Hi Dr V. I had always struggled with spf's until I started using spf's without alcohol. This has made a huge difference to my compliance, as they had always felt stinging/burning on application before. Although I had used spf's whenever I went outside in the last couple of years (as previously they were a Summer only product - I'm 48), I had always hated the feel of them and they completely dried out my already sensitive.rosacea and eczema prone skin. They were never something my skin liked/tolerated well and definately a chore. Finding an spf without alcohol, which still feels fairly light on my skin and doesn't suck out all the moisture has been a game changer. It's no longer a chore and just part of my morning routine now. All my other skincare has been alcohol free for a very long time, as I have never used astringent toners etc. This is obviously talking about the solvent alcohols, as I love fatty alcohols due to having dry skin and hair. Dr V, will you please create an ingredient (and product) library on your website that we can refer to whenever buying a new product to check if the ingredients are all A-okay - sort of like ewg, while also talking about why an ingredient is good or bad for SOC. Also, hope you keep adding more products to your line that can be easily bought by people all over the world

I just discovered you last week and I'm so thankful for it. I immediately got rid of my glycolic acids and other products that I didn't realize weren't good for skin ofcolour. I've also switched to only wearing actives at night, and my skin already feels less irritated.

Hello Dr. V! I'm a new follower of your channel and I'm in LOVE. Thank you so much for what you're doing for us with SOC. I was wondering if you could do a review of the products by Shani Darden-especially her Texture Reform and Retinol Reform. The first one has retinyl palmitate and the latter has retinol. I'm a POC and about to start retinol for the first time. I was suggested these products. Her products are vegan, cruelty free AND fragrance free- something very rare to find. Thank you so much!

Love your knowledge and recommendations for Asian/brown skin. Please do a deep dive into Clinique Dramaticlly Different Moisturising Gel. I recently ordered Colorescience Face Shield SPF50+ after watching one of your videos. Let's see how it works for my sensitive skin. I am also planning to order Simple Facial Wash (for sensitive skin) as you recommended in one of your videos.
