Bird is 1 for me. I will respect an opinion that has him behind MJ and maybe even Kobe, but not at 5. LeBron has improved as a clutch player, but the first part of his career where he was afraid of the last shot shouldn’t be ignored. Bird, MJ, and Kobe demanded the ball at the end from day one

Having Bird is fine but saying Lebron was scared to take the final shot is a myth perpetrated by the media. He's been hitting clutch shots since yr1 and was hitting game winners in the playoffs since his first appearance. The stats and video proof is there.

@@georgecharres6198 I think that myth started in one finals game when LeBron passed to an open teammate who MISSED the shot instead of taking the shot himself when he was being defended by 2 or 3 people - then LEBRON gets the blame. Which was the SMART move, as opposed to the KOBE move of take the shot himself DESPITE the high probability of bricking it (like Kobe did so OFTEN). Bird, on the other hand - would have found a way to get open, or ALSO would have passed the shot to the wide open under the bucket man (likely McHale, DJ cutting, or Parrish). BTW - Kobe shouldn't even have a SNIFF of any clutch list, he was HORRIBLE when the game was on the line - forced WAY too many of his bricks. The only reason anyone THINKS Kobe was clutch is that he had SO MANY ATTEMPTS and they forget how many of those he forced AND MISSED.

Pat Riley said if I had to have someone to win a game I’d pick Michael Jordan. If I had to have someone to save my life I’d pick Larry Bird. Isn’t it funny how you know more than one of the greatest coaches of all time and people continue to disrespect Larry Bird and not reward him with what he is deserved. @@doseofkee1942 I actually use to cheer against MJ, because I am a Laker fan to the core, and when the Bulls beat my Lakers, I was heartbroken 💔 😞 then I wanted Barkley to get a ring, and I wanted Gary and those Super Sonics to win also. I wasn’t a Utah fan at all, because I viewed Malone as a bully in Basketball, so I was happy that MJ and those guys beat Malone and Stockton, but truth be told, I’ve never witnessed any single player in the game of Basketball reach MJ level type of play, and the closest that I have seen was the late Kobe Bryant ( and he wasn’t as good as MJ ) but he could compete with MJ & also stole all of his moves. Ummmmmmm but Lebron James 😳 lol 😂 and he isn’t even close to a player like MJ, and this has nothing to do with points, because I look at the work that was put in, and also the road that they each took, to become who they are or were as a player, and like I said. ( It’s not even close ) & that is primarily this younger generation, that has jumped on this ( hype train ) of Lebron James and Lebron is more hype than anything, and Lebron is scoring all of his points in this weak and watered down generation of NBA Basketball players, because when faced with real competition, he pulls ( no shows ) or have played on Super Teams 😂 Ummmmmm some Goat he is lol 😂 but anyway, MJ has my vote for Goat Status, and I am a Magic Johnson fan, but I am not silly enough to try and say that Magic Johnson somehow leap frogs over a player like Mike Jordan ✌🏾( You feel me )

@@antmck99 Kobe is #4 on the all time list for attempts. All 3 of the players ahead of him on attempts are also the Top 3 for "scored" - LeBron, Kareem, and Karl Malone. Kobe is down at *7th* on the all-time "scored" list.

Lebron is scared of the moment. Dunk contest, everyone watching with nobody to help or not. Very fragile if looks bad. No post defense so no posters . Hang out at half court. Jrs rebound, why was he not trying to rebound. Always passes the ball. Never a clutch made buzzer beater. I only know Mario blocked him at the buzzer.. low BBIQ. Lebron is as clutch as you would see Shaq leading the league in free throw percentage

LeBron would be 10 AT BEST. He’s shown to be unclutch more than being clutch. He isn’t unclutch but he isn’t more clutch than ANY on this list. Don’t romanticizing his clutch gene. He is still an all time great without it. He got more clutch as his career progressed.

I agree Shaq was taken out at times but that was a strategy that the defense came up with to contain him. He probably couldn’t make free throws but if they didn’t foul him, he was definitely getting a bucket when needed! The game changed a lot since Mr. Clutch played, so it wasn’t too hard to be clutch in that era. The defense was horrid lol. And Robert Horry wasn’t clutch, he was just lucky.

And as far as defense goes_ a game winning shot in front of the world / during playoffs with the addition of all the pressure and mind games that goes with leading up to that play _ is just as equal as someone in your face....

Luv shaq but No .....he didn't even want to have the ball in the clutch cause he knew he'd miss free throws. And Baby bron bron is not clutch .....he wouldn't even shoot the last shot at an all star game. Dontcha remember kobe getting mad telling bron wtf are you doing cause bron wouldn't shoot it . Shaq was that guy. I know he couldn’t knock them free-throws down but who could stop him in his prime…he averaged almost 60% from the field throughout his career. They had to start the whole “Hack a Shaq” defense just to contain him, and although sometimes effective he won almost 70% of the games he played.

@@doseofkee1942 listen I know ALL of that too well. Shaq, to me, is 4th greatest center behind Kareem, Hakeem, and Wilt. But the title says most clutch Players. Now if it said most clutch PERFORMANCES then I agree he’s up there. But it said clutch PLAYER. And at the end of games, you can stop Shaq easily. Just used the rest of your fouls, and we’ll see how clutch he is

Yes the list had issues - like even giving Kobe a sniff at it. But Lebron isn't 2011, he has had an entire career - and HAS been clutch for most of it, pretty close to MJ if not at the Bird level. I do agree, West should NOT be MIA from this list - sadly, no video of a lot of his games and the "clutch" stats don't even go back to all of Bird's era.

@@mydogiscalledoscar On the list at all is a question mark. AS HIGH OF POSITION ON IT as they put him - no bloody way. On the other hand, how did Kobe even get THOUGHT ABOUT for this list? He's HORRIBLE in clutch situations, when you look at ALL the facts. FAR more likely to brick it when the game was on the line than he was to hit it.
