By using the multiprotocol module on a flysky receiver, how much worse/better is the range compared to a standard flysky transmitter like the i6? You should do some range testing of the multiprotocol radios.

I'm having troubles getting the MPM-Lite to work with all my other receivers. The X-lite is my first OpenTX transmitter and all the tutorials assume you already know OPENtx. Is there a start from the beginning tutorial for getting the mpm-lite up and running.

Pretty nice controller, dude. And it's really beautiful! About the batteries, those are 18500. And now they're selling new battery covers, so you can be able to use 18650 cells. 😊

The 18650 covers are garbage. Poorly designed and then the controller doesn’t fit in the case.

Could you try the standard R9M module with the adaptor on it? I have ghem both on the way. I was told that you should set the external module as PPM in the model menu. I thought ghat you would have to set it at r9m as if it was r9m lite. Do you have any idea?

Does the external tx settings follow the chosen model?..... (Dsmx on model 1 and flysky on model 2.... Etc......) Or do you have to change the external tx settings, every time you switch models?

What this controller badly needs is adjustable stick tension to make it looser. Perhaps you could source and test some alternative springs or maybe add wire loop extensions to the existing springs.

1:17 is a myth. The little 18550 handle the bigger JR modules just fine. I run my Crossfire full transmitter set to up to 1W transmit power for a year now and can still fly for multiple fly days on one charge. I don't have any mod to the remote itself and just use two pairs of 18550 such that I can swap them while the other pair is charging.

Good sum up. The silicon looks like the USB charging mod would be required. Removing and replacing to get batteries out for charging looks like it would be a pain. Apparently there are 18650 cap ends possible to allow the longer batteries.

Getting the batteries out of that sleeve is a true pain indeed.. But if you cut halfway around the silicone along the seam of the battery caps, you'll be able to get to them easily. Be sure to cut only halfway around- that way the silicone will snap back into place over the battery covers.

4:48 I was a thumber and started pinching because of how well it works with this remote. So obviously it's not a thumber only controller.

Can you, pretty please, do a proper for noob tutorial video explaining the features and the setup of this tranny. Theres a pint in it for you! I liked your battery mod vid and i'm looking forward to your usb charging port video. As for mods I was looking to add a front mounted neck strap, xbox 360 like stick heads and a wee 7 inch or so screen bracket.
