Zsófi made this video, so this day of eating Keto from a female perspective might be especially helpful for women.
Today I (Zsófi) would like to show you what a full day of eating looks like for me right now. I’m really happy with how I look, but my goal is to still lose some more body-fat, so I’m eating less than Angelo.
You might notice that I’m not adding a lot of extra fat, but instead I’m focusing on getting enough protein to feel satiated while consuming less calories.
I’ve been doing Keto for 3 years now. In the first few weeks, when you’re starting out, you should definitely add lots of fat to your meals to help your body adjust to burning fat for energy.
But when you become fat-adapted, you can gradually lower your fat intake and you’ll still feel energized, as your body is using its body-fat for fuel. In this case, if your goal is weight loss, you should focus on getting enough protein to feel satiated while consuming less calories. Some people call that a protein sparing modified fast (PSMF).
Angelo and I have also been experimenting with the carnivore diet over the past couple of months and we've both seen great results.
We noticed that we're not missing veggies most of the time and that we actually feel better without them (plus cooking is even easier now!), so don't be surprised if you don't see any in the video.
We're still doing Keto (since 3 years), we've just been skipping the veggies for the past 3-4 months - that's all. Please don't alert the vegetable police :)
I included all the macros and calories after each meal in the video.

My understanding is that you should eat fatty meat and organ meat on carnivore or even keto. Not lean meat. Actually encourages weight loss. See Dr Ken Berry’s channel!

So glad I found this video! I had watched the video showing the carnivore foods you both eat, but was wanting to see your progress in particular! Now that it is April 2019, how are you doing with the carnivore diet? Have you lost any weight and what other benefits have you noticed? For me, I am 6 months now on carnivore, maintaining the weight I lost with Keto, body composition seems better (but I still fear I might gain wt again)...and the best of all is my digestion is perfect now!

Informative video. Since carnivore is also an elimination diet, it should cure all food allergies or any other intolerance. I am keto OMAD atm, also eating some veggies, but I am gradually eliminating them from my meal and eating more carnivore. Feeling great doing this. Have you also tried organ meats?

Awesome! Yes, we do make meatballs with beef/lamb/chicken liver & ground beef sometimes. Not a big fan of eating liver itself, but chicken liver is actually not too bad taste wise. What's your experience?

Minimalist Keto Well I started kind of shy with organ meats because as a kid I always hated the taste of liver, but now I have no problems. I eat any grass fed organ meats with no problems, I got used to the taste. With chicken liver and turkey liver, I let them marinate in melted butter for a 1-2 hours and after I saute them in a pan with salt and pepper, they are very tasty and delicious this way :)

Interesting! I have the chocolate keto collagen for breakfast in coffee, and then for lunch is a big salad with veggies, chicken, feta cheese and olive oil, and then for dinner is veg + protein. It just seems so wrong to skip the veg. Do you take any vitamins? Does the lack of fiber do anything? I'd also love to see a fish day - would it be the same thing? Cooked fish and bacon for lunch, more cooked fish and egg for dinner?

that sounds really yummy as well! No we don't take any supplements at all, meat (esp. beef/lamb, fish and eggs) has all the nutrients you need. The lack of fiber has been a game changer for us. No digestive issues ever, regular bowel movements, no bloating whatsoever (stomach always stays flat), etc. There is no benefit to consuming fiber (except if the alternative is eating processed carbs, in which case of course it's still better) and too much of it is more likely to cause issues than help with anything. Here's a really nice study on the topic: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3435786/ Actually, I rarely have a full day where I only eat fish - I might have formulated that the wrong way in the video. But I would say at least once every two days I'll have some sardines, mackerel, wild salmon or tuna with my meal. Apart from that, I mostly stick to red meat, eggs and some pork. I am curious to know how many more pounds/kilos you still want to lose. And with this method what percentage of your weight are you losing weekly. I’m losing a lb a week .7% of my body weight with 30 lbs left of my original 100 to go. I’ve been keto for a year but haven’t reduced my fat at like this at all.

I'm really happy with my weight and love the way I look and feel right now, so I'm not really planning to lose more weight at the moment:) This method, similar to something known as 'protein sparing modified fast', is a really powerful weight-loss tool though. If you're keto adapted I'd just experiment with replacing some fat with protein to feel satiated while reducing calories overall. - Zsófia

Why do you break your fast with collagen coffee? Why not extend the fast with regular coffee?

Because I really enjoy the collagen coffee after 17 hours of fasting, right when I'm about to get hungry :) Those 80 calories help me feel full until lunchtime, so it's definitely worth it for me! - Zsófi

What about Vitamin C, Beta-Carotine and Iodine? Won‘t your Body miss it?

All the vitamin c you need is found in meat, your requirements for it go down when you don't consume carbs. We're getting enough iodine from fish & eggs :) You don't need beta carotene, if you can get more bioavailable vitamin A straight from meat instead.

Wish people would stop saying they are fasting when they eat at 9:30am and all they did was sleep and have a coffee. Literally 75% humans on the planet finish dinner at 7pm in the western world... skip breakfast and eat lunch for first meal.... actually you are eating more often than everyone else. I spent all my school years missing breakfast
