Esther, your yoga teachings are great for the "over 45" crowd. The younger yoga teachers are good, but when you are over 50, you cannot tie your body into a pretzel. Great job!!

During the leg extension, the video cut out- at first your fingertips were forward, and then facing back. Does hand positioning affect alignment?

were these holds long enough to gain flexibility or was this just a demonstration?

MRornge800 yes, you must to practice regularly and you'll improve your flexibility. Flexibility comes with time practicing asanas which improves it.
