free was from a car wash. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Hi Jemma, another fine video.. Where I used to work a flour tanker tipped over , not a pretty site. International Rescue was called in. Mighty big wreckers to upright it.
Hi Jemma. Love watching your videos. Very informative. I started out on bulkers many moons ago so brings back memories. Been on general for years now. But kind of reminds me of how I miss it a little. Only a little mind 😂
Great informative video Gemma I have looked across the other side of the m5 near Taunton and seen 3 of your lorrys on a Friday afternoon around 3pm must have been working in tandem and all heading back to your depot to enjoy your weekend 😊
Thank you for your videos. I know it takes time to get it right. It’s very interesting to watch the whole picture about an HGV. Your presentation style is very skilful. Never driven a HGV but have a lot of respect for the work the drivers do. My now long gone father used to call them Gents of the Road. There seems to be an increasing number of poor quality drivers but nowhere near the number of poor quality car drivers - particularly around school times. It used to be taught in the 70’s that you always make way for a lorry; it’s easier for a car to pull over or whatever than a truck. Don’t see that so much these days.
Nice video Jemma 👍. Some tight turns there, anyone would think you've done that before!! Portland is a great place for a night out, I stayed right at the top once just past the Young Offenders Prison. Nice chippy in Weymouth too!!
Hello Jemma, could you please give us a demonstration as to how your trailer covers operate. I think you have a remote control but obviously get involved manually when they get jammed. Your whole series is fascinating. There are others out there doing similar trucking channels but they are not in your league! Keep it going. Many thanks. Robert
Hello Jemma ! Brilliant vlog, so pleasant to be with you during your day work. And a good shower with good conditions😊. And as always , I m impressed with your skills....roads so tight, not for me 😂😂 have a nice week ! Bye bye 🙋♂️
Entertaining as always! Gemma, just for your info (and ratings!) it helps us viewers if you have an ending, not just cut off. If you're watching RU-vid on a TV, you have to go back into the video, sit through 2 more ads to be able to click the like thumb. I am sure a lot of people won't bother! Could you maybe have an 'outro' or some end music so we can pause to click the like button? Keep up the great videos. Thanks.😊
That was a great video Jemma l really look forward to Saturday to watch your videos you always make my day your content is fantastic l am so glad l subscribe to your channel 😀 😊😊
Another enjoyable vid again Jemma and you were lucky on Britain's biggest car park sorry I meant M25 as it can be a nightmare at times, also the self loading was interesting to watch, and I'm surprised the farmer didn't offer to make you a cuppa for your break, I would have as a sort of thanks for all the flaffing about it took you to empty the load from trailer, and the Basil reference did make me chuckle though.
Hi Jemma. A tip for dropping your trailer lift axle when you are empty .. Stop and disconnect your EBS lead, this should drop it down , then just reconnect it after the tight manoeuvre. (Possibly have to switch off the engine beforehand, but haven't had to use this method for ages so can't remember tbh. )
Nice one Jemma, Going to Tilbury got you almost to me in Southend. Bet you were keen to escape Essex and get back to your normal territory. Your degree of planning on every job is really impressive. Glad you managed a good shower, to remove all that dusty product. Keep the wheels turning.
The M25 can ba a real ball breaker if it's busy.. but it makes driving on the M3 a real pleasure.. my girlfriend is a regular outpatient at Frimley hospital so I've gone that way a few times..lol. the vids are as good as ever Jem. Keep them coming..👍🙂
WORKED ON THE M25 JEMMA LOVE THE FLY KICK ALSO U LOOK BEAUTIFUL .MANY A.MUCK LORRY I LOADED .BEST WISHES AND WORLD OF GOOD LUCK TO U FROM ME IN WEST OF IRELAND .THE TRAFFIC THERE NOW MUST BE COLLOSAL .
American trucks do look amazing, however, here in the Uk, we’d have no chance getting into a lot of places, I’ve been trucking for about 20 years…., and have contemplated doing a YT channel myself on my trucking journey
Morning Jemma, what a in depth and Interesting Insight to Your Job as Lorry Driver.. i would definitely subscribe to your channel .. Your partner and family are obliviously Supported of your Job u do.. 😊
I've only just discovered your channel and that video was very interesting. I work as a volunteer on a charitable trusts farm. I have great difficulty reversing with a small animal trailer on a John Deere Gator. Had I been driving your rig I would have taken down the barn.
Looks like your trip around the car park as we call it in essex wasn't to bad spend ages every night trying to get home from Kent into essex great videos bye the way❤
Alied is my preferred place to load from in Tilbury and also where I prefer to get a new dust mask from too 😂 Yep, a load of branches took my near side air horn off last year. So pleased when new a one was put on 😁
