Wow! I’m in PG county and I’ve been to Baltimore a couple of times. I don’t think I’ve been to the real bad areas because even walking by myself I’ve never felt unsafe but then again it wasn’t dark out. If you can I would suggest moving.

He’s right about central bookings ..terrible conditions..it took for some Baltimore politician’s son to get lost in the system there before litigation was passed that now they must process an inmate within 24 hours of their initial arrest..before that u might be down there for weeks on a loitering charge it was crazy..

I lived in Baltimore my entire life. I just moved to the county and I am 48 yrs. old now. I have always loved the city, honestly never really felt afraid. I have lived in what some people may call the better areas of the city kind of like middle class. I just don't like what our young people are doing to each other with the senseless killings.

Born and raised in East Bmore . I witness here the city went from good to bad. Raising two children in the city was not easy. But I knew I had to do my job as a parent. I brought my kid's into this world. Protected and saved them from the wolves in the street's. Whether keeping them busy in school activites or a job. Now they are grown the choice's in life is on them. I felt for that young man, all his pain was deep rooted. You could see it in his eye's .. RIH now, he have peace no more worries..

He chooses to break the law. Every time he went to the dirty jail, he chose to go there when he committed the crime. Don't buy into this pity party. This guy would steal your purse if he thought that he could get away with it. These guys have major entitlement issues. They think that they are owed something. They don't think that the laws or society and the county do not apply to them due to them being 'held down'. No one is holding anyone down today. No one. These guys love to paint themselves as victims. They want everything done for them. They will not work for anything. ..Instead of complaining about how dirty the jail is....how about you choose NOT to go to jail. It is really that simple. Don't go to jail and you won't have to deal with the conditions.

No it's a way of living out here with Baltimore being so small you just want to feel free and it starts at a young age being in school all day from 7am to 315pm then you start getting older and don't want to be "soft" I get it man all I can say is your number one priority is yourself I'm latino but I know about this life out here and seen friends suffer end up with wrong choices praying.for you brother pray for me as well I need it too

Have you been robbed? As a cyclist, I have seen a ton of black drivers racing from one light to the other while dismissing me on my bike. One of the ran over my toes, another broke my rear wheel and drove away, another did an illegal turn in front of me then chased me to the next intersection cuz he thought I was at fault. One afternoon, a black teenager jumped out in front of my bike to scare me, then his friend punched me in the face to steal my cellphone. I, with broken glasses, begged them to return the phone. Asked people for help. No one came to my rescue. I just got my degree from Johns Hopkins and am ready to leave forever. I am happy I was not killed in this city.

Given the history of oppression that blacks have suffered in America, I want all black people to succeed (I’m White). Having said that, it drives me crazy to see so many individuals make choices that guarantee that they will never get ahead. Having multiple children outside of wedlock, without any means of supporting them for instance. If Black Lives Matter, then start acting like it. Am a black man living in murder capital Baltimore city I have seen 14 murders and 6 were friends I have seen live kidnappings I have seen a guy get killed with a shovel I have seen a woman get her face blew off at a broken phone booth.i have been hit in the foot by a stray bullet I have been stabbed I have been robbed across the street from a police station. It's bad in Baltimore so bad I have seen a rat rob a cat of his food in a alley.if you don't have to come to the hood of b/more don't come to the ghettos of Baltimore

marching with blm in retaliation to the police is the opposite of what this city needs. police brutality affects 1 out of a million, gangs affect probably 1 out of 3 people here.

My Brother , where as I do feel your pain , and yes , life in Baltimore if full of misery , dealing with strife and just the day to day struggle trying to survive , but my Brother maybe you need to change your Program , CHANGE YOUR PROGRAM , the Program inside your Head my Brother .............
