The pins on the T-lite Module adapter are not a good fit on a standard servo connector as used here. The balance plug off of a 2 (or more)-cell lipo battery makes a firmer, more positive fit. If you make up an adapter cable as shown here you can then use any (8.4v capable) S-bus receiver that is bound to a compatible Student's Radio to connect wirelessly to the T-lite for use as a Master Radio in a Buddy-Box training system. The T-lite v2 has a plug on the back which means you now don't have to split the radio open to plug in the module adapter. But it is not really a good upgrade since you then have a lot of wires dangling behind the radio. (Possibly we may have received an adapter meant for the v1 radio!) You really have to split the radio anyhow to check where the adapter mounting screws are poking through to. 😱🙄
Perfect, I love it when you follow a how to on RU-vid and it all happens the same. I also have a blue led on my R xsr, just stays on when powered, fine by me I like blue lights. The red and green did what you said. 👍
Thank you for watching, I am glad it worked out for you. I appreciate the compliment, I wanted to show exactly what steps were needed without skipping something and assuming someone knows what to do. Glad it was helpful! By the way, some information from the FrSky R-XSR manual about your blue light: -SBUS/CPPM output (BLUE LED stay lit indicates R-XSR in SBUS mode, otherwise in CPPM mode) -How to switch SBUS and CPPM signal: Long press the F/S button on the receiver for 4 seconds, the BLUE LED will flash three times, indicating the switch is completed.
@@58Alpha that's my next job go on Betaflight and get it all working. Camera transmitted to goggles but no osd yet. Connects to transmitter but no arm. I copied another model in the jumper so that should be half way there. Thanks again now I know why the blue light is there. Not sure weather I want sbus or ccpm yet, not a clue what difference is yet, I feel a RU-vid search in order.
Hi! thanks by the video!! I´ve a question, In my case I´ve a Jumper t-lite v2 version elrs, In my case I need to made the same procedure or like is elrs should be deferent? Regards!!
Hi! Is it normal, that when I plug the battery into the drone, there is some clicking-noise and the connections between drone and battery are getting a bit black? I'm looking forward to an answer, thanks!
The clicking noise sounds like sparking? You shouldn't have any issues after tightly plugging in the battery, but you have to try and plug them in straight and not contact one terminal before the other. I hope I understood your concern.
So I am new to fpv. I do have this radio and I just got a Nazgul5 V2 with a FRSKY R-XSR receiver yesterday. Now I notice when I go into the Model setting I see that it has Frsky rx, Frsky X and so on. Do I need to still do what you did in this video to bind to the receiver?
@@58Alpha OK. I appreciate it. I just installed the external thing on the back of the controller and switched the wired on the wires that connect to the receiver. When I download that link, do I need to go into the OpenTX to put it on the SD card?
@@jml4798 you'll put the SD card in your computer and download the firmware onto that. Then take the SD card out and put it into the Jumper T-Lite and follow the steps in the video. You can use your own SD card, it doesn't come with one.
I got 3 volts on the 4th pin from the right and .01 on the other 3 to the right. I am wondering if i need to change a parameter in the settings somewhere.
@@kymachen381 that is weird since it's connected inside the Jumper T-Lite. Is the ribbon cable flipped wrong? But main thing is you have your red wire on the cable I plug into the terminals, on the one that gives the high power. I'm not really sure what's going on. Maybe you can upload a quick video to youtube to check it out.
OK I may have a good bind using FRSKY X2 with telemetry on. I have a solid blue light a solid green light and a blinking red light. I noticed that the old t-lite firmware would keep ringing when trying to bind but the new firmware would only chirp a few times and then stop. So I initiated the binding reset button power on the receiver / FC first and then started the T-lite transmitter bind . That's when I got red blinking light. maybe its good. Ill let you know.
Did you go to Race Day Quad's website and search "R-XSR" and click on the receiver? It will be in their description. Here is their Google Drive Link: drive.google.com/file/d/1jxw1hA2f071kQ_i0bck_lR6cC9co1T3k/view?fbclid=IwAR0YpEXbskjVn2xZW5yJPaOPWwPCTbJWgf3gER7h65JKzqfz78bbfIpkvRov
Unfortunately I don't know but you could try it. If it uses Open TX then I wouldn't see why it couldn't be applicable, but make sure you know the pin outputs first
